You have 2 options. You either use agberos(area boys) or get an army officer nor be police ooooooo,get army becos na dis kind matter I dey like before na,if you fit get 2 or 3 army officers storm dat place with your inlaw with their uniform with guns,dem go provide some amount but nor be all ooo becos when crocodile nor dey vomit wetin e don choip.

i can see that most of those that have replied havent had an encounter neither know someone who has except few.
I have been a victim which occured last year. Firstly,dont try hiring boys to deal with them because its their den you are going to and they will surely have backups.
Secondly,the way out to deal with them is by getting soldiers if you know any. The idea of police is so wrong because most of the police officers knows them and will only use you to get money. Soldiers by the way will deal with them ruthlessly without anyone questioning you.
Thirdly,dont underestimate their jazz. Most of these fraudsters know when their victim is no longer their spell. Involve a strong spiritual pastor to pray for your brother. Reason being that some places curse on their victims.
Happen to know a particular case,the lady was initiated and was used for six months,took deliverance to neutralise the jazzz

My younger sister was once a victim,she gave them about 50k she was to go pay in for someone,they told her it wasn't enough so she went to meet my dad in the office.

She caused a scene where she was holding him,crying,kneeling down and saying he must give her 100k,my dad was bewildered but he gave her a thunderous\resounding slap she'd never forget, like a dream she gradually came back to her senses and started narrating the little of what she could remember about how she got to his office.

I suggest a good back hand SLAP for your BIL.

Go and rent about four motor park touts. Explain the situation to them. Give your brother inlaw 200k without informing him of the touts. Tell your brother inlaw to take the 200k to the scammers (let the touts be on surveilance of your brother inlaw). Let the touts clandestinely follow your brother inlaw unnoticed. Come back and tell us your success stories. Problem solved!

please just take your brother to church and ask your pastor to pray for him because he is under a spell already by the scammers,dont pay them anymore money ..because its all scam..use the 200k you are about giving him to do something better or you give to the motherless baby home.instead of wasting it to a scammers..

Do not use d police,use private detectives.there are a lot of them in lagos.get a legal advise from lawyer,above all pray to God.pls do not give him any more money unless unless there is concrete plan to get ur money back.relax and organized.do not be panic.

obaf: So many people are telling me i cant get anything back, but i like the style @cog1 said. that there's no justice in scams like this, because they work directly with police, that i should just go and work on my bro in law to clear his eyes and move on. that if i go in commando style, it can turn out to be a big problem, and counter productive, which will be a big mess, which i dont think i need.

The boy has realized he was duped, after going thru some psychological session. He had agreed & accepted. Its only the fear of paying back all the money he collected from family & friends that is disturbing him now, which I have been able to make him calm down.
We will have to ignore those scammers, in as much the pain is, in as much d bitterness of them getting away with it, we don't have a case! They'll say they collected money for his spiritual cleansing, which was d ploy they used in getting to him.
I never or will never give him any money for any kind of arrangement, the only authority that I can prove to, that is suppose to handle such situation are corrupt too. My guy that was duped of 5.6million, after arresting those people, paying 100k for prosecution of the dupes, nothing is out d case for the past 5week. And he resumes at police headquaters everyday. Don't think I have that time or energy.
The best way is to go beat them up, what if they call in their own police, arrest us as thief, even if u go with mopol without d police station in dat area's command, its illegal,will be arrested with the mobol, on top someone's stupidity.
I leave it to God to punish them.
