BS! BS!!
I started having mild contractions around 3am on May 23rd so I couldn't sleep till day break.. I saw mucus plug just when we were about leaving home and my water broke on my way to the hospital .. The contractions increased .. Doctor did VE immediately I arrived at the hospital in the morning and said I was 5cm dilated. I was so happy.. I was moved into labour room, Contractions increased and the pain unbearable, I can't explain it .. VE was done again after few hours and I was moved into delivery room.. I was told to push as contraction was coming, but I was so tired to push..After several pushing, the midwife was like I will receive episiotomy ohh. I was like nooo, please don't give me episiotomy ohh., she had to take the scissors or whatever they use, before I could say don't cut me, she already did .. I pushed a few more times then baby finally came out ... I thought I was done with all the pains till they started stitching the episiotomy..I was shouting while they stitch..

BS submitted..Cc: May Cappo Expectantmom..

Safe delivery to other waddling Mamas and I pray God will answer the prayers of those TTC..

Congratulations! It's so wicked of that nurse to stitch you without numbing.

Very nice comment. I will definitely continue to make friends based on values not on skin colour and will surround myself with people in the same race when raising kids

What you're saying is true. I've heard it from some blacks who grew up in white neighbourhoods and felt inferior because of their skin colour

Please let me know if you agree with this though. When it comes to racism, I honestly believe that Africans contribute to it. While some Africans make a good impression and win people's respect, a lot of Africans make a bad name for themselves by getting involved in illegal activities

For example, Nigeria is well know for romance fraud and the Nigerian Prince scam

Yes, some whites hate blacks just because they have a different skin colour, but some blacks add to the hate

hmm... it's a lot more complicated than that but let me explain it like this. Black people didn't cause racism, even from history. We never asked anyone to call us monkeys or associate black skin with negative things. Don't think of it as something we can cause, it's more like something that was (and is still) done to us. If you take time to read news from around the world, especially pertaining children, you will see that in most cases it's not about how law abiding (or not) the person is, it's about a system that has been designed to treat black people a certain way, even from a young age. Romance fraud is very common in russia and other countries, even some of the so called "nigerian princes" are not even black, but why is it always a bigger deal when it's a black person caught in a crime. Look at how netflix portrayed the tinder swindler and anna delvey, do you think the narrative would have been the same if they were black? I'm not supporting criminal activity and I don't even have as much as a speeding ticket but it's incorrect to say that africans contribute to racism. People of all races commit crimes.

Why do you say that racism isn't going anywhere? How bad is it?

It's just reality. Human beings typically prefer people who are just like them and most of these countries have years and years of institutionalized racism. Even when you don't see it, best believe that it's there. It affects promotions at work, it affects children's experiences in school, it affects life as a whole. How bad it is depends on the situation and the sensitivity of the individual. A lot of nigerians that say they only have white friends are wining and dining with racists but it's not easy for them to see it because they are tone deaf. They feel happy when white people tell them that they are different from other black people, they don't notice the comments about their culture and food, or when their white friends keep mute on serious racial issues. If you want to have a balanced life abroad, don't run away from people like you, be friendly with everyone and pick your close circle based on values and not skin color. You will meet white and asian people in school or at work, keep them in your network so that you can continue to work your way through the system. If you plan to have children especially, please have friends from your culture and country, don't raise confused children that have no culture. The generation before us that came and befriended only non-nigerians are regretting it now that their children don't fit in anywhere. The pride that your children will have in their skin color and culture will come from them watching you. What will they learn from a self-hating parent that speaks poorly about their people? Most importantly, don't break any laws or keep friends that break laws, you will find out that black people typically get harsher sentences. Try to get into a high paying field, comfort is important. Money lowers the voice of racism - when you can afford really nice things, eat at fancy restaurants and shop at certain places, etc but it won't take it away.

It's not likely one will have only negative experiences, it's a mix of both. Some downsides are loneliness, racism, being away from family and established friendships, learning a new culture and way of life and possibly having to go back to school or get certificates. Most of these can be mitigated to some extent if one is intentional but racism isn't going anywhere.

