Romance / Who Cry More When Relationship Breaks? by aauflash(m): 8:33am On Sep 21, 2017
It’s a norms for the both partner to cry anytime the feelings they shared is about to go / gone haywire.
But in Nigeria, we all belive out ability not to cry shows we strong and we are the baddest, but despite that we still can’t control the flow of some tears if it’s a true love.
In my own opinion, Girls cry more, guys don’t, all they say is “Fvck you, shiit do happens”
So let’s hear your own view too!!

Politics / Ambrose Folorunsho Alli A Legend Of Bendel State by aauflash(m): 1:29am On Sep 18, 2017
Do you remember this Legend of Bendel? He is Professor Ambrose Folorunsho Alli, the Ezomo of Ekpoma. He was Governor of Bendel state (now Edo and Delta states) from October 1979 - October 1983. He was arrested and brutalized by Buhari's illegal military government and then sentenced for forever in prison for developing Bendel State and that HE DECIDED TO PUSH FOR RESOURCE CONTROL and creation of additional LGAs for Edo and Delta States at the time when it was forbidden to talk about the subject. Till date he is still officially a felon with successive governments looking the other way round when it comes to matters of Alli who founded AAU, Delsu, Ekiadolor, and about 200 institutions across Edo and Delta States.

Next month, September 22, it would be 25 Years of his death and on that same day, Ambrose Alli would have been 85 years old. He died on his birthday at 60 years old.

I raise this Post in Tribute to Alli and to urge Edo and Delta States Government to do something to honour the memory of this man who gave his life for the love of his people. And on that day, I urge the Edo State and Delta State govenments to ensure that the cloak of FELON shall be removed from the head of this man who is one of the best governors that have governed Nigeria.

Show your Solidarity to this Legend by LIKING & SHARING this post in both Edo and Delta States forums until it gets the desired attention of the governments and the people of these states and they do something.

It is well!

Education / ASUU Strike:ASUU To Meet Today(See Details) by aauflash(m): 12:20am On Sep 18, 2017
The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, said it is looking forward to a fruitful deliberation with the federal government on Monday, September 18, in an attempt to end the ongoing strike embarked upon by university lecturers.
The union’s National President, Biodun Ogunyemi said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Lagos.
NAN reports that lecturers in the nation’s universities had on August 13 embarked on what they described as comprehensive, total and indefinite strike.
S
The lecturers are protesting the non-implementation of 2013 Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, as well as the 2009 agreement they entered into with the federal government.
“We are going into another round of meeting with representatives of the federal government tomorrow, Sept. 18.
“We are still on strike. However, we are hoping that we will sort out all the grey areas and hope, too, that the federal government will show sincerity and commitment on their own part.
“We have done our own part and we expect them too to do their own with all sincerity.
“Should both sides settle whatever issues that have been brought before the house, we will consider putting the crisis behind us and move forward.
“So, we are indeed looking forward to a fruitful deliberation tomorrow in order to move forward, for the benefit of all the stakeholders and the nation at large,” the unionist told NAN.

Education / Nans President:we Are Ready To Shut Down Federal Roads by aauflash(m): 9:13am On Sep 16, 2017
APPARENTLY bothered by the industrial action rocking the education sector, leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, has vowed to shut down all major federal express roads next week if no resumption date is fixed. The students union came up with the decision after an emergency meeting held in the Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin. NANS laments unions strike: They decried that the Federal Government allowed the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions, NASU, Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU, and National Association of Academic Technologists, NAAT, to ground academic and non academic activities in Nigerian institutions. Communicating the outcome of their meeting with Vanguard, NANS Senate President, Comrade Taiwo Bamigbade said, “The Senate meeting was well attended by the Student Union Presidents from various tertiary institutions across the six geo political zones of the federation, NANS National Executive Council members, stakeholders and concerned Nigerian students. NANS Senate condemns in totality the lack of sincerity of the Federal Government to the 2009 agreement it entered with all the academic staff unions.” NANS President, Chinonso Obasi According to him, the inactiveness of the Federal Ministry of Education to engage the staff unions in a meaningful negotiation to avert the ongoing nationwide strike by ASUU, NASU, SSANU and NAAT calls for concern. Integrity and standard of education He implored the unions to look beyond the strike action and possibly seek justice from the court, as their only negotiation tools to press home their legitimate demands from the Federal Government to save the integrity and standard of education in Nigeria. He said: “NANS is calling on the Federal Government to expedite action to bring back the striking lecturers/staff to work or consider total shut down of all major federal express roads by Nigerian students if no resumption date is fixed in the next one week.” Urges FG to probe governors over Paris Club Refund The students union, at the same meeting, also called for the probe of state governors who collected the Paris Club refund but refused to pay their workers salaries. Bamigbade said: “NANS is calling for an immediate probe of all state governments Paris Club refund utilisation, as the purpose to which the fund was disbursed as announced by President Muhammadu Buhari was jettisoned by many states, leaving many state civil servants and pensioners salary arrears unclear.” NANS urges FG to take over LAUTECH In its communiqué, NANS called on the Federal Executive Council, National Assembly and the two states involved in the ownership of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, to act as a matter of urgency and to speed up the processes required to acquire Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, Oyo State by the Federal Government to save the careers of thousands of Nigerian students in the university. He added that NANS also frowned at the proposed school fees for the university by the state government. Permanent resolution of crisis Similarly, the union called on the Federal Ministry of Education to mandate all heads of institutions to key in to T-Ship programme of National Health Insurance Scheme, NHIS, to guarantee affordable and timely health care service for Nigerian students. Just as it also called on Health Maintainace Organizations, HMOs, to be more prudent in their dealings with Nigerian tertiary institutions and the student populace. While NANS commended Kaduna State Government for the reopening of tertiary institutions in southern Kaduna, it sues for the return of peace and order in the state and for more government attention on education. It added, “The Senate congratulated the newly appointed Ondo State Executive Council Members (Commissioners) while calling on the Commissioner of Education to prioritise the permanent resolution of crisis in all state owned institutions, particularly Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, Ondo State. Union passes vote of confidence on its president Meantime, the NANS Senate has passed vote of confidence on her national president, Comrade Chinonso Obasi, GCNS, for his tireless efforts to reposition NANS better as well as his giant strides to have re-invigorated NANS back to the Committee of Continental Students Union Bodies under All Africa Students Union, AASU, with his adequate representation in just concluded AASU Summit in Ghana, where he won an award as the most outstanding student leader in Africa. The statement said,”The Senate, as a matter of urgency, implore Federal Ministry of Health and Niger State Government to come to the aid of its former NANS president Comrade Mohammed Dauda Kapon, who needs a Liver Transplant in India Hospital.”

