Oga stop speaking grammar, if bringing it down to 200 will make Nigerians suffer so be it.. under Buhari, suffering was never like this and you are here talking bullsh*t

Na why your generation will continue to lament.....You prefer the government to deceive you with deflation and artificial economy rather than the economy to function freely. A country that produces SHIN SHIN and relies majorly on OIL exportation and heavy consumption through importation wants the Naira to be STRONG.......NO BE JUJU BE THAT?

The real b*llshit is people like you not understanding basic economics......Anyways enjoy your ignorance!

He can even bring it down to 200 Naira, na your old age or born and unborn children go suffer am......The magic/artificial deflation that Buhari performed for 8 years is what led to the drastic measures we see now. Hope say you don dey practice Chinese.....谢谢

Trash!, Nigerian Men should Man up and be an Alpha Male as well. You can't be Chased out of the House unless there is Violence or Assault and Police is involved.

DEY PLAY! A mere allegation of verbal abuse or you raising your voice is enough to kick you out.....There are two parts to this, the initial police escorting the man out and telling him to stay away for some time and then the final nail on the coffin, the court finalizing the diivorce and awarding the house to the woman if she has kids.

Any responsible man abroad should prepare for this, love or no love always stay one or two steps ahead of the system designed to kpai you mentally and physically!

Story shows two important things:

1. Your evidence needs more evidence, imagine if it was a country with zero accountability, my nigga woods for still dey inside jail grin grin

2. Never lose touch with family......Imagine your parents, siblings, friends not caring about your whereabouts for years, some of these whites prefer the lonely life, that's why when they die it can be weeks or months before anyone realize they've rotted away.

Are you aware Nigeria is supplying Neighboring countries with 24hrs supply electricity? How come they still pay lesser??

Can you name those countries and how much they are paying? I'm not talking about their citizens but their governemnt. For example Ghana's payment for electricity is not only cash, it comes with certain trade elements as well including subsidy from their government.
Politics / Re: Are You Willing To Pay N178,000 Monthly For A 24-hour Electricity Supply? by abbey621(m): 12:12am On Apr 04
Whether you're in America or Nigeria, power generation no be beans! It has nothing to do with wages or what you earn. The cost to generate electricity will always dictate what you pay. For example, electricity is way cheaper in Alabama than California because California suffers from excessive drought and over population.

It does not matter if people in the USA are spending less than $200 per month on 24/7 electricity, if the cost to generate same electricity is much higher in Nigeria then Nigerians will naturally pay more.

So rather than dream of impossibilities such as 1 million minimum wage, the discussion should be how can we make electricity generation cheaper in Nigeria.

Marriage is not the purpose of anyone on earth. So pls don't over hype it.

Marrying too early or late is RELATIVE. I have met 23 years old MEN and I have met 44 years old boys. It is mindset and lifestyle choices o.

BUT

You see MONEY......... there are doors it opens that marriage will not open. It will open your mind to dream in HD and achieve the dream that are mere wishes for poor men.

BITTER TRUTH
Anyone who is in their 30s or 40s and still STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY is either lazy orr without a mentor orrr ignorant of many key foundational laws for financial freedom orrrr spiritually under a curze.

EXCUSES are for the weak, lazy and ignorant.

So, If it is by AGE, then NED and other world billionaires WOULD NOT HAVE MARRIED SEVERAL DREAM WIVES.

MONEY CAN REVERSE AGING.

See bro, before coming here to drop impractical posts..... MAKE MONEY, MAKE MAD MONEY FIRST................. then think about your stand on issues again, and you will know that POVERTY IS A MINDSET.

WHEN MONEY SPEAKS NO ONE CHECKS THE GRAMMAR

Y'all internet ninjas are funny, many men in their 30s and 40s went bankrupt from one unfortunate circumstance or another! Just one health issue can cost you your entire life savings including loss of job, a complex surgery could set you back 50 million or worse. A criminal lawsuit could also set you back tens of millions.

God forbid you or someone you love ever run into kidnappers, my guy your account go empty faster than the way Tinubu brought upon renewed shege......Poverty is not only a mindset, it can be brought upon by a series of UNFORTUNATE EVENTS!

Guy may I ask what's the total of your bank account, you get 100 million in liquid cash? If you don't then with one unfortunate event, you can fall into the category of the lazy or cursed individuals you mentioned above.....JI MA SUN!

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Third Class Graduates: How Do You Feel When Denied A Job Due To Class Of Degree by abbey621(m): 10:13pm On Mar 23
shortgun:
You guys can say all you want to make you feel good but the truth remains that there's no reason a student should come out of the university with a third class degree if not for unseriousness. angry

I can think of 3 great reasons:

1. Terrible lecturers combined with overpopulation of students( Some girls are targeted by a specific lecturer, one or two carryovers and you're guaranteed never to graduate with a 2.1)
2. Health crisis (Sicke cell, chronic immuno disease etc.)
3. Extreme poverty requiring hustling just to be able to afford school fees(Orphans, those without parental care)

All in all, third class or whatever is still better than no degree and if an employer does not see that then the graduate must rise above the limitation by being creative. The situation in 9ja now, many people will become self employed, there's no difference between a first class graduate with NO JOB and a third class graudate with NO JOB, in fact the third class graduate will be less pressured!

You know, when I was a school teacher, I always go home during the first day of my menstral flow or not come to school at all on that first day.
The rest of the teachers thought I was overreacting, only my friend understood that most times it feels like I'm dying.

