Business / Re: FCCPC Orders Opay To Address Account Anomalies; Opay Reacts by AbuAmmaar77: 6:51am On Oct 05, 2023 |
This is a simple case. Opay and Palmpay use similar wallet system for account creation. Just tell the person to register with Opay using the same number, the 30k would be there. Mind you, the intended recipient might have done what I explained above already but trying to outsmart you. Badadvisor: |

Well, I tried making a transfer to my recently registered 9mobile sim, which I never registered with opay but no wallet name came out. The thing is, a lot of Nigerians are forgetful. When Opay started operating in Nigeria, they were more popular with their e-hailing ride operation hi"Oride". Then a lot of people downloaded their app and made use of the service, many even link their bank's debit cards to fund wallet. Using Oride then was mostly cheaper than taking a conventional Okada. People were enjoying the awoofs while opay was operating at loss. It was the ban of bikes on certain routes in Lagos, that made opay discontinued the e-hailing ride operation, re-strategised and focused on fintech. Now these people complaining that their phone numbers are bringing up their details while not registered with opay, might have used "Oride" then with same number. 6 Likes 3 Shares |

ogododo: The above narrative is very realistic. What is stated is 116000 megawatts-hour. I.e a total of 11600 MW is generated in 24 hours. So the actual power available for utilization at a time is about 483 MW (11600/24), part of which may be distributed/sold to the surrounding communities. |
7.5 %VAT [/quotse] I did d calculation. It is actually 2.5%. Telco service providers have been remitting 5% VAT on airtime sales to FG right from time. so they they have to adjust the tariff rate to accommodate the 2.5% increment in VAT. I think this should come as a shock to the consumer. Even manufacturers of tangible commodities that are VATABLE will either increase price, reduce quality or quantity to transfer the increament in VAT to d consumers. N.B: I am not in anyway supporting the government on this, as there are other ways of increasing revenue base, without inflicting more hardship to d pupulace. 3 Likes |

Business / Re: Dangote Is Selling Dangote Flour Mills For N130 Billion ($361.11 Million) by AbuAmmaar77: 10:57am On Apr 24, 2019 |
uruba23:Nigeria is not self sufficient in sugar. what the sugar producers do is to import raw sugar, refine and bag, as against making use of our sugar cane. so, not less than 80% of the sugar we consume is imported. As for rice, it is a blatant lie (pure propaganda) that we are self sufficient. locally cultivated and processed rice are not readily available to consumers, while we mostly consume foreign brands that are massively smuggled in through the land boarders. 1 Like |

Agriculture / Re: FG To Ban Tomato Importation This Year by AbuAmmaar77: 8:50am On Feb 05, 2019 |
heskeyw:You are off point. I think the minister of agriculture and the policy makers are quite dumb. It has been in our agric textbooks for decades that a good percentage of tomatoes produce waste due to lack of storage facilities. These dumb people still use those outdated figures as fact. The truth is we are not self-sufficient in tomatoes produce yet. So banning import action will be counterproductive. Just like d case of rice. They claim we now grow enough rice locally which is a blatant lie. All those state government rice brands are all propaganda, until we see local brands to buy in the open market. |
First I would like to know what drug combination she is taking. Is it the Isoniazid-Rifampicin-Pyrazinamide combination? Your findings are right about INH, and in truth all the anti-tb drugs have possible effects on the baby. Specifically for the INH, one of its effects is as you have mentioned, you are also right about the pyridoxine, we routinely give it even in non-pregnant patients, talk more about pregnant women who have more demand for it. My advice is this : Continue with the pyridoxine. Those drugs are supposed to be used under close supervision of a Doctor, in this case, an obstetrician. Take her and register for ANC in a teaching hospital near you. She would also need routine tests for the liver enzymes (at least every 2months) cos of the hepatoxic effect of the drugs.[/quote Thanks for the response. She started with rifampicin-isoniazid-pyrazinamide-ethambutol combination. but it was reduced to just isoniazid-rifampicin combination with lower mass compositions about a week ago. |
Health / Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by AbuAmmaar77: 5:46pm On Sep 04, 2017 |
good evening doctor. my wife is 7 weeks pregnant (based on LMP). she has also been on anti TB regiment for 2 months. she asked the health care provider that administer the anti TB, about safety with pregnancy but was told there is nothing to worry about. I found In a medical journal online that isoniazid, one of the component of drug can cross placenta and that the pregnant women must be followed up because of the possibility of INH-induced hepatotoxicity. And Thus 50 mg daily of Pyridoxine was recommended. Now my question is: should we go ahead with d supplement or just adhere to d position of d health personal at DOT centre. mind not my long wordings. Thanks for d wonderful job being done on d this platform |
