waja: He was an ex Aide to IBB, one of those that failed during regional selection. Why won't him know them. He waited until He was appointed NSA b4 He could get their contact. Woe to them.^^^^ or maybe Azazi never cared to meet the elders in the north to know exactly what was happening or who to talk to.It is glaring sometimes that a common visit and direct contact with the affected people could provide substantial and reliable information. When Yar'adua tackled the issue of the militants he sent GEJ and some gov once in awhile in to the creeks to hear and get first hand information. Now during the boko haram crisis not GEJ not sambo or NSA can master the courage to pay a first hand assessment of the affect areas.Unofficially Obj went. What a shame!Anyway na so life be o!GEJ is doing selective visits in the heat of pain for people in the core affected areas. With all that happened in Kano he went there!why not Borno or yobe that burns everyday.Just to even keep the spirits of those victimize and assure them that government is aware and concerned. I welcome the push/visit by the NSA,it will better position him with information to furnish the presidency with first hand analysis so as to decide and tackle this issue. At the same time clear the tonnes of sycophants going to see him and blind him with unreliable selfish information. Good work NSA!!! It is critical to know first hand.I pray a lasting solution is reached.May God almighty give the leadership and president the wisdom to manage the situation and reach an acceptable position for Nigerians. |

Re: I Will Meet Boko Haram Members For Dialogue – Dasuki by edicolove: 9:41am On Jul 05, 2012 |
As much as I do not agree with government negotiating with terrorists, I do admit here that the BH situation is peculiar and will need a lot of wisdom to handle. BH is terrorism that has the support of the host community. When terrorism has the support of the host community, it becomes impossible to eradicate. This is the situation in Afghan and Iraq. That is why the US with all their resources have not being able to root it out. When you say in a blanket way that gov should not negotiate with terrorists, you assume that conditions of terrorism are the same all over the world and they are not. The british gov has been negotiating with the IRA for years, though not directly. they have even taking some steps to put in place some of their demands. My problem with BH is that they have the sympathy and support of the core north. The core north sees it as their best way to negotiate themselves back to power. This report has fully confirmed that. Dasuki went to Borno and he got the BH guys phone numbers. How did he get them? Simple. The members of the community in Borno have it. They have always had it. Why did they not release it before? Because they support the movement. They see it as their ticket back to power. We have to understand the game here. This is what Gen Azazi was saying when he said that the northern consensus candidate move escalated BH. The violence immediately after the 2011 elections corroborated that. But the dilemma for GEJ is that the south is not united as an entity in fighting this northern agenda because of their regional selfish interests. This is what the core north has always capitalised on since independence. The lack of unity in the south. That is exactly what played out in the choice of Tambuwal as speaker. The ACN and APGA reps aligned with the north. But what they forgot is that the North was united in accepting their own. They hardly ever fight their own. As inept as Yaradua was, they never fought him. The same BH never went around throwing bombs even after Yaradua killed their leader. Isn't that funny. When Turai held Nigeria to ransom, no northern leader spoke against her. Instead they joined her to lie and deceive us that Yaradua was hale and hearty. That is how they roll and I respect them for that. But back here, in the south side, we are like fighting dogs. I mean, just read the posts on NL and you have all the evidence you need. The south has never united in one voice to speak against BH. SNG and others have never really come out to take a stand against it. Instead, they will go around insulting the president. They will emphasize how it is his constitutional duty to protect. But in reality, the conditions of society determines how governance works, not just the laws written in a constitution. There are legal solutions and there are political solutions in governance. I pity Nigerians because they still have no clue what the problem of Nigeria is. It isn't corruption. It is deep seated division in our national psyche. We are not one. We have never been. No matter how much infrastructure you build, it will not bring peace. It will definitely improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians, but it will not bring peace. Only a sincere negotiation between the entities in Nigeria will bring lasting peace. 1 Like |

This goes to show you are a very bad loser who will never embrace the truth but rather die trying to prove your stupidity as bokoharam would. Your name tells you are one of them and your behavior goes to convince everyone. Killing bokoharam will bring me Joy, I am so sorry if it hurts you as I am very happy to have this opportunity to tell you this directly now that I know why you are so afraid of the fact that negotiations is a waste of time. Are you thinking of get away with your crimes? not in your life. We will fight you with everything, just like you started invisibly and even if the government says its settled, just set up a bokoharam office and see. You started the music and must dance to it. We are waiting for the government to make you guys visible, so that the dance will begin proper. There is a limit of pain the body can tolerate and we have had it, if you have lost an entire family and other love ones, slaughtered on a Sunday inside a Church in one day while serving God.I spit on you! you will hear the scores. 1 Like |

If this man is serious about Negotiating with these BH, then you all better get prepared and arm yourselves. If GEJ government stick to its stand that they will negotiate if only the leaders of BH show their face. Then: The BH leaders may give negotiation by proxy as first condition for dialog. Government may not agree. If the BH leaders come out to negotiate, then at one point The negotiations will definitely fail. Cause their demands will be impossible to the government. Then the two parties go back to their trenches and it will be full scale fire for fire. Now the Gov has seen their confirmed faces, we then see how easy it is for Army to shoot rabits in desert. |

