kazala and Dunddy

you guys are asking questions that can easily be found on Google!

a search of the cfa site will give u the prices of the exam

a search thru the website of your desired airline will give u prices of tickets to Ghana or wherever u are writing the exam.

lets ask questions that truly need answers!!!

Re: CFA Candidates In The House by Tolulop001(f): 5:18pm On Feb 17, 2011
hello dunddy sorry about that.

the cost of exam plus registration is like 995 dollars if u make the first deadline

goes up to about 1085 dollars after that one,

final deadline is 1435 dollars or so.

For Dec exam, first deadline is March 16th

2nd deadline is August

3rd deadline is September

hope this helps.

@ Kazala, Tolu is right, you should stop asking questions that are easy to resolve. If you are planning to undertake any activity the first and obvious step is to search the net and ask questions only when you cant find answers. Your comments show youve not done any research worthy of the name.

Re: CFA Candidates In The House by Dunddy(m): 6:12pm On Feb 28, 2011
guys,
im really intrested in this CFA but the problem is:
1) for a guy earning as low as 20k per month, wont it be a disaster to save, pass and not get something better given the world economic situation?

dont mind me, i have seen people with diverse qualifications without being GAINFULLY employed.

2) being an economist by profession though, i know it's good i do it but do you think i need Oracle financial and SPSS as some people advice?
Re: CFA Candidates In The House by Tolulop001(f): 2:23pm On Mar 01, 2011
^^^^^^ are u at NYSC? cuz 20k is pretty low(no offense oh!)

its almost impossible to save from 20k monthly for this kind of exam, without any other support from elsewhere.

Nevertheless, for the fact that you are here suggests that u feel it is worth taking

and really we (on this thread) are the wrongest people to ask for advice cuz we are all in the same boat!

If u can write it, pls do(my personal opinion). It may not set you apart totally, but people look at you differently.

I was talking to a CFA friend of mine, he said that this CFA full certification had changed his life,

he is getting job offers here and there, and im not talking only Naija offers oh

but the guy na confirmed sharp guy, im sure CFA plus Naija hustle = better life.

make God just ansa ma prayers for this L2 cheesy

Re: CFA Candidates In The House by bechex(m): 11:37pm On Apr 09, 2011
Hello Guys, Guess the 8week countdown starts tomorrow, there's little time left with plenty stuff to review, I wish us all d best.
One advice for those of us writing in Ghana, u may want to buy ur ticket in advance to avoid paying higher fares as the month of June approaches. The difference in fares between buying now and buying in May could sometimes be as high as 100%.
