Family / Re: How Do You Cope, Divorced And Separated Men by abike12(f): 3:45pm On Jan 22
your responsibility as a father has nothing to do with your relationship with your ex-wife and the infidelity you keep mentioning is not useful information in the context of taking care of your children. the reason for divorce does not excuse you from your responsibility to your children. do not discuss this with your children in an attempt to get back at your ex, it will backfire on you and your children will view you as a bitter and frustrated person. move on with your life and hopefully you have better luck next time.

I hate how someone can be minding their business in nigeria and this type of thing can happen to them with no accountability, no compensation, inadequate medical care. The victims will pay the price for what they did not cause and it's not right

They are also looking for guys with papers. This paper issue has changed the dynamics.

I dont even mind dating someone without papers because I'm on a pathway to getting my papers already.

I don't recommend a woman with papers dating a man without papers solely because of the many many women that have done it in the past and had negative outcomes, ended up being used and dumped and left alone to struggle as single mothers. it's normal for a man without papers to claim he doesn't need papers but a lot of times they are telling lies, it's all part of the game. if you were of the caliber that it would be believable that you want to relocate to nigeria, they may find it easier to believe. from experience of over 20 years in america, it is wise and prudent to keep immigration matters separate from marriage, with some exceptions. it's not fair but with all that has been happening to women here, it's a necessary safeguard.

if you really want to move to nigeria, why not date someone in nigeria and travel back and forth until you are ready to relocate. abi you too don't want someone without american visa??

are you able to see a dermatologist? like others have said, it may get better with age but it's best to have it checked out because of the social stigma associated with having skin issues.

Thanks for your response,i am coming with my spouse, plus i intend to work as a lecturer. Any idea about North carolina, the cities you mentined, have high cost of living .please can you suggest another ,am looking at weather, cost of living , less violent and where there is no natural disaster,e.g Hurricane, fire etc

you're right. budget is a big consideration especially initially. keep in mind that you don't have to remain where you start out. you can always relocate based on work, preferences, etc
weather and cost of living - houston and dallas (summers are hot but winters are relatively mild). running away from hurricane eliminates houston but there's the probability that you can live in houston for a few years and relocate without having a major hurricane. america is a violent country with lots of mentally unstable and volatile armed people (I have to be blunt here) so I don't have any recommendation on less violent city other than stay prayed up and be careful. houston is very diverse, not sure how that compares to north carolina but just something to keep in mind. good luck.

Which city do I choose between Georgia, south Carolina, Texas and Virginia? Note that my Children are below 15year and I am a lecturer.I want affordable and Non violence state. Please advise me.

consider staying away from the south... I know homes are cheaper etc but wanting non violence state and being a lecturer, you probably want to live in a more enlightened environment. are you coming with a spouse and do they plan to work? If I had to choose again I would move to a city in colorado or california. Seattle is another good choice.

Travel / Re: Why Do Most Wealthy Nigerians Prefer To Live In Nigeria Than To Relocate Abroad? by abike12(f): 4:01pm On Oct 09, 2023
lots of generalizations here... many one percenters have homes in multiple countries and maintain a presence Nigeria for business reasons, networking and maintaining their social relevance. Many big decisions and business moves are initiated at some of the parties we see them attending so they have to maintain a presence in Nigeria to some extent. A lot of them technically live in two or three countries and they take their domestic help along with them in addition to regular staff that they maintain in their homes worldwide. I was surprised to see a comment saying they can't have domestic staff abroad cheesy I don't know why anyone will think a billionaire's maid or assistant will not have access to any country's visa to follow their boss around the globe. The people that have just relocated should please try and live abroad for a while and expand your experiences before coming to generalize and paint a picture that is inaccurate and only shows a lack of exposure.

Good afternoon mama, pls I have a serious challenge and dunno if anyone here might have had the experience before.

While I was pregnant, my bp has never been high even when my leg was swollen, the bp neva enter 120 bt 2 weeks after I gave birth it increase to 132/60 which the hospital gave me a drug(dopatab) to regulate it bt I didn't finish it because my mum said it's not gud for it to b too low. I went to check again today because am having slight headache and arm pain bt surprisingly it's seeing 142/97.
What could be the cause of high bp after delivery pls and wat else can I do to bring it back to normal, am seriously confuse and tired of all dis 1thing after d oda showing up after delivery

This happened to me after my first. It's pre-eclampsia (yes, one can develop it after delivery). All through the pregnancy, no bp issues at all then few days after delivery I had this bad headache that refused to go away. I went to the doctor and they checked my bp and it was really high. Please take it seriously and don't hesitate to go back to the hospital with any concerns.

BS! BS!! BS!!!

This one go long small oooo

Beginning
After our wedding, my wife kept having baby fever. She was always sending me IG videos and talking about how cute a baby was, but I dey run. So finally in October(6 months after our wedding) after much discussion & prayer we agreed to start trying, thinking at least by December the baby suppose enter. Next thing, my wife started feeling a bit sick and decided to do a PT(Pregnancy Test) at home. Omo, this baby no calm down. Na that October gangan, e come. E shock me.

Funny enough we go do blood PT later for one hospital like that, they said it was negative. I’m like shey una dey whine me ni. Something wey I don see for like 3 strips. We go somewhere else to do another test, which turns out positive and we register there for ANC(Antenatal Care).

1st Trimester
Anyways moving on, 1st trimester was something else. Because there was a lot of nausea, and a lot of vomiting, my wife could barely keep anything down. Also, I was doing most of the cooking, so she could not smell what I was cooking if not she won’t eat. She also said I can’t be using my body spray. No be small thing. There was one time she was vomiting so bad, that her throat was hurting, I think she even vomited blood. I kept trying to do what I can to help.

Congratulations to your family! I love how involved and supportive you were throughout the whole process. May God bless the little one.

Seems I won't have to wait till Friday... Started spotting early today....in d lab now waiting my turn... Let God help me biko ...I dnt av anyone else cept him.... After ttcing for so long... Make him pity me abeg....abeg... Pls

No matter what happens please trust God. When I went through a miscarriage I prayed and cried and slept on my side for almost 12 hours in pain. I refused to get up so I won't spot. Ended up in the hospital the next day and the worst had happened. I was so discouraged that God after all my prayers, but I held on to the faith. Exactly a year later I was in the same hospital on the labor and delivery ward to have my baby. Anxiety and desperation are tools the devil uses. God will answer His names in your life, over this situation and you will carry your children.

Good day everyone, my wife is 5weeks pregnant.

She has been weighed down by the pregnancy and I had a belief that it is too early for the pregnancy to be weighing her down . Pls house how soon does pregnancy symptoms start?

Also, at what week do we start antenatal?

what is the basis of your belief that it is too early? have you been pregnant before or do you have a uterus? There's a pregnant woman living with you and telling you how she's feeling but you want strangers to validate her symptoms... Why is that?
