Politics / Prophesy by 9jasmart(m): 10:44am On Apr 04, 2015
Is phrophesy now a contest among these "men of God" ? Cos I don't get it; someone is always rushing to claim to have prophesied anything that happens. Lots of prophesies about election, the boko haram, the kenya attack and lots, as if there is a prize there to claim... or a means of self publication? Why are there no good prophesies? The answer is pure and simple: bad things are at high proximity. Sometimes this looks like psychologic tool; ones prophephsies are made, people's minds are logged on to them no matter how long it takes. Am not here to debunk the reality but how many of them are really true and genue? What is your view in this?
Romance / Reasons Why Girls/ladies Date Older Men. by 9jasmart(m): 1:08pm On Apr 02, 2015
See The Reasons Why Girls/Ladies Date Older Men

So there was a thread created earlier today about the age gap for a lady or guy to get married. I observed that many girls preferred to date older guys from their comments. I don't really see this as a bad thing but what I find ridiculous is a girl dating a guy way older than her. How can an 18 year old girl who is still struggling with JAMB or probably still in the University be dating a guy of 29-32 and be comfortable.

To me that's cradle robbery. When the guy started having sex you were probably still in kindergarten or wearing diapers and yet you find nothing bad in dating him.

However that is not what I want to dwell on. I discussed with some of my female friends as to why they prefer dating older men and here are some of the reasons I could garner.

1. Financial stability.
One of the Major reasons is Financial stability. The girls believe dating somebody older than them will help them escape some of their financial hurdles. They don't want to associate with young guys of their age who are still hustling to make paper. Some of them will not date you once you still depend on your parents. That's why some of them can date a married man. You find majority of these types in the Universities and other tertiary institutions.

2. Experience
One of the reasons I got from a girl is Experience. In her words she said "Older guys are more experienced in the matters of Love". Hmmm. I don't know how true this is

Is it that the older you are the more girls you would have dated and therefore you'll have experience? The Ladies should help us with explanations please.

3. Reliability/Trust
Another point Noted out is that they can easily trust these guys. One girl told me that she can easily trust an older guy and he has less tendencies to cheat. She says younger guys are still immature and adventurous so they cannot be fully trusted. Hmmm

4. Freedom
Another point noted is freedom. Some girls like the fact that an older guy will be too busy with his work to be insecure about her activities. You see cases of a girl who is in the university dating a working class guy far away and so she has the freedom to do whatever she wants with other young guys and her real boyfriend may not bother to interrogate her. This is not always the case though. As men are generally jealous.

5.Maturity
This is one of the major points that almost every girl who supports this cause raised. In their opinion,,older guys are way mature than guys of their age bracket. One girl on Nairaland said and I quote "sometimes they act their age and you are tempted to ask,,How old are you again?"
Lol,,as much as we know that maturity is not by age it could still be true that young guys may act their age sometimes but you cannot blame them as it is a phase of life everyone must pass.

But my question to the ladies is if you date an older guy because he may be mature are you also going to be mature in the relationship? You can't be acting like a kid and expect the other guy to keep tolerating you.

Sports / Most Embarrassing International Defeats In History. by 9jasmart(m): 2:01pm On Apr 01, 2015
Whenever our beloved country get beaten a country we think is less superior we always take it as an abomination and we always start judging and axing. So what will you call thisset of defeats?

1. Brazil 1-7 Germany
2014 World Cup
Fans in tears after just 30 minutes, a once-great country brought to its knees in the most embarrassing style, playing a brand of football alien to the great sides of the 1970s and 1982, and all at their home World Cup. Five-nil down after half an hour, Luiz Felipe Scolari's Brazil suffered the ultimate humiliation in the semi-final, with the poor striker Fred made a scapegoat, subjected to vicious taunts from media and fans alike.
2. USA 1-0 England
1950 World Cup
The embarrassing defeat that embarrassing defeats are traditionally measured by. England were considered, by Englishmen at least, the best in the world (a theory exploded by Hungary in 1953); the USA team included a postman, millworker, a funeral director and were missing players who could not get the time off work to go to Brazil. Joe Gaetjens' goal later, and the England of Stan Mortensen, Billy Wright, Tom Finney, Wilf Mannion and Stanley Matthews were as good as eliminated. The opprobrium was lessened at home by England's cricketers losing a Test to the West Indies for the first time the same day.

3.North Korea 1-0 Italy
1966 World Cup
Ayresome Park may not have the richest football history but it did stage one of the mightiest World Cup upsets when the (unsurprisingly) little known North Korea shocked one of football's powerhouses in Middlesbrough. Pak Do-ik, North Korea's matchwinner, said: "When I scored that goal the people of Middlesbrough took us to their hearts. I learnt that playing football can improve diplomatic relations and promote peace."