As soon as I got married, menstral cramps (pain) stopped.
Regular sex deminishes menstral cramps.
Any married woman complaining of menstral cramps hasn't had sex in a while.

Another option that can lessen menstral cramps is having a sex partner.

Scientifically proven.

You just wrote rubbish, there's no factual scientific claim that backs this up! Majority of menstrual cramps are caused by bad diet which caused inflammation of the uterus, I don't see how increasing sex frequency cures this......STOP THE LAMBA!

216 back then is the same as 600 now(Inflation adjusted), so the fair price is 600 so technically Buhari did well. Oga Tinubu JI MA SUN!

I am not concluding, but I believe the army should give us a better reason for an army maj. Gen. to be in a community to rescue a kidnapped victim.

Simple and short.

Again you're not privileged to any classified info., this is not a debate, it is how things are done! Even in the USA when military personnel were killed in an African country, the U.S citizens were not privileged to the details just that they were attacked on peace keeping mission. Don't know why you think you deserve access to this information, it's comical grin

this is a dumb response.

Army is not a revenue generating body, they live on tax payers. If you say army does not answer to Nigerians then you need to upgrade your reasoning standard "lil bro". because what you just wrote means Army is not accountable to Nigerians and I believe it's coming from shear ignorance.

Even the president is accountable to Nigerians how much a soldier.

I'm saying whatever mission they were on is classified and the public does not have the right to classified information until it is declassified.....This is not up for argument and it is ignorant to think otherwise! Face it, many topics are beyond your need to know and the sooner you accept this reality, the better!

is it how army settle land disputes in the North? They should come clean and tell us what happened, Why they went there, those soldiers that went there are they from their? Or they went there to oppress innocent civilians? We need to know.

These and many more questions that should be answered by the army.

Army does not answer to you, neither are you privileged to classified information. National security is not a topic everyone can comment on, so when you say WE......No lil hommie, we don't need to know sh*t!

Business / Re: FOREX Crisis: FG Slams $10 Billion Fine On Binance by abbey621(m): 6:27pm On Mar 02
Greenfusion:

Fine, is Binance registered in Nigeria?
Must every online company pay tax to Nigeria just because Nigerians use their services.

Do people access Nairaland outside Nigeria?
Does nairaland pay taxes to every country that it is accessed from?

For the AML, has Nigeria govt verified binance's open ledger or transaction history to know that any transaction violated the AML act? It's just like saying 30 billion dollar passed through firstbank then it has violated AML law, violation is on an individual transaction basis.

On the issue of inflation, it's no news to every nigerian whether learned or not that Nigeria economy and prices is based on petroleum products and we produce less than we consume, hence depending on imports, we don't need a Phd in Economics to know the effects of these.

If you go down history you would discover that every time the prices of petroleum products go high it affects prices generally, a petty trader knows and understands this.
A president cannot be so daft and unconcerned to the extent of taking out petroleum subsidy, floating the naira and increasing taxes in some areas and not expect prices to inflate, even a dull primary school kid knows this.
Prices skyrocketed, life became unbearable then Japa syndrome started, therefore increased the demand for foreign currencies. Have you seen the statistics of people that have JAPAd and intending to Japa?
You cannot have such high figures and expect naira not to depreciate.

GEJ's govt succeeded in pegging the dollar and keeping it in check btw 150 to 180 but as APC assumed office instead of focusing on the job at hand and recruiting the best hands they went political and started the blame game. Today naira has crashed......i don tire to type.

Binance is not Nigeria's problem, the daft and clueless APC govt is just looking for where to get money from which they would eventually steal and share between themselves.

You're still confused and comparing apples with oranges. Nairaland is not a fianncial instrument so you cannot compare. The better comparison is Binance and Western Union/Moneygram!

Further AML and KYC works hand in hand, you cannot do AML without knowing your customers/clients! The Nigerian government lackadestical attitude is not an excuse for non complaiance. As a global company, Binance is held to a higher standard, it does not matter if Nigerian government failed to do the right thing, all that matters is that it is now awake and ready to correct the error! The question you should be asking is this, IF BINANCE can pay taxes to U.S and U.K govt, what stops it from paying to Nigerian govt?

Next, you're wrong about petroleum! While that is the major source of production for the nation, human resources is another. Any country that has no control over the influx and output of its currency is bound to fail. The amount of dollars pumped in and out of Nigeria for non petroleum services or products is outrageous and that coupled with clueless government policies is responsible for the Naira crash!

Finally you mentioned GEJ pegging dollars and I laugh.....It's only an ignorant person that would believe Nigeria's current problems is not a result of cummulation of bad decisions from GEJ all the way to Tinubu. You made a fine point about lack of exports and focusing solely on petroleum, was this not the same condition under GEJ? The only thing that has changed is that Nigeria has ran out of money to continue subsidizing the wastage of government and its citizens. The true value of the Naira is here, we are now witnessing the consequences of years of PRETENSE!
Business / Re: FOREX Crisis: FG Slams $10 Billion Fine On Binance by abbey621(m): 10:21pm On Mar 01
Greenfusion:

Can you please educate us on how Binance is affecting Nigeria negatively

Money laundering (Over 20 Billion passed through its infrastructure last year alone but the governemnt does not get access to the people conducting these transactions, that's an AML violation)
Tax Evasion( They charge fees for conversion of crypto and so on but does the government get a cut? )
INFLATION (This na common sense, Dollar is now the official currency of Nigeria, even bambiala beggars dey reject 100 Naira)
