Pic: One of such houses. Notice the local boy staring. Funny enough, the locals i spoke with were not Yoruba, they were Ghanaians! Was suprised. They spoke Awe language i believe its called. Disclaimer: I'm not saying the islanders were Ghanaians, just that they few i spoke with were Ghanaians.

Very nice pictures. Thanks for sharing Whitehorse. I would love to visit Ikare Island someday. The truth is, if one has money Nigeria is the place to be. If I was filthy rich, there is no way I will live in the western world. What for? I will just visit there and come back. Anyways, it is well. |

Hmmm, the sort of display of wealth you see in naija is shocking. If you are not carefully, you go back to your base feeling you are wasting your time abroad! |

Re: Easter 2012 Boat Trip To Ikare Island, Lagos by Whitehorse: 12:45pm On Jun 30, 2012 |
^^^ No, it was a private boat ride, boat belongs to a member of my family. Well, as per the exact location of the Island, its unfortunate i did not take my GPS logger on that trip, i'd have given you exact latititude and longitude. However, what the boat captain told me is that the Island is off the coast of Ojo. Ojo covers i believe from Trade fair to Maybe Alaba i think. Sorry i really do not have the full location details |
