BMW all the way for me, I've used 3series, 5series and now x5.
I only go to mechanic once a year and have never had a reason to try another brand.
But right now I have little gear box issue with my x5 based in Portharcourt,
Please add me to the BMW group 08071495571

What's the issue and how would you rate the x5 being a BMW man

I got removed for no reason.....no one talk about bmw on the WhatsApp forum, total waste of time.
i also got removed frm the WhatsApp group on October 31st without any warning. I wasn't involved in any fight. I also avoided religiously & politically charged posts in order to stick to the main theme of the group; Cars.. And only commented randomly. I spent more time reading because of my busy schedule, i was surprised to find out that i was removed .. There's always a first time though.

IIRC you should use only synthetic engine oil for your car. Engine oils with SAE grade 0w-x or 5w-x

Conventional oil will ruin your engine if you go very long between oil change.

Sure. Going by the numbers 535i has more horsepower, and i better tuned for performance than 523i

Fuel consumption may not vary much unless there is significant engine or emissions problem.

I Bought a diesel engine BWM X5 over a year now and I have not been able to get reliable Mechanic to maintain it. The car was parked for long before I bought it. Can anybody recommend good Diesel engine mechanic.

Kindly add me to the BMW WhatsApp group (08098989095).

You need MONEY, commitment, fair knowledge of the workings of diesel engine and a lover of DIY to really enjoy a diesel BMW in Nigeria.

If I had the money, I would have owned a diesel bimmer.

Hello house, I plan buying a Nigerian used BMW 5 Series, E39. I have read on some NL tread that it is very reliable and some complain of BMW being problematic.
I am used to Honda and Benz but I want to feel the driving experience of a BMW car. Please I need advice from the house how easy it is to maintain the E39

Hello Bimmer Fans,

Happy new year to us all.

After four years, I am finally putting up my E46 Touring 2000 model for sale. It is a hard decision for me because of the level of maintenance I have put in so far.

I want to try my hands on the X5 because of a higher ground clearance due to the bad roads in my area.

If you are looking to buy a well maintained E46 Touring BMW, do hit me up especially for those within the FCT, for ease of inspection.

If you have a well maintained X5, manual or automatic drive for sale, please lemme know.

Cheers

Fellow Bavarians,
I have been a Registered member of Nairaland since 2010 and I stumbled upon this thread two days ago. I must give kudos to sexylogan for the initiative. It's good to have a discussion forum that's specific to us in Nigeria, climate, road conditions, fuel type etc rather than make estimations and deductions based on information gotten from from foreign threads eg: E90post, bimmerforums, etc which became a necessity for me to keep up with trends, issues and updates after I acquired a 2006 330i N52 Sport Package two months ago. My first encounter with German technology came in the form of a Volkswagen Golf Mk IV which I seriously babied by the way.... It's sturdiness, stability and general drive got me hooked! It had to be German or nothing else from then on! I have driven but not necessarily owned Japmobiles in the past and those of us on here who are like me, know that they are lifeless compared to even the basest of German Tech! Nuff said, it was time for the Golf to go and it gave way to a 2000 BMW 323i (Touring), which I saw and bought here on Nairaland through Cityhood.(Really nice fellow by the way!) Uboma might remember the car as I remember he seemed interested in it as well at the time. Now I was driving!!! I have cleared the doubts of many a Japmobile along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway and you know what, it's as if I was sitting in the comfort of my living room!!!! The car was a dream to drive. This was mid-2015 or thereabouts. As a side note, for those of us who reside in the north and know fully well the mentality of our northern brothers, it was unheard that they would touch anything other than a Honda. Do I have a witness? As I write this however, the E46 is selling like hot bread just coming out of the oven in the north! That says something doesn't it my fellow bimmer lovers? Moving on....I had many an adventure with my E46 but yet again it was time to let her go. If I thought I was driving when I had the E46, I was in for the surprise of my life when God decided to do his own thing and enable me acquire the E90. I sat down in her for the first time, slotted the key fob, put my foot on the brake and pressed the start button......it was music to my ears! The horses sprang to life and were waiting to be unleashed! Wow!! Its been pure joy since she came into my life men!! I get looks from the guys AND the babes. (Good thing I'm married) wink The new adventures and doubt clearing on the road so far are all stories for another day.
I'm here and I ain't going nowhere. It's great to have a family who although I may not see, I know will always have my back if the need arises as far as my Bimmer is concerned.
Here are a few pics of her and the aftermarket rear lights I have ordered for her. That's the only mod I'm carrying out for now as I'd like to keep her as stock as possible.
Again, glad to be here.

Bro can you please tell me your story about this car? I’m looking at getting one can see you’ve own this since 216.