Music/Radio / SIMI-Nigeria Men Are Not Romantic by aauflash(m): 8:26am On Sep 16, 2017
As much as she has been rumoured to have had one or two things with singers , Adekunle Gold and Falz at some point, popular singer , Simi , has said Nigerian men “are not romantic. ”
She said , “ I don ’ t believe Nigerian men are romantic. I think Nigerian men do not think they have to be romantic . I am not saying this to bash men but I think no one pushes Nigerian men to fight for anything so they have this sense of entitlement . I was watching a Nigerian movie one day and there was this unfaithful Nigerian man who left his wife for another woman. At the end of the day , the other woman left him and he retraced his steps to his initial wife . The lady ’ s mother actually told her to kneel in front of the man and that bothered me a lot even though I knew it was a movie . That is the way things are .
“ A lot of men grow up in this country feeling entitled to certain things and they believe that they don ’t have to work for anything . This has been the case for generations and a lot of our mothers were unhappy because the society expected them to stay in the relationship . I am not saying it is the right thing for people to leave their relationships but a man needs to fight for what he wants so he can value it . I think the problem is because a lot of Nigerian men feel self - entitled and I blame our culture and our mothers . Most mothers are the problem because when something happens, they are quick to advise the daughter and wives , they don ’ t tell the men that their actions are wrong . So if a man feels that he does not have to fight to keep the relationship , he would not . ”
The singer who hinted that she is currently in a relationship described the kind of lover she is . “To describe myself as a lover , I would say that I am a loyal lover . When I am in a relationship , I am all in and I put everything into it . I can only quit a relationship if the person betrays my trust because , to me, trust is everything. Trust is a big foundation for love . If I don ’ t trust a person , it would be hard to be with the person . If I date someone , I expect that you know what you have to offer . I believe that whatever I do for the person , I should get the same in return . I don ’t like people lying to me, ” the singer said.
The singer is currently in cloud nine because of the feedback she has been receiving over her sophomore album , ‘ Simisola. ’ It was a night of ecstasy for the soulful singer at her album launch party which took place at The Lekki Coliseum .
It is her sophomore album and her debut album since joining her record label X 3 M Music three years ago . Before now, she had released a plethora of singles such as ‘ Tiff , ’ ‘ Jamb Question, ’ ‘ Outta My Head , ’ which were well received and enjoyed massive airplay .