Whatever option will keep mother and children safe. Let the doctor know that you are not against a c section. The doctor will need to consider the position of the babies, her blood pressure and other medical history. She will need lots of support from you and other family members post-delivery. She's blessed to have a husband that cares so much. I wish you both a safe arrival of your twins.

I think you're being too hard and critical of her. You said she's pregnant yet you're policing how much food she eats? Nothing good can come out of that. A lot of pregnancy weight gain is also hormonal so no amount of starving can ensure she won't "get out of shape." That's what it takes to bring another human being into this world, and that's why immature men should not have kids. A lot will change with pregnancy and after delivery, but over time, with support and gentle encouragement, she will get herself back. The easiest way to make your wife fall permanently out of love with you is to treat her badly in pregnancy. If you still need this woman, it's time to bite your tongue and show her love and support.

This is why feminism matters. Feminism should not be reduced to silly husband and wife issues. There are real issues facing women who are willing to work and are entitled to equal pay and benefits.

And I am very very angry. Gas I used to buy 2800, then 3k, 4k, and 5k. Suddenly it jumped to 7500 and now (today) 9250 in Port Harcourt. I am very very angry. Let no one here disturb me with nonsense news about Buhari and his nonsense South Africa Trade fair and nonsense. No cross me today o. I fit beat person

The gas finished yesterday. I told my wife that yesterday that I will buy the gas today because I needed to get to work and somehow raise money to augment what I have to be able to buy the gas. I told her to use the kerosene stove that yesterday and this morning. Guess her reply? She said she can't use kerosene even for a day. That even her Mum in the village does not use kerosene stove. She said a few other unprintable things.
For the sake of my 3 children I still had to buy the gas today.

I had not eaten in my house for a month now. The reason is that she said that they money I gave her for upkeep in October was not enough (I give her 62.5% of my monthly salary every month for our home upkeep). As a result she refused to give me food from around the middle of the month when she said the money had finished. She cooked for herself and the children (possibly from her own salary). When I gave her upkeep money for this month I told her not bother keeping food for me so that the money will go far enough. That's where we are till now. I have no intention of ever eating her food until she acknowledges that she was wrong and apologizes.

Now I know this WON'T happen. She will rather die than admit she's wrong or apologize. This is why I know that the mistake of a marriage is heading for the rocks and I am ready for it. Nonsense and ingredients. I have endured this nonsense for 15 years. I am done. Anything whe won happen tomorrow, make e happen today.

Please I beg of you. Two wrongs don't make a right. From your account she is obviously wrong but don't let people on the internet make you feel justified to scatter things because of that. It's a very difficult time for people in nigeria right now financially and from what you have written you are trying your best. Have you tried talking to her when things are not heated? She should be able to feel your pain and appreciate your effort. More importantly, what does she do for a living? If she's working she needs to contribute to the running of the household. Just take time to breathe and calm down then you can revisit things.

Meanwhile, I just want to stay out here treating Nigerian girls in the language they understand. angry angry

Why don't you date the women in your mother's family and treat them in the language that they understand since it's in your bloodline for women to beat men?? Why are you going around mistreating innocent women? Go to therapy or counseling to work through your obvious issues but please leave innocent women out of this. You should be old and intelligent enough to know that what you saw growing up was the exception rather than the rule.

Health / Re: Painful Menses. Please Help! by abike12(f): 9:16pm On Nov 01, 2021
Have you had a pelvic scan to check for fibroids and other growths? Some people just have more painful periods naturally but if it's affecting your quality of life it may be worth taking a closer look. If it turns out you have fibroids, don't be afraid of surgery and please stay away from herbal remedies. All the best.

ETA: Look at your diet. You may need to eliminate certain things and eat a plant based diet. Red meat, chicken, sugar and dairy products are the first things you should eliminate. Diet changes work wonders, even after surgery you need to eat better to reduce the risk of reoccurrence.
