As a part of Unveiling Africa Foundation’s (UVA) mission to educate and engage African Teenagers for the purpose of nation building, UVA is rolling out its first ever Teenagers Innovation Prize (TIP) contest. TIP is aimed at rewarding African teenagers (13 -19) who go beyond identifying issues in their societies to proffering sustainable solutions for them.
For far too long, we all have heard people endlessly talk about Nigeria’s problems without proffering solutions for them. Talk without action gets us nowhere! As such, Unveiling Africa Foundation seeks to provide a platform for Nigerians to engage in critical thinking and problem solving for social change during their formative years.

Themed ‘Solving Everyday Problems’, the contest is inviting teenagers to provide concrete ideas or prototype solutions to identified societal issues. For example, UVA wants to see how teenagers will solve the everyday problems they face or observe ranging from traffic, to lack of public washrooms to drainage issues to power issues to bad roads to child labor and the list goes on. Innovations from all fields are accepted.
The top three winners of the contest will share N500,000 while the top ten winners will be exposed to Unveiling Africa Foundation Leadership & Entrepreneurship Program.
