Thanks a lot @mimilyrics

mimilyrics:
You don't need to send a change of circumstance form to UKVI so don't expect a response to that. Proof of your marriage need to be submitted with your wife's application. What you need to do is to apply for your wife's student dependant visa in accordance with the guidelines and you'll be fine.

Hello great minds.

So I’m now in the UK on tier 4 student visa. I applied as single but after I got my Visa I got married before traveling. About four weeks ago, I filled a change of circumstance form coupled with wedding pictures and other throwbacks and sent to home office so as to update them about my marital status. Up till now I haven’t heard from them and I hope to apply for my wife’s visa (tier 4 partner dependant) by first or second week of July. Justwise and co please advice.

You should be able to correct this on the day of your biometrics. You may be required to pay for assisted service like you have said.

Igengo:

Exactly why I’m confused too. The information I got earlier is that after getting wedding certificate, I can file for my wife while I arrive in the UK and this is going to be a dependent Visa with £6120 as her one year maintenance fees. I think mamaEEE May have forgotten my story due to my many questions wink

mimilyrics:
Spousal and fiancee visa applications are for those with permanent residence in the UK. Dependants of Tiered visa holders need the dependant visa application. Pls make sure you fill the right application form to avoid stories that touch.
For dependant visas, the maintenance can be in either the main applicant's account or the dependant's account.
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by abby2443: 4:16pm On Feb 08, 2021
Oh 18600? I thought we’re doing £6120 for her as 9 months maintenance fee sad
I’m on a student Visa

MamaEEE:

The only financial document as regard bank statement should be yours, to show u meet up d 18600. Like I said hers is not needed. All she gets to submit from her end is TB certificate, marriage certificate, English test or meric and Passport. If u have a child already birth certificate of the child is needed....
As regards what u saying abt her living expenses. If u have receipts from wsh ever means u usually send her cash,eg western union, money transfer apps etc .they usually send email confirmation abt ur transactions, u can print those and add to the application. That il cover for the evidence for her upkeep from you
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by abby2443: 12:27pm On Feb 08, 2021
@mamaEEE, I am supposed to put her living expenses in her account right?? Which means she’d be submitting her account statement to UKVI. Please educate me

MamaEEE:

You do not need her bank statement for the application... So that answers your ? That don't matter

Thank you @MamaEEE, OBYNOWEST12 and Bourne007... Does it also matter if she uses my name for TB test, International passport and then her bank account details that carries her maiden name?? Sorry for too many questions smiley

Thank you @mimilyrics

mimilyrics:
Yes, there's no requirements to change names after getting married. If you decide to change names due to marriage, the marriage certificate is sufficient proof of name change for UKVI.

Hello MamaEEE, can we use her maiden name for her international passport and tuberculosis test even after our court wedding on Thursday?

MamaEEE:

Yes it's ok
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by abby2443: 3:42pm On Feb 01, 2021
MamaEEE Thanks a lot. Yes we’re doing court wedding next week before I travel. That should work right?

MamaEEE:

I don't think u can bring her in with fiancee visa... Uption 1 she can apply for 6months visit visa
2: you wait till u get married to her and apply for dependant visa...

Thank you for the insight @fatima04

Construction Industry is still doing okay so far. And Architecture is on the shortage occupation list. Depending on your level of experience and dedication to job search, you are bound to get something soon enough.

Highlight your competence in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM etc on your CV, update your LinkedIn profile as well. And lastly brush up on UK construction laws, health and safety and add those words to your CV.

Thanks for your response @giselle237, I do appreciate and I have sent you a mail. Please respond

giselle237:

Last I checked court wedding in Nigeria u need to give 21 days notice, February starts the day after tomorrow and u guys are not married.
It is Nigeria and yes they can back date the initial 21 days notice but have u thought about actually getting a wedding date and then getting married, ur time is ticking if u want to bring her to d UK to be ur dependent.
I speak of your timeline because u say u need to come for your studies by this same February ending.

Best bet is to get to a court now, start the processes immediately, get a date, get wedded and then get court wedding certificate.
You cnt get the certificate of unionization if u are not married so oga go and get married before u travel..

If successful, armed with the certificate and other evidence + maintenance funds she can then put in an application for a tier 4 partner dependent visa.

Hello people of God grin grin

I just got my student Visa and I’d be traveling to Birmingham soon. I am an Architect and I’d like to know how the market is for Architects in the UK. Yes I understand there’s covid and I also understand that as a student I may have to do some odd jobs before landing the dream job lol. I just want to know how it is for Architects over there. Thanks!

Hello great minds. I hope we are all doing great.

I got my student tier 4 Visa this week and I plan to travel by ending of February. I applied as single but now I’m planning to bring my fiancée as soon as I get to UK. For this reason, we plan to have our court wedding before I leave. Please guide me on the kind of visa to go for and how to go about it.

NB: I was advised not to include her in my tier 4 application since we haven’t gotten married legally.

Hi JustCare, I did my biometrics on the same day and same center. Please let me know the outcome when you go tomorrow. Thanks and God bless!

[quote author=JustCare post=98383507]@justwise @lagosismyhome is there a chance that my passport has been returned to tls VI without them updating it on the tracker? I feel like going to the center tomorrow being the 18th working day (29th December biometrics)

880 is the normal processing fee which takes 12 weeks or more. 880+600 is for priority processing which takes about two or three weeks if your documents are intact. I don't know about the 112, I'm guessing that's for onshore applicants.

trendingsleek:

how much in total is the fee for vetassess i did some calculations and am seeing 398,000 is that it? 880+600+112=1592*250=398,000 naira
