Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Thriving In Turbulent Times: Unlocking The Power Of Nigeria's Workforce by Abismart21: 4:08pm On Jul 31, 2023
These are challenging times for growth-minded/focused organizations in Nigeria. The high mobility rate (japa syndrome) of existing workforce can pose a threat to both operational and strategic goals of any organization.

Another season of japa is quiet approaching, the damage is more pronounced if these workers resigning and traveling out of Nigeria didn't give information on time for the organization to prepare and train a quality replacement.

Hence the suggestion of the author on proactiveness on the path of the organization in fostering an environment for 'honest conversation' is a great way to deal with the impact of 'japa' on the organization's strategy.

Overall, the question that begs for answer from this right up is about the suggestion/reminder made by Fajemirokun:

Who is to make investment in attitude and personality, as a catalyst for (which) growth?

The employee, the organization or perhaps both and how?
Education / Don't Fall Victim Of Your Own Mind (ALWAYS THINK TWICE) by Abismart21: 10:44am On Jun 23, 2023
DON'T FALL VICTIM TO YOUR OWN MIND!!!

Five people paid 1.25 million dollars to die horribly. This is another piece of evidence to not trust what you are so convinced of doing. Of course, the majority of the time people take action or make an effort at doing something new or different, it is usually based on the mind's conviction of rewards that will accompany it.

The story of these guys who died tragically 13,000 Feet deep underwater is a reminisce of my own experience in January this year. As usual, I was so convinced of the necessity for me to take a trip. That trip ended up costing one a fortune. But the lessons learned remain. While the Oceangate titan guys are no more alive to share their experiences or lessons from their exploration. Here I am telling you to not always follow what your mind feels strongly about. Sometimes, it is a set-up.

At least, you can imagine the level of sheer determination and conviction it will take for someone to pay 250,000 dollars to go 13000 Feet deep underwater to see a 111-year-old shipwreck. it ended horribly.

Now, I ask you, what is it you currently feel strongly about, what is the step you think is your next must-take step, even so, what is that strong belief you have; of yourself, of someone else, or of something? The idea here is that.

Think twice. What if you are wrong in this conviction you hold so dearly, what if that is what is leading you on the path you might later regret?

In your life let everything be questionable. You must question the things you feel strongly about the same way you question what you ain't sure about.
