I must confess, Halima Abubakar is a BIG force to reckon with in Nollywood, she knows how to interpret her roles and most importantly, she is a responsible and homely person.
However, in a recent chat with Newsmen, EDESON ONLINE NEWS gathered that the quiet actress, Halima Abubakar is currently at home treating stress. She is taking time to relax after working tirelessly over the years.

Most people think Halima Abubakar is the daughter of Atiku Abubakar (ex-vice president of Nigeria) but that is not true, with the information available to EDESON NEWS, Halima Abubakar is from Kogi State, her father was a banker and had worked with the defunct SAVANNAH bank. Halima Abubakar has a degree in Sociology from Bayero University, Kano.

It might also be of interest that the tattoo-breast actress, Halima is now a movie producer and is currently shooting two movies which will be due to be released before the end of 2012.

However, Halima is saddened over her unsuccessful friendship with people especially in the Nollywood caucus, she disclosed that most people these days, don’t have genuine love for one another, they just want opportunity to mess things up for you or get something they want. She also berated on how some Nollywood stars discriminate and oppress people especially people that are not stars.

Speaking on her love life, the respected actress did not hide herself. She affirmed that she is seriously in love with a man but she wouldn’t want to disclose his name to the public. She plans to do a quiet and low-cost wedding with the lucky lover.
Halima, whose wedding date is not yet known, said she won’t lavish money on her wedding the way every movie star is doing now.

Interestingly, the gorgeous movie star is not only into acting, she is also a farmer and manages a poultry, fish pond and sugar cane farm in Lokoja, Kogi State.
Due to her contributions in the Nollywood scene, just last year she won 9 awards and has featured in over 50 films over the years.