Education / ASUU Strike Update: No End Sighted by aauflash(m): 8:09am On Sep 16, 2017
Hope that the strike action embarked upon by Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, is about to come to an end appears dashed as congresses of universities met across the country to deliberate on the recent agreements reached between the leadership of the union and the Federal Government.
Feelers from the congresses that have met indicate that the unions were not ready to call of the strike because the government is yet to show the necessary commitment to their plights. For instance, in congresses held yesterday at the University of Ibadan, UI, and Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, EKSU, members of the union decided to continue with the strike action on the ground that the Federal Government’s offers are not acceptable to them.
According to reliable sources, the staff are not comfortable with the fact that only about one of the seven demands, which is the issue of staff schools of the universities was convincingly addressed by the government. Government only made promises as regards the other demands which do not show any difference from what was on ground before the strike.
As at the time of filing this report, UI was devoid of activities as all unions on campus both academic and non academic have embarked on indefinite strike.
A lecturer from EKSU said, “We have agreed that the strike must continue until the Federal Government is ready to grant our demands in practical way not in promissory act”.
In one of the interaction with the media after the last meeting the union had with the government, ASUU President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi said that he could not determine when the union would call off its strike adding that calling off the strike would be determined by the entire members of the union.
However, the effects of the strike has began to manifest as some students who have secured employments have decided to abandon their academic programmes.
A Master’s Degree student of UI who did not want his name mentioned said, “I have been looking for a job for a while now. Because I don’t want to be sitting at home, I obtained a postgraduate form and I was admitted. We were about to start our exam when the strike action began. Now I have a job. I can’t trade the job with the Master’s prpogramme. If I decide to leave the job and go back to school when the strike action is over, what gives me the impression that I will get a job as soon as I am through with the Master’s programme? I will do the Master’s programme when it is more convenient”.
Another student said, “I am considering private university, maybe BABCOCK or Lead City University. Government universities in Nigeria are becoming a problem and time waster. Unfortunately, we don’t have responsible government who will be ready to do what the unions are asking for. First, people in government will chose to embezzle people’s money or mismanage it rather than using it for public good. Since Nigeria has been in recession, have you heard political office holders reducing their salaries and allowances? Go to the National Assembly, and see the exotic cars they are buying. Their salaries are been paid as at when due. Under the nose of President Muhammadu Buhari, those in the executive are also stealing. How many thieves will Buhari catch? Except the system is working, nothing good can come from Nigeria”.
To some female students, the strike action is a blessing to them as some pregnant female students delivered babies. One of them said, “I thank God because I don’t know how I would have coped. I gave birth within two weeks the strike action commenced. That means that I would have given birth to my child while my first semester examination is on-going. This means that I might have not been able to write all my papers. So you can see now that it is a blessing for me. If the strike action is called off now, at least I can sit for my exam and graduate when my mates are graduating”

Crime / Shocker:this Guy In Canada Sold An Iphone With Rice Inside by aauflash(m): 9:12pm On Aug 23, 2017
Ghanaian-Canadian man has been arrested for allegedly defrauding two clients by selling packaged rice to them as an iPhone.
Do you know, or have you heard of anyone who went to Computer Village to buy phone, but after paying, found Fufu inside?
YEN reports that one Ghanaian in Canada,
Andrew Boateng Gyimah, was arrested for exporting this tactic to Toronto, Canada. By the time he was arrested, he already had two victims who had reported to the police.
So lets us re-enact what the Canadian authorities said about Andrew our guy. He met up with one of his victims who saw his advert online.
When the person paid for the phone, Andrew was like,
But when the victim opened the box, what was inside was just rice. No iPhone 6.
And when he looked up, Andrew was already gone like,
Someone else had earlier forwarded this to report that he had fallen victim to the same trick by Andrew Gyimah.
Andrew is now facing two counts charge of fraud under $5,000, two counts charge of false pretence under $5,000, and two counts charge of breaching a court order.
But we have another theory.
Is there something the Police in Canada isn't telling us? Like, could it just be that Andrew didn't just try to rob someone with just any rice? Could it be that he tried to rob with Ghanaian Jollof Rice? Maybe what made the victim who really really got angry was that when he tasted the rice, it was trash.
Because you know if it's Nigerian Jollof rice, the victim will at least finish it. Just saying.
Moral of the Story: Don't rob, but if the devil decides to use you, let your weapon be seductive Nigerian Jollof.

Arsene Wenger says he expects Olivier Giroud to stay at Arsenal this season despite speculation over how he will fit in following the record signing of fellow French striker Alexandre Lacazette.
Giroud, the reported off-season target of Premier League rivals Everton and Germany’s Borussia Dortmund, was among the goalscorers in the Gunners’ 3-1 pre-season win over Western Sydney Wanderers in Sydney on Saturday.
The 30-year-old, who was restricted to just 17 starting games for Arsenal last season, made a deft first-time finish at the near post after a strong overlapping run from Nacho Monreal for the opener in the 33rd minute.
Wenger, who is also trying to hold on to prized striker Alexis Sanchez next season amid interest from Manchester City and Bayern Munich, said he wanted Giroud to stay at Arsenal.
“There is a lot of speculation, I have said many times that I have a huge respect for Olivier Giroud for the man he is and the way he loves our club,” Wenger told reporters after Saturday’s game.
“Even with all the speculation he is focused and does his job.
“I always said (that I expect him to stay), I was always consistent with that.”
Asked how he would use Giroud in the wake of signing Lacazette, Wenger added: “Lacazette will play most of the time as centre forward..... www.aauflash.info/2017/07/arsene-giroud-leaving.html
