Chukwudi condemned the spread of false prophecies by what he termed "puppet prophets," asserting his credibility: “For many years, I have prophesied that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will become president. It hasn't happened yet, and some Nigerians argue that my prophecy is false, but the word of God never fails.




“I have made countless prophecies, all of which have come true. I don’t prophesy and fail; the word of God lives in me. I could list hundreds of fulfilled prophecies, but I won’t.”




He further emphasized his earlier prediction about Donald Trump: “Three times I said that Donald Trump would be pardoned by God because he is on a mission to rescue America and the world from the kingdom of darkness. Just before the election, I prophesied again that he must become president, and it happened as I said.”

The Federal Government has allocated funds to settle outstanding salaries for members of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Federal Universities (NASU) and to provide profits for retirees under the Nigerian Union of Pensioners' Contributory Pension Scheme.




This announcement was made in a statement on Saturday, signed by Bawa Mokwa, the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation.




Mokwa indicated that disbursements to NASU members have already started, with several individuals confirming they have received their payments.




“The Federal Government has released funds to pay the withheld salaries of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Federal Universities,” the statement read.




“Additionally, funds have been allocated for benefits for retirees under the Nigerian Union of Pensioners' Contributory Pension Scheme. The Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation confirmed that payments to the Non-Academic Staff of Federal Universities have begun, with many already confirming receipt.”

The Department of State Services (DSS) barred Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), from meeting with his legal team on Friday.

This information was shared by Kanu’s lead counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, in a post on X. Ejimakor stated that the DSS’s actions represent a continued disregard for a court ruling that granted Kanu access to his legal representatives.



He emphasized his commitment to resuming all suspended legal proceedings with renewed determination following this latest incident. Ejimakor wrote: “Today, in blatant and ongoing defiance of an existing court order, the DSS prevented Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's legal team from visiting him. Consequently, we will vigorously continue all previously halted legal actions to enforce compliance.”



This marks the second instance in October where the DSS denied Kanu access to his lawyers. Kanu has been held by the DSS since his rearrest and extraordinary rendition in 2021. In response to this situation, the Abuja Federal High Court previously threatened to hold DSS Director General Adeola Ajayi in contempt and potentially jail him.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has Requested Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, to put an end to what it regarding as “ongoing blackmail” of President Bola Tinubu, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, and the judiciary regarding the recent ruling that seized state allocations. The APC stressed that “sentiments cannot override facts in the eyes of the law.”




In a press conference in Abuja on Friday, Rivers APC Chairman Tony Okocha criticized Governor Fubara’s tactics, arguing that they would not improve his political position.




Okocha accused Fubara of attempting to sway public opinion against the court's decision, which halted federal allocations to Rivers State due to unresolved issues.




He stated, “Wike brought Fubara to his current position, lifting him from obscurity to political prominence. No one is suffocating anyone. The conflict in Rivers State is solely between Sim Fubara and himself.”




He claimed that the political turmoil in Rivers could have been resolved if Governor Fubara had heeded President Tinubu’s intervention.




When asked for a solution, the APC caretaker chairman insisted that the governor must adhere to the laws of the land, particularly those concerning the state budget.




“Sections 120, 121, and 122 clearly address this matter regarding the budget,” he added.




“As a political party, the All Progressives Congress stands firmly by the court’s ruling, as it is what governs civil society; it is the court's authority, not individual morality.”




Okocha also took the opportunity to defend Nyesom Wike against attempts to tarnish his reputation, noting that in the numerous court cases—about 32—he is not a party. “Why involve the President?” he questioned.




Regarding recent efforts by some Niger Delta stakeholders and elders to mediate in the Rivers crisis, Okocha described such initiatives as too late.




“It is foolish to lament after the damage is done. There’s a saying that you shouldn’t cry over spilled milk,” he remarked.




He asked, “Where have these elders been? The situation is becoming critical, with the only remaining challenge being the Supreme Court.”




He expressed skepticism about the elders’ late involvement, stating, “What are they coming to do now? They previously told the governor he was all-knowing and could do anything, which led him to believe he had unlimited power.”




Okocha criticized the elders for encouraging Fubara’s overconfidence, which has now left him in a difficult position. He concluded by asserting that true peace can only be achieved by following the law.

Lawyers, litigants, and members of the public in Abia experienced confusion and disappointment on Friday as the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) initiated another round of strike action.



As a result, JUSUN’s enforcement team sealed off court complexes throughout the state, halting court activities. Many lawyers and their clients who arrived for scheduled court matters found themselves locked out.

In a statement signed by Eze Chinedu, JUSUN Chairman for Abia State, and Assistant Secretary Chinedu Nwachukwu, the strike was attributed to the alleged failure of the state government to provide palliative rice, to pay a N15,000 wage award to JUSUN members, and to include JUSUN members in the previous N30,000 minimum wage. They also voiced their anger over the non-payment of gratuities owed to retired JUSUN staff, among other grievances.
