You sound like you are trivializing the disease, you should not. Mortality rate goes to 10.5% for people with cardiovascular diseases. Like you noted, older people are very vulnerable. Since it is very infectious irrespective of your age, a young person can catch it then give it to their older grandparent who then dies.
You should not trivialize it unless you just want to kill off every old person.
