Interesting, Profuzi and abriya, you're not exactly helping your case, since you now appear to have more than one account. Y'all need to answer the question.

Hello Cao,

I sent you a direct message. Kindly let's have the conversation there so as not to derail this thread.

And in ALL HONESTY, I am not and do not know who Profuzi is. That doesn't mean I do not appreciate his/her willingness to assist.

Kindly check your mail and let's get going.

Thank you.

Can't exactly answer these questions, I haven't played any Nigerian games. Who is in charge of this survey? Academia or Comercial?

@Cao, I am in charge of this survey and it is for academic purpose.

There is a link in my first post that takes you to a survey monkey page to answer a few questions. Guess you will be able to answer other questions.

Thank you.

Politics / Post January 1, Has Nigeria's Petroleum Downstream Now Been Deregulated? by abriya(m): 9:19am On Jan 16, 2012
Considering the announcement of increase in pump price of fuel on Jan 1 by PPPRA from =N=65/litre to =N=141/litre and the subsequent reduction in pump price with the announcement of President GEJ, Has Nigeria's petroleum downstream sector been deregulated?

If yes, where are the much talked about 'market forces'?

And if no, why the price increase from =N=65/litre to =N=141/litre and now =N=97/litre?

Thanks all for enquiring on the PMP exams.

@ BLOW007
The Project Management Professional (PMP) is a certification awarded by the PMI (Project Management Institute) and it is a first rate professional credential for individuals associated with project management.

The PMP designation is the highest ranking in project management internationally.

The PMP exam is an online exam and you have the opportunity of choosing your exam date when you feel best prepared. However, you need to read the materials we give you for at least 1 month before you write the exam(200 questions-4hours). We advise you write the exam at your earliest convenience.

To register for the exams you have two options - You may first register as a member ($129), and then register for the exam ($409); or simply register for the exam without the membership ($555) - visit www.pmi.org for more information.

Lecture venue in Lagos is Newcastle Hotel, Anthony, Gbagada and the next class is starting Feb.2- Feb 17 2008 (only weekends)

Our rates are quite affordable and flexible.
Hoping to hear from you.

Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by abriya(m): 11:45am On Nov 01, 2007
Hi Nairalanders,
Zenith bank too just joined the train.

The Nigerian Stock Exchange, this morning, has placed Zenith Bank Plc. stock on technical suspension following the receipt of application for:

(1) a public offer of 2,025,000,000 units at N38.90 (Valued at N78, 772, 500, 000:00k);and

(2) rights offer of 1,930,317,563 units at N36.90 (valued at N71, 228, 718, 074:70k)

The total offer size is N150, 001, 218, 074.70k.

Before now I had thought Diamond and Bank PHB were the bomb but men this offer tempts me.
My only concern now is the impact of listing additional shares on its forward EPS currently at 2.29 (the industry best)

@ the Gurus
Let the discussion begin.

Hi Nairalanders,
How do we see this?

Afribank’s N100bn public offer gets SEC approval
The Securities and Exchange Commission has approved the bid of Afribank Nigeria Plc to raise N100bn from the capital market.
Afribank plans to raise the funds by offering four billion ordinary shares of 50kobo each at N25 per share. The Nigerian Stock Exchange had already given its approval for the listing of the shares after offer.

Personally I think this offer is in itself overpriced but I also want to get informed positions before I decide not to near there.
Before now of all the banks coming out I have decided on FCMB, Bank PHB and Diamond bank but I do not want to look back I see I missed out.

Business / Re: What's The Best Way To Market Goods And Services In Nigeria by abriya(m): 9:29am On Oct 23, 2007
Hi Knzguru,
I understand your feeling most likely as a start-up.
The best way to market in my opinion is first by word of mouth and then advertising using a media that addresses your specific market.
Mundane as it seems, word of mouth remains the most effective way marketing your product for the ffg reasons.
1. You commit your integrity to the product or service. Sometimes buying behaviour is highly influenced more by who is selling. Put this in mind when selling too.
2. You get to know customers fears and what they like first hand. This gives you the opportunity to know your Unique Selling Point from the customer's perspective. Most often the USP from the seller's perspective differs from that of the buyer and word of mouth gives you the opportunity to close the ranks.
Knzguru, you must realise that nothing is bought, they are only sold.
This have been my marketing philosophy and the results have been tremendous.
Politics / Re: Madam Etteh! For Or Against? All In Favour: by abriya(m): 8:28am On Oct 23, 2007
If Nigeria must climb the 21st century and lead the black race to do same, we must as a matter of urgency solve the leadership questions of service, integrity, knowing what to do and how to do them.
While Etteh may not be the problem, we should show zero tolerance for anyone who represents the past we should forget starting with anyone we find to have erred.
For me, the argument is not just the cost of using 628m to build a paradise, it is what i will like to refer to as thought less process in decision making for an office as high as the National Assembly Speakership.
Imagine Principal Officers sitting in their office and fixing 628m 0r 385m(imagine thier defence) as contract sum without recourse to the process of awarding contrcts.
For me Etteh is a heavy spender who may spend more on other luxuries.
Remember the planned birthday bash in the US. angry
Properties / I need info on making money in the real estate biz. by abriya(m): 9:26am On Oct 18, 2007
Hi Nairalanders,
I have been hearing about investing in real estates and how its potential ROI is next only to the stock market.
Having made appreciable returns in the stock market, I want to begin what I will like to describe as investing journey in the real estates.
Can somebody help me see how money is made by investing in the real estate.
Personally I want to be sure that when I am set on this journey that I have the resource to pull through.
Simply put, What do I do with my money to earn returns and say I have invested in real estates.
