Good evening dear all. Am delighted to be part of this group. Great job here!

I currently use an e46 2004 model but am looking at moving to an e60 cause of space for the family.
The problem though is that am wondering whether to buy an 04 or an 08 model.

The reason for my confusion is that most mechanics in abuja are advising me against buying one with the N engine cause according to them, its problematic and costly to maintain.
They're advising I buy a 2004 model with the double venos engine which is the same engine my e46 uses.

I need your advice pls.

Kindly add me

why dont you ask for his number, and then call him?

If you really want to market your business ii would suggest that.

I believe this is against the rule 22 of Nairaland. However, we stand to be corrected.

Never buy a car with a known fault unless you are confident you can fix the fault.

The seller claimed that once the compressor is changed, everything would be ok.

Very reliable?? US Spec BMW with twin power turbo engines and our shitty petrol?? You are better off with a straight 6 engine from Europe.

535 I think is a No No

I have seen numerous 535 BMW in Nigeria, hence my interest. Currently driving 2007 Passat 2.0turbo which is similar in technology with no issue. I think the whole thing boils down to good maintenance culture and good mech, couple with spares availability.

Hello, I am currently using a baby honda and just got a good offer for a BMW 3 series 2004. the issue is the car is a right hand drive and would need a conversion to LHD. I am also concerned with possible issues that may arise from using a beemer cause as I here maintenance and parts are not so cheap compared to honda and toyota.

I just want a honest review from someone who owns a beemer on the maintenance of the car and performance as well .
