Culture / Most Wicked Tribes In Nigeria by Abefed(m): 9:55am On Nov 01, 2022
Nigeria is a very diverse entity with a lot of tribes and clans, however, the country can be divided into three major tribes, the Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba. Over the years of coexistence, the three tribes have grown to hate each other, they basically just tolerate themselves. However, this animosity has led to a lot of political, social, and economic problems for the country and most of the tribes have blamed the next tribe for their woes and situation.

With this many issues, a lot of tribes have been forced to be aggressive toward the state, their neighbours, or themselves. It is mostly every man for himself and this trait is the basics of this article.

Below, we would be looking at the top 10 most wicked tribes in the country. It should be known that the bad traits we would be examining in these tribes are not exhibited by every member of this tribe, just a good percentage.

1. Fulani Tribe
A dominant tribe in Nigeria known for their nomadic lifestyle. The Fulani tribe is topping our list because of so many killings and atrocities that have been linked to them. There have been more killings done by them than other tribes in Nigeria. The Fulani herdsmen (unknown gunmen) is an example. They can be mostly found in the northern part of the country, in states like Sokoto, Bauchi, Kastina, Kebbi, Gombe, Yobe amongst others.

The Fulani people are mostly Muslims and even if they’ve caused a lot of catastrophes, you will be surprised to know that only a small percentage of them can be blamed for the problem.

2. Ogoni Tribe
What do you think about when you hear Ogoni? It’s definitely not merry and roses. This tribe is known for kidnappings, killings, and many illicit crimes. There have been some claims that the Ogoni people don’t value lives. They do and act the way they want and can even pay as little as N500 to make someone mad.. Read More

Nairaland / General / Most Isolated Peoples by Abefed(m): 9:37am On Nov 01, 2022
Sentinelese, India
Frequently dubbed “the most isolated people in the world” by the media, the inhabitants of North Sentinel Island in the Bay of Bengal are intensely reclusive and known to respond violently to visitors to the island. Although referred to as Sentinelese or North Sentinel Islanders, we don’t know what they call themselves; their language is unknown to outsiders, even to the Andaman tribes on neighboring islands to whom they are related. Estimates typically put the Sentinelese population at 50 to 200 people, and they support their numbers with a hunter-gatherer lifestyle: building canoes for fishing and crabbing, and hunting small game with bows, arrows and spears. Since the 1950s, the Indian government has declared the island off-limits and strictly prohibits visitors, for the safety of all concerned. The Sentinelese, like so many isolated Indigenous people, are vulnerable to many diseases that a visitor might introduce. Visitors in turn are vulnerable to arrows, which the Sentinelese are known to shoot at approaching boats, helicopters and people. https://naijapapi.com.ng/blog/most-isolated-peoples/The island made headlines around the world in 2018 when an American missionary traveled there illegally. He was killed soon after by members of the tribe.

Culture / The Most Spoken Language In The World by Abefed(m): 5:58pm On Oct 30, 2022
Ever wondered what the most widely spoken languages are in the world? Although there are currently more than 7,000 languages, more than half of the world's population speak 23 of them only.

1. English (1,132 million speakers)
Native speakers: 379 million
Non-native speakers: 753 million

According to Ethnologue, English is the largest language in the world for both native and non-native speaker.

Like Latin or Greek at the time, English is the universal language of today. It is the default language in international business, tourism, technology, and much more.

A bilingual person, who speaks Spanish and English, can understand 1 in 3 people who connect to the Internet. In addition, he or she can access over 60% of everything published on the web.

2. Mandarin (1,117 million speakers)

Culture / History Of Kambari; Nigeria’s Naked Tribe by Abefed(m): 10:13pm On Oct 29, 2022
One might wonder if, truly, there is still a tribe or nation in this modern world that does not wear clothes. In Nigeria, irrespective of how local the community is, it does not have an iota of modernity in its culture and social formation: Read more on
