WHY TREATING NYSC CORP MEMBERS BAD?

This message is directed first to the Kwara State Government and second,to other state governments involved.

It came to my notice that the Kwara State Government have not been treating the NYSC corp members good,the latest of all the miss treatment is that which occure to the NYSC members deployed to Kwara State some weeks ago.

Most of them were assigned to a duty post without the govrnment making provision for their accomodation or any kind of support,this corp members are left to take care of themselves despite being a stranger in the state. This is very bad.

We have to remember that all this fresh gradauates were deployed from various states across the country,they had no knowledge about kwara and other states they may be deployed to,how come we subject them to such hard treatment? They are suppose to impact knowledge on our community and contribute their quota to the National development,but how can they do that under such harsh condition? Example of such posting was a lady name chinyere,a corper deployed from Enugu State to Kwara. After completing the 3 weeks orientation camp,she was posted to a junior secondary school inside Odota area. Upon getting to the school,she was told in the word below: No pay, no accomodation and you are free to stay or leave. She looked so weak and lazy after going through the stress of locating the school,yet all they could offer her for willingless to serve the land is such.

This should be in front page. It is not peculiar to Kwara alone. Infact my friends posted to my own State Imo, Akwa-Ibom, Cross River, Ondo are all saying the same thing. Some were even rejected at their ppa and will search for where to work themselves without expecting any form of payment.

the govt should something about it,there should be an undrstanding and minimum requiremnt from states.
