BlackBaron: Anyone able to move App 2sd on aGalaxy S3? Thought it was a directory problem at first perhaps you should explain what samsung has to do with apps2sd. is that a samsung application? are those things supported on ICS and jellybean by the way? |
Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by BlackBaron: 9:48am On Nov 23, 2012 |
4llerbuntu:Simply put, Samsung has mothballed the app2sd functionality on their latest devices. My internal memory is now labelled as SD Card whilst external memory is extSD card. When trying to move apps, the app2sd fails with an error message as it can't locate 'phone'(internal memory) and move to sd. The story is Google is trying to make manufacturers ditch sd cards 'as they are less secure?' or something about storing data on clouds. Only option is to install Gls to sd; this can only move data files to ext sd card but not apps. |

Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by puskin: 10:17am On Nov 23, 2012 |
joeydozzy: So you can't stream/play you-tube vidz on the fly?? Then switch to CM10. |
Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by Nobody: 11:23am On Nov 23, 2012 |
puskin: I hardly stream, just download the flv file with tube mate and play on my stock video player but since I changed na mobo player which sucks. |

ciphoenix: thought you were waiting for the note 2 @ ciphoenix No m not, i dnt like the use of stylus on the Note so i want a Galaxy S3. @ 4llerbuntu please i need ur input on what ask about the Samsung Galaxy s3 |
Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by BlackBaron: 12:57pm On Nov 23, 2012 |
joeydozzy:Only works for rooted phones and Yes, I do have SU access. |
Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by LordReed(m): 1:51pm On Nov 23, 2012 |
joanana: Stylus use is addition not essential. I think it adds dimensions to the phone and makes it more than "just a phone". |
Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by 4llerbuntu(m): 1:59pm On Nov 23, 2012 |
BlackBaron: but i can move applications on my own samsung phones and it works perfectly for data files they get stored on the internal storage marked as sdcard. if you want to have them on your external micro sdcard, there is actually a minor tweak that switches the mount points and mounts the microsd as the sdcard and the internal one as external. search about it on google, its a well known minor hack, u just edit a file. i never paid it any attention because i never had any use for it!! as far as i know, unless i don't understand what you are saying, your complaints is a non-issue esp for a person on a custom rom |
Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by 4llerbuntu(m): 2:06pm On Nov 23, 2012 |
puskin: are you saying you can view flash video on your phone in browsers etc or that your stock CM10 video player plays flash videos? joanana: Please i need help from Samsung Galaxy S3 users. I want to buy Samsung Galaxy S3 n m having second thoughts... please if u ve used the phone for more than 6 months, i need know if the phone is worth it n if u ve experienced any issues on the phone. Else i will stick to my Samsung galaxy s2. Thanks issues like what? as far as i know, its simply a more powerful version of the S2. just as the Note is essentially a Larger dimension s2/s3 unless you have some very esoteric needs from your phone you should not have a problem. its a phone!! a very good one. thats the first phone i seriously had doubts flashing a custom ROM on, i just did'nt see the usual rubbish like lags etc. but i did eventually, and its not even with me again. i use the Note as a daily driver, and i can recommend that too, esp now that Jellybean is going to be released officially for it soon |
Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by joanana(f): 2:38pm On Nov 23, 2012 |
4llerbuntu: issues like what? issues like noise while making call, wifi issues, screen touch not being effective, n battery issues. My phone is my laptop, i do everything i want in it. i read, watch movies, take pictures browse n play with different apps that will the phone unique, etc.i want to root my s3 and will my phone function properly months after rooting it? cuz i guessed thats what happen to my galaxy s2 . if you r to choose between the galaxy note 2 n galaxy s3? what will be ur pick? Help me plzzz!!!!!! |
Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by 4llerbuntu(m): 2:56pm On Nov 23, 2012 |
joanana: these on a S3? NEVER!!! joanana: this is an unfair question, because im biased. but if you want your phone to be your laptop watch movies take pics play with apps that will make the phone unique the obvious choice is the Note BUT do not discountenance the SIZE!!!! be very sure u will be comfortable with a daily driver that size. dont get me wrong its not too big in my view. i LOVE it esp because of the size, but its an issue for some folks. if u good with it, by all means the Note2 but that s3 is a very very very good phone oooooo. best android phone there is. Phablets are a different class |
Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by joanana(f): 3:23pm On Nov 23, 2012 |