Which Boko Haram is mallam Dasuki Sambo referring to? Last time I checked, all the so-called norther leaders that were interviewed during the era of Azazi claimed that boko haram had been hijacked by politicians and other interest groups to further their own interests,so which of them is mallam Dasuki referring to and what does he hope to discuss with the terrorists I stay around some persons that are close to certain quarters at the wards,LG,State and even the FG.From what I gather, whatever malam Dasuki and his norther co-travellers do or dont do with their bokom haram,no matter who becomes president in 2015,things WILL NEVER revert to staus quo ante 2000 as far as appropriation of the oil wealth of the Niger Delta is concerned Boys are not smiling at all |

Megabyts: when people pass comments like this they display thier cancerous ignorance openly.many times BH have told the world and we all have seen it practically how they get thier funding by attacking banks and get thier guns by attacking police stations.but ignoramous like u continue a wild goose chase for sponsors of BH. BH are a set of young boys like the kidnappers in the south bent on exploitin th loophole in the corrupt security apparatus in nija. Aww! Must u make a fool of urself? Even though u have been certified 'stupid', must u utilise every opportunity to trumpet it? If they rob banks to get money, and rob Police Stations to get guns, where do they rob to get bombs and explosives? 1 Like |

mu2sa2: Late Yar'adua negotiated with terrorists and succeeded, why should negotiating with another set of terrorists be perceived as wrong? Dont tell me that Niger Delta militants were known and fighting for a cause. BH is also the same:their leaders are not jinns, and from 2001 to 2009 BH never engaged in violence, just preaching for social justice and end to corruption. So, it's easy to deal with BH if there is sincerity from FG. People who advocate force and more force forget that violence begets violence. Ask Americans - ten years in Afghanistan with all their missiles, drones, intelligence and MONEY and they hav failed to secure even Kabul the capital city. Dont expect that our rag-tag security forces, corrupt and unreliable as they are,can fare better here.Dialogue, dialogue, dialogue is better than violence. Let's all work for peace and surely God will hear our prayers for peace.. Why must you make mockery of yourself? Did I hear you say that they were preaching peace between 2001 and 2009? After that a man whose Nigerian source of income have polluted their father land came to power and they (B.H) started preaching BOMBING and KILLING of christians. Why not MUSLIMS. If Buhari had won, they would have continued keeping peace. Woe to them. We are waiting to see their faces during the negotiation. |

redcliff: Insane man. He sed he has the numbers of key bokos. Can't they perform intelligence operations? Have network companies they use monitor their every move? When a new bomb is being made, who their associates are and start taking them one by one. Trust me, when spying on someone and the person doesn't know, u r more than a million steps ahead You should have given the clueless Azazi this advice and there wouldn't have been need to bring Dasuki in. Azazi was a monumental failure , please give the new guy a chance , he has spent less than a month on the job so far. |
Re: I Will Meet Boko Haram Members For Dialogue – Dasuki by HammedSodiqq: 10:38am On Jul 05, 2012 |
Boko Haram members, though terrorists, are still Nigerians. Any Govt with human face, will always seek to know the reason why some members of the society are aggrieved. Though they have unleashed terror in a bid to expressing their dissatisfaction with Govt policies, the need to engage them in a dialogue so as to find a lasting solution to our security wahala not out of place. America claims to be against negotiation, even when some of their finest philosophers WILLIAMS JAMES, SANDER PIERCE, and JOHN DEWEY advocated PRAGMATISM as a workable solution to existential problems. This philosophy hinges on workability and practicability. Consequently, if dialoque has practical relevance, and proven workability, then it is the only pragmatic solution to our problem. |

To tell you how bad the situation is the NSA has the contacts of key Boko Haram boys Where did he get it from? The people that gave him those contacts obviously know these people Its so unfortunate that these insurgents are being sponsored by key northerners GEJ should go after the kings, queens, knights and rooks and not the pawns. I guess his fear is that such a move may lead down a part for the strong with a very steep climb |
Re: I Will Meet Boko Haram Members For Dialogue – Dasuki by kinguwem: 11:03am On Jul 05, 2012 |
The option of the NSA is not a preferable method in this situation. For instance, look at the activities of terrorists in Mali. Regional leaders are calling for the intervention of Ecomog. A former USA president, John kennedy had a bitter experience after authorizing negotiations with terrorists. The question on this issue is, will the NSA adviser dialogue with Al-Quaeda and other international terrorist groups since Boko Haram has connections with them? I think the NSA is on a wild goose chase. |
Re: I Will Meet Boko Haram Members For Dialogue – Dasuki by manosteel(m): 11:04am On Jul 05, 2012 |
If Dasuki knew who the bokoharams were and have their contacts, the first thing he would have is to round them and pick them up Atleast to proof a point. Bokoharam is faceless unlike the Niger Deltan Militant who were bold enough to come out and that was why it was easy for government to strike a deal with them. OBJ made the same mistake, went to far North with FG private Jet and high power delegation to meet Bokoharam, only ended up meet Alamanjiris and the best he could do was to visit Yusuf's family to say hi to them, while name like Abuqada,Abudada,Abukudu and anything that has to do with Abu, the so called leaders of Bokoharam continue to exist in the imaginary world. |
