Please i need advice for i am about to take a decision that wil affect my future.my questions are:Between Ican and a career in datat analysis/mgt which one is more better considering Nigeria labour market.if you have any other professional exam or certification that can open doors for me please you free to post it.just want to take a certification that is in great demand in nigeria.i am a graduate of engineering(metallurgy and materials engineering).i served in 2009/2010.since then i have not gotten any job.i am very much ready to go into any field so far as is in high demand.i am 31years now.please help for am not getting younger.thank you.

Data analysis/mgt is good for u since u have engineering background, but at the same time it may not be too good for u since engineers in nigeria do not go into R&D in engineering where such services wud have been needed. ICAN is better if u can endure starting from foundation level. But it pays u better at the end.

I feel you don't need to go through the conventional schooling process to become a data analyst,just 1or 2 months workshop or training,books on data analysis and good excel/spreedsheet skill can can equip you with the right skills to do data

You are actually right sha. One does not need a certification to become a data analyst; some few months training only would be ok for those that are fast learners. But statistical data analysis is beyond that. U need training on statistical methods, analysis, hypothesis testing, and interpretation of statistical analysis results.
