TemporaryHansel:The reason is simple: The whites have higher levels of collective intelligence generally than the blacks. That's a fact, and there's nothing racist about it. Your observation is just one of the many pieces of solid evidence backing this assertion. Whites have intelligent people and thinkers in higher numbers than blacks in the modern world. A couple of months ago, I was studying the history of the whites, especially in Physics and Mathematics, and read the histories of Western thinkers, such as William Clifford (the brain behind Clifford Algebra), Abel (abelian math), Knuth (the brain behind LaTeX), Einstein, and many others. How many of such people have Africans produced in modern times? Small. Even Africans won't allow such people to develop and excel unless they find a way to leave the continent. At a deep level, something is seriously wrong with the African people, especially those ones that have been infected with cancers called "holy books" from Arabia and Israel, which make them despise and demonize their native cultures and traditions. 1 Like 1 Share |

I love what this Igbo guy is doing reviving the Nsibidi writing system in his project called the Modern Nsibidi Project. Yesterday, I learnt about the Nsibidi keyboard he developed, which can be downloaded online: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2ASYdxiKOM Even though I don't know him personally, I admire his great intelligence, creativity, and courage embarking on such a laudable project, which he personally funds. I'm almost certainly sure Yorubas also had their own indigenous writing system, as claimed by Otem some years ago. If I was in the field of Linguistics or delved into it in the future, I could develop a native writing system for the Yorubas, with characters based on the Odu Ifa literary corpus, and not the Latin characters currently in use in Yoruba language. It's not good for a people to rely on everything made by foreign peoples and not to come up with their own native (home-grown) systems. |

Roland17:The human brain is really wondrous, and there is still a lot about it that brain scientists and other experts don't know as of now. The human brain is such a complex organ; all aspects of reality (Mother Nature) we perceive as real and solid are all products of imagination by the brain. Our technologies, cars, arts, movies, music, everything else are all pictures generated by the brain as these things don't really exist the way we perceive them to be. They're simply consciousness and energy. Even the Universe as a whole don't actually exist the way we think. It's just an idea in the head. It's the brain playing games on us because the majority can't see beyond the matrix — the three spatial dimensions and one temporal dimension (4D). |

Roland17:Thanks for sharing this, bro. This an interesting research area, which I'm currently doing research work on as one of the applications of Consciousness Science. I believe breakthroughs will be achieved in the field of xenotransplantation in the coming years when scientists find a way to link different fields of Medicine together with other fields and disciplines. There's a way to do this using Consciousness Science as a tool inspired by the Odu Ifa literary corpus, and we're building the application for that currently. We're close to completing the first phase. Medicine (including xenotransplantation, genetics, and the likes) also falls under Consciousness Science in my approaches. |

Arsenal might just shock many people and carry the EPL this season. Two more games to go for them. Obviously, the title race will be a closely fought one between Arsenal and Manchester City. 1 Like |

Clifford Pickover's 'A Passion for Mathematics' is such a fascinating book. Along with 'The Princeton Companion to Mathematics', this Pickover's book is one of the best books of Math I've read. Reading all these books, one can only but admire the infinite potential of the human mind in the mathematical arena. This realm is noted for characters, such as numbers like natural numbers, real numbers, hyperreal and surreal numbers, complex numbers, hypercomplex numbers, and even much more advanced ones, such as Grassmannian numbers, Clifford numbers, and others. These Clifford Pickover's books are worth checking out: 1. A Passion for Mathematics 2. Archimedes to Hawking: Laws of Science and the Great Minds Behind Them 3. The Math Book: From Pythagoras to the 57th Dimension, 250 Milestones in the History of Mathematics 4. The Physics Book: From the Big Bang to Quantum Resurrection. 5. The Medical Book: From Witch Doctors to Robot Surgeons. 6. The Mathematics Devotional: Celebrating the Wisdom and Beauty of Mathematics 7. The Physics Devotional: Celebrating the Wisdom and Beauty of Physics 8. Death and the Afterlife: A Chronological Journey, from Cremation to Quantum Resurrection 9. The Science Book: From Darwin to Dark Energy 10. Artificial Intelligence: An Illustrated History, From Medieval Robots to Neural Networks Almost all of them are available for free online. WhoDeyHause:These were my thoughts too. I can't believe a so-called professional coach can be that dull. One kind mago mago seems to be happening in Chelsea games this season under Poch. Sometimes, it's like he deliberately sets up the team or makes changes during games for the team to lose or draw. 1 Like 1 Share |