4. Cameroon 1-0 Argentina
1990 World Cup
Cameroon arrived in Italy as an unknown quantity, yet departed as everyone's second team – Roger Milla dance, anyone? – at the quarter-final stage. They announced themselves with a bang, François Omam-Biyik's goal upsetting the world champions, a cocksure Diego Maradona et al, in the tournament opener. Argentina regrouped, developing a seige mentality in the face of severe criticism from the country's media, to reach the final.

5. Costa Rica 1-0 Scotland
1990 World Cup
Costa Rica, making their debut in a World Cup, were a million miles from the accomplished side they are today. Scotland were expecting – and they expected – to start their tournament with a win, but slumped to defeat thanks to Juan Arnaldo Cayasso's goal early in the second half and some resolute defending from the Central Americans.

6. England 3-6 Hungary
1953, friendly
The Magical Magyars of Ferenc Puskas, Nandor Hidegkuti, and Sandor Kocsis were Olympic champions and unbeaten in 24 games. But England did not play in the Olympics, so their belief at being the best in the world was unshaken, if untested. Hungary changed all that, with Hidegkuti playing effectively 'in the hole', bemusing England's old-fashioned WM formation from the first minute when he scored. The defeat, and subsequent 7-1 thrashing a year later, forced an overhaul of English football practices which culminated with the 1966 World Cup win.

7. Greece 0-1 Faroe Islands
Nov 2014, qualifying for Euro 2016
Claudio Ranieri's introduction to international management was not pretty, with Greek fans hoping for relief from the country's economic and political troubles having no hope of finding it in a string of three home defeats and a draw. Worst of the lot for the European champions of only 10 years ago was this humiliating defeat by the Faroes, which led to the former Chelsea manager's sacking after only four months.
8. Germany 1-5 England
2001, qualifying for 2002 World Cup
As England's defeat by the USA in 1950 sparked a severe bout of navel-gazing followed by a period of world-domination, Germany's thrashing by Sven Goran Eriksson's England in Munich was the low-point of a slow decline which led to Jurgen Klinsmann's attacking football revolution after taking over in 2004. "When we started the process in 2004 we asked the players, 'What do you think? How would the fans identify with their national team? What is it they want to see? What is it that you want to achieve?'" Klinsmann said.
9. Sri Lanka 0-1 Bhutan (agg 1-3)
2015, qualifying for 2018 World Cup
Sri Lanka, 174th in the world, are no footballing giant, but nobody wants to lose to Fifa's worst nation – twice. Bhutan, the tiny Himalayan nation sandwiched between India and China, were ranked 209th and last in the Fifa rankings yet reached the Asian qualifying group phase after Sri Lanka contrived to lose 1-0 at home in the first leg and, if that were not embarrassing enough, went down 2-1 away to a country who were thrashed 20-0 by Kuwait only 15 years ago.

10. Portugal 0-2 Cape Verde
2015, friendly
Portugal granted its old colony Cape Verde, an archipelago off the west coast of Africa with a population the size of Leicester, the friendly in aide of victims of the volcanic disaster on the island of Fogo, but the charity did not end there. Coach Fernando Santos rested key players including Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese shipped two first-half goals and had a man sent off. Cape Verde, it should be said, were at the time sandwiched between Scotland and Wales in the Fifa rankings at 37.

Phones / Now U Can Have 2 Whatsapp Account On Ur Phone. See How by 9jasmart(m): 7:59am On Feb 28, 2015
I just wrote a post about How To Use 2 BBM Accounts on a Phone, I hope it was really helpful. I will now share with you how you can install 2 whatsapp accounts on a phone. Just like my last post, I am only sure about Android phones for now. If I find out how to use it on other devices I will update you all.

This is also a very simple process that involves you downloading he OGWhatsApp on your Android device. This is a modified app that allows you to use two different whatsapp accounts on your phone using two different phone numbers.

The steps involved in setting this up is a bit different from that of the BBM, Just follow these instructions;
Step 1
Firstly, You need to have 2 SIM cards that are working and are currently available with you so that you can activate the 2 whatsapp accounts on your android phone without any problem. The phone does not need to be a dual SIM phone. The other SIM can be in any other phone its just so that you can receive the verification code.

Step 2
The next step involves backing up all your conversations. This can be achieved by opening your already installed whatsapp and Tap on options and then Settings >> Chat Settings >> Backup Conversions to backup full whatsapp data along with contact details.

