Following the accusations and counter-accusations in the ongoing fuel subsidy report bribery scandal between Farouk Lawan and Femi Otedola, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said that both the giver and taker of bribes should be punished. Speaking with The Guardian London on a mission to the UK to promote investment in Nigeria, Obasanjo said fighting corruption was not a one-night affair as givers of most of the corruption in Africa were from outside Africa and as such both givers and takers should be punished alike.