ToyinDipo:The image below is from the Google Books description of the author, Donald Knuth. I'm not an expert in functional programming. However, a brief glance at some concepts in Mathematics is enough for me to know how they can be applied in computer programming. So, if you know the history of the development of programming languages, such as Julia, Wolfram Language, and the likes, you'd quickly understand the key role that number theory and many other concepts in Mathematics play in the development of algorithms (functions) in a programming language.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by A001: 1:33pm On Apr 22 |
ToyinDipo:Do your research. Donald Knuth, the inventor of the concept, is a renowned computer scientist. That's enough to show the application of the concept in that field. Surreal numbers are a concept under number theory, which is essential in the development of programming languages and computing generally. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by A001: 1:26pm On Apr 22 |
ToyinDipo:Why don't you do a bit of research on what you're discussing instead of arguing ignorantly? Donald Knuth wrote the book on surreal numbers (a term he coined) as far back as 1974, and he's just realising the usefulness of surreal numbers in 2024? Your comment sef dey make me laugh |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by A001: 11:05am On Apr 22 |
ToyinDipo:Lols, what point? Those number systems I discussed have practical importance in science and technology, especially Computer Science (programming, functional programming). It's people doing elementary Physics in secondary schools and some research areas in Physics that the numbers have no practical use for. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by A001: 10:17pm On Apr 21 |
ToyinDipo:Yes, they're considered zero in the practical sense. This is due to the fact that such infinitesimal (extremely small) numbers don't have a physical kind of existence to us, humans, because of our narrow scope of perception. But apart from the physical kind of existence, there are other forms of existence, such as the mental type. So, surreal numbers (and others like hyperreal and superreal numbers) have a mental kind of existence, living in the brains (minds) of their inventors and those studying them. While laypeople may not appreciate these numbers, they actually hold deep significance with regard to the underlying structures (fundamental structures) of the matrix we, humans, perceive as reality. As I said before, people that know a lot of numbers (especially highly complex numbers like hyperreal, surreal numbers, and the likes) know a lot of mysteries about nature (the Universe). So, it's good to study numbers. |

ToyinDipo:Impractical in what sense? And which idea are you referring to specifically? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by A001: 6:56pm On Apr 21 |
This is a beautiful story on how mathematicians invent numbers and other concepts in Mathematics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPn2AdMH7UQ?si=DwH4C_A3_IepNcQH This video delves into how Donald Knuth, a professor emeritus of Mathematics and Computer Science, came about the concept of surreal numbers building on the foundational work done by another renowned mathematician, John Horton Conway, on the subject. The surreal number system is so fascinating. This is a case study of how these numbers come to their authors and inventors in states such as wakeful states, dreams, meditations, and others, showing the existence of other dimensions apart from the physical dimensions.

Lols Perhaps they believe the drowning was an act of the gods. Lols. Look at all the time wasted and no one even thought he needed a CPR? Such a pitiful situation for his wife and kids. Government and bodies such as NGOs, citizens need to educate and orientate Nigerians about the importance of learning CPR and other medical techniques that are vital in case of emergencies like this. Jesus Christ or God no dey save anyone. Even Yeshua couldn't save himself from being crucified in the past era. No wonder Nigeria has one of the lowest life expectancies in the world. People can't be this dumb and ignorant, and their ignorance won't shorten their life.