Step 3
Clear all your whatsapp data, This is done by going to your phone Settings >> Applications >> Whatsapp >> Clear Data.

Step 4
The next thing is to rename your whatsapp folder. Do this by going to your SD card and rename your whatsapp folder and change it to OGwhatsapp.

Step 5
You can now uninstall the version of Whatsapp you have on your phone and then download the OGwhatsapp. You can download it here. It will ask for your phone number, add your old number and complete the verification process. You will see all your old conversations pop up on the app.

Step 6
The final step is for you to download the normal Whatsapp from the Google Playstore and install it. You should use the second phone number here and verify your account.

Now you are all set up with two Whatsapp accounts. Hope you find this very helpful and you can share it with your friends and family.

9 Scientific Studies That’ll Make You Doubt Everything You Know

Science has uncovered a lot of truths about the World we live in. However, there are some studies that seem to bend logic as we have come to know it.Check out these 9 unknown scientific studies and make sure to leave your thoughts in the comments below!

1. Increase your chance of being nominated for a Noble Peace Prize by eating chocoloate

It is well known by scientists that the flavanols contained in cocoa have been linked to slowing or reversing age related cognitive decline. One scientist, Dr. Franz H. Messerli performed his own study (okay, hypothesis) of Noble Peace Prize winners, and discovered that Switzerland (which has the highest consumption per capita) is in first place.

2. Watching porn can make you a better bodybuilder
A recent scientific study has shown that after watching pornography, male bodybuilders can lift heavier objects due to a noticeable increase in testosterone (tested via saliva samples). Perhaps that’ll provide some interesting perspective next time you’re in the gym and notice someone going hard at it

3. Horses love the taste of bananas over carrots

In a scientific study of 8 horses by Deborah Goodwin, BSc, PhD, it was found that of a choice of 8 flavors that horses prefer, bananas came in 2nd while carrots came in 6th. Oddly, Fenugreek came in first.

4. Relaxing too much may lead you to be getting fatter

Everyone knows that inactivty can lead you to pack on the pounds. However, a new scientific study has revealed that relaxing actually causes preadipocyte cells to turn into fat cells faster. Additionally, the cells produce even more fat after long periods of inactivity.

5. Female porn actresses are actually happier than other women

It has been shown in a study by the Journal of Sex Research, that female pornstars actually exhibit above-average self esteem, higher spiritual contentment and quality of life. This may come as a suprise given the old stereotype of pornstars coming from desperate backgrounds.

6. Going on a diet can actually cause you to become more fat

Many people go on diets and starve themselves of calories, only to find that once they begin to return to a more regular diet, they become fatter than before. Scientific studies have shown that when we diet, our bodies learn to hoard fat and magnify food cravings into an obsessi

7. Herring fart in order to communicate with each other

Scientists curiously discovered that herring fish make a mysterious sound when farting. On further research, they suspect that by hearing the bubbles caused by the flatulence, the fish are able to better form protective shoals at night.

8. Pupil dilation can measure whether you’re gay or not

A new Scientific study has revealed that when someone is aroused, their pupils immediately dilate. The study by Cornell University monitored 165 men and 160 women – including gay, bisexual and straight participants. They were able to make fairly accurate guesses after showing videos of men and women masturbating.

9. Eating egg yolks could be just as bad as smoking

Perhaps at least when it comes to heart disease. This information is based on a Canadian study that used ultrasound to monitor the fatty build-up in the arteries of circa 1,200 adults. Eating egg yolks contributes to the problem, although everything in moderation.

Family / 10 Tips To Be Good House Husband by 9jasmart(m): 7:21pm On Feb 12, 2015
10 tips to be a good house husband

The term “housewife” has been heard of since eons and is prevalent till today. But women have successfully taken over the corporate world and have professional lives too. So today, a housewife is not merely a home-maker but also a career driven professional. Men have always been career centered but with more and more women working, it’s time men also start indulging in household work seriously. The new term doing rounds is “house husband” and if you haven’t heard of it, its time you acquaint yourself with it and start practicing it. It takes two salaries to lead an exotic lifestyle these days, and similarly requires the effort of both the partners to take care of their home as well.

Moreover, if you become a good house-husband, you will not only be a hit with your wife and kids but also you’ll earn appreciation from her friend circle and family.

1. Happy Meals
Nothing can be more helpful to a working woman, than to come to an occasional home-made meal by her husband. If you know that she has a hectic Thursday every week, make sure to prepare a dinner for her and the family at least every Thursday. Sometimes, bringing a take out for the entire family and taking them out for dining can also help.

