As the Reverend Father was preaching the Parable of The Good Samaritan, my mind kept going to Madam Chaircover and the kindness shown by her towards me and Cannonnaire. But something caught my attention, when Master Jesus finished telling the parable He admonished the Lawyer to follow in th foot step of the Good Samaritan.
I pray that the Good Lord will give me the means and more espcially the desire to give a helping hand to those am better off in life. Amen.

25
And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
26
He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?”
27
So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’”
28
And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.”
29
But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30
Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
31
Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32
Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side.
33
But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion.
34
So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
35
On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’
36
So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?”
37
And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”

Whether this news is true or not, I hope Amaechi doesn't lose his life in this crisis. Because if that happens, Nigerians and the outside world will point fingers at GEJ (whether he is responsible or not).

Funny enough, mum and dad were donors when they were young.
Health / Re: Have You Ever Donated Or Received Blood? by Abali1(m): 2:51pm On Jul 09, 2013
This is a sensitive topic for us who live with sickle cell disease. Most times people don't really know that the blood donated by others is what saves our life during severe crisis.
I wanted to do a topic like this before, but I was sceptical of what people will say...
PLEASE IF YOU CAN, DONATE BLOOD TODAY BECAUSE YOU MAY BE SAVING LIVES.

I am not collecting anything from cannonnier, so it will be unfair to collect anything from you. My heart desire is that the hearing aid will be useful to both of you.

I will place the order when i get back home today. I cant remember my amazon password off head or I would have done it now. I will ask for the next day delivery. Hopefully it will arrive in time to still go with cannonniers one. If not then it will be August.

I pray for Gods healing on you both and anyone else suffering from this condiiton. It is well.
Madam Chaircover!!! I am shocked and in lost of what to say.
I have read and re-read your kind gesture, and have been asking how did I merit this Favour.
May the Good Lord whom I serve, reward you beyond all expctations.
I don't know how to thank you. But my God will Continue to Bless you. Amen.

You people have turned me into a amazon executive lol. If I order it today I am not sure that it will arrive in time. I can risk it if you dont mind, however the next person that I know that is coming to Naija is in August. Can you wait that long?
I have been without it for almost 10months, I don't think one more month will hurt.
I will wait. Also let me know how how to get the money across to you, since you are in the UK..
Thanks, I appreciate.

I just wanted to assist cannonnier to buy it on amazon and send it through the person who was coming to Nigeria on Tuesday. I guess its too late now because it wont be delivered in time.
I understand, I was thinking maybe you could buy two and I will repay even if its with a slight interest. You said its late?
Incase such opportunity comes again I wouldn't mind benefiting from it. Cheers.

maclatunji:

Is this your own 'Islam'? How does being hit by a pork laced bullet prevent a terrorist from having the mindset to do what they do?

Ignorance is a disease.
If I were to be a law enforcement officer, my first post on this thread will go a long way in curbing terrorism.
I will simply capture suspected Boko Harams or even anyone who reemotely looks like one, I will force feed him with pork meat and let him go his way to tell the story.
If it is ignorance, you guys should stop fretting and dragging this issue. Because say what you want, the Americans are going to employ this tactic.
Lets watch and see the result.
Islam for Muslims / Re: American Company Sells Pork-laced Bullets To Fight Islamic Terrorists by Abali1(m): 8:16am On Jun 28, 2013
shollaire: @Macl. Marketing strategy or not, pls can you proffer a better idea to stop these terrorists? If no, then l ll advice we try out the available option. Or is it that you feel the idea ll work hence your desperate attempt to dismiss the idea? Common bros, you have nothing to lose except of course you're one of the terrorist!
I wonder why every muslim here is fretting. If it is marketing gimmick and will not achieve anything why not just watch the Americans make a fool of themselves.
But, methinks that this is not just a marketing gimmick, the muslims here know that their iliterate and ignorant brothers fighting in the name of Allah will seriously give it a secoond thought if they know they will be tainted with pork and it may deny the Ajanna.
It is a hard sell for anybody to sell to an uneducated Jihadist.

If they fear Pig (pork meat) so much why not just rain pork meat from a plane into their camps.
I once had about 'operation bunker' during the first Iraqi war (around 92 or 93). The operation was simply to drop leaflet of pornogr, aphy into muslim camps. Since those muslims have not been with their wives for sometime, those leaflets just affected their attention span towards the war effort.