2. Party planner
If you both are throwing a house-party, it is essential that you help with planning the party and help get the food, set up decorations and serve wine and snacks to the guests.

3. Baby-sitting
If you both have a baby, it is expected of you that you help change the diapers or help putting the baby to sleep sometimes. Getting toys for the baby and baby-sitting while she is busy can be of great help for her.

4. Grocery Shopping
If you aren’t big on shopping, you can assist her in grocery or household shopping. Remember that it is not just her work to make sure the home looks beautiful and is never in dearth of food supplies.
Romance / 21 Waysto Start A Conversation With A Guy by 9jasmart(m): 7:08pm On Feb 12, 2015
21 ways to start a conversation with the guy you like

You like a guy at your work or at your gym or in your neighborhood, but you don’t have the slightest idea of how you should go about it or how you must give him hints that you want to start talking to him.  It can be quite tricky to start a conversation with somebody you like, especially for girls, because they are too afraid to be taken in a wrong way.

Let’s see a few ways how you can start a conversation with the guy you like!

Smile at him
Nothing works better than an adorable smile from a pretty girl for a guy. You might not even have to start the conversation; the guy himself might approach you!

Ask for help with something
Guys love to become the knight in shining armor for damsels in distress. Ask for help with a computer application or with your car. It could be something related to your phone as well.

Borrow something
Borrow something like an umbrella or a handkerchief from them. You can also ask him to lend. This will help you start a conversation with the guy you like.

Ask a doubt or query
If you are new at a workplace, and you like your co-worker, you can just ask about how the biometric system works. It can be related to home loans or business loans. Guys are usually good with finance related things.

Enquire about somebody
You can ask about the local hardware dealer or when does his shop open. You can enquire about the HR of your company or even about your new professor if you have missed one of their classes.

Also read: 6 Non verbal signs of love
Praise him
If he has a cool wrist watch or a great bike, praising him would overwhelm him! Praising or complimenting him on his sense of style, accessories and machines will make him instantly drawn to you.

Weather talks
This might be a cliché. But if you are stuck in a snow storm or heavy rains, you can definitely use the weather to your advantage by talking about it.

Ask for a change
If you are in the queue to buy something or at a cafeteria, asking him for a change can be a cool way to start a conversation. If you don’t have the necessary change, you can buy coffee for him too!

Run into him purposely
What better than bumping into him with a pile of books or files in your hand? Run into him purposely and begin with a “Sorry” and then take it from there.

Bt we have to d dt base on integrity of who we r abt to unveil. So who is really worth your vote?
Politics / The Masked And The Unveiled. by 9jasmart(m): 7:33pm On Jan 13, 2015
Is there anything much of a dilemma in choosing between the masked and the unveiled? You know, just kinda funny when "the yet unknown" walks up to you and tells you  he's better than the one you know and thinks he is bad or not good enough for you. Do you think   the masked is more dangerous than the unveiled ? I Always tell my friends to run away from any guy that comes and the first thing  to tell you is that he's better than your current guy. The questions are: how does he no that? What does he no about him? Why does he think you are not ok with  what and who he is?.

Not to be off track; now d election is here wit masked and unveiled candidates for us to choose from. Some will be elected while some 'd  already been selected and are about to be imposed on us as usual. They are all coming to us telling us they are d best. That they are our long awaited MOSES and HARONS. Maybe we are about to stumble over same old stones which as been proverbial disgrace OR we are about to get things done the right way this time around. The main fact remains that here we are again to make another decisions that will shape our future as a nation and as individuals; keeping in mind that we are contributing our quota in the creation of the word our generations will live in. Are they going to be proud we were here before them or otherwise? Only a matter of time.

Who should be blamed for all the sh**t we are in now? No one but us. We cry of corruptions, injustices, bad economy and many more from our government bad leadership. But who get them there. Most of us know who and what they are and still celebrate them like heroes. Is it because of their affluence or we always forget so soon who and what they were? Now here they are again and what will the story be after we have made these unchangeable decisions. Their motives and missions is easily measured by the ways they seek for power and how they get their. If truly they are here to lead and serve,  why do they make it a do or die affair at all costs?
What do we really expect when we sell our integrities, our our only voice, the only power to effect a positive change? They spend money gotten from God knows where during their electioneering campagnes and you expect them not to get the money back when they are there. Offcourse they will and they do; even in folds. Because they pay the dues we asked in exchange.

Here we are again, on the verge of another four years journey. At the end. Are we going to seek back and say "oh thank God we get it right this time" or will it still be same old story over again? The choice remains ours to be made here and now. #vote-right Smiles4smart 2BBB2F81
