justwise:

You are such a useless human being, where did you get that nonsense from? You are as clueless as the 'hacker' you claimed to have met online.

Hahahaha... Dnt mind these people. Passwords are encrypted b4 dey r saved in the database if u must know so how can the mods know ur password? People just talk out of Ignorance.
Nairaland / General / Re: How Did Spammers Get Our E-Mail Addresses? by ace1(m): 11:37am On Aug 16, 2012
Sun of god:

Nice 'theory' . . .

Here's some of mine:

1) The email addresses were supplied by either Seun or a Mod for a fee?

2) A 'mod' has figured out seuns login (probably something like seun123 or seun419) and had captured the info?

3) GEJ ordered a 'cyber' campaign to start discrediting nairaland?

4) Seun whilst 'sleepwalking' sent the message but upon awakening has forgoten what he did whilst asleep?

5) Israel/Mossad sent an 'internet worm' to nairaland in error?

Music/Radio / 100 Ways To Save Hip Hop by ace1(m): 11:12am On Aug 15, 2012
Saw this article online and decided to share with u guys, dunno if its already bin posted. What u think about it?

Every year, critics get together and hold a premature funeral for hip-hop. Then, people like me are forced to write articles on why hip-hop is grossly misunderstood by mainstream America. Well, guess what? I'm tired of defending hip-hop. So, rather than defend it endlessly or declare it dead, I compiled a list of things you can do to help save the genre. These suggestions apply to artists, DJs, journalists, record labels, and fans. Pick the ones that apply to you and behave accordingly. Here are 100 things you can do to save hip-hop.

Stop playing the same 5 songs on the radio.
Stop listening to radio stations that play the same 5 songs.
Stop blaming Diddy.
Stop Diddy.
Stop dubbing every new jack "the next great" this and that.
Stop charging body parts for shows.
Stop fabricating feuds to sell records.
Stop putting Lil Wayne on every song.
Stop saying hip-hop is dead.
Stop hating Kanye for being weird.
More battles, less beef.
Stop biting Jay-Z's flow.
Stop biting Biggie's ad libs.
Stop putting weed carriers on your album.
Stop trying to please everyone.
Stop leaking entire albums song by song.
Stop making posthumous collaborations.
Stop getting arrested for dumb things.
Stop being homophobic.
Stop blaming record labels.
Stop whining about how much you miss the Golden Age of hip-hop.
Stop cluttering albums with corny skits. You're not Prince Paul.
Support creativity with your wallet.
Stop making 20-song albums with 90% filler.
Stop faking the funk.
Stop calling people who disagree with you "haters."
Stop hating.
Stop kissing ass for favors.
Stop saying you miss "real" hip-hop.
Stop hating Jay-Z.
Stop saying you're carrying ___ city on your back. That's not even possible.
Stop acting too cool for school at concerts.
Stop rapping about the same three topics.
Stop rapping about UFOs.
Stop promoting sexual violence under the guise of hood reportage.
Stop defending misogyny.
Stop being a Twitter groupie.
Stop taking contrarian views for the sake of being different.
Stop hating people who disagree with you.
Stop dissing Soulja Boy.
Stop Soulja Boy.
Stop dissing people who make dance-tastic rap. It's been around forever.
Support innovative DJs.
Actually make the effort to move the crowd.
Stop radio payola.
Stop blog payola.
Push the envelope.
Stop biting.
Stop yelling on mixtapes.
Stop blaming bloggers.
Make meaningful music.
Stop obsessing over airplay (or lack thereof).
Stop showering undeserving veterans with blind praise.
Stop sleeping on unsigned talent.
Stop hopping on trends.
Stop making everything a race issue.
Stop being so gimmicky.
Stop calling everything a concept album.
Stop making tinkerbell beats.
Stop blaming skinny jeans.
Stop blaming hipsters.
Stop explaining your art.
Let your music speak for itself.
Stop playing it safe.
Invest in better artwork and packaging.
Stop promoting ignorance.
Stop burning bridges over stupid things.
Stop bragging about sales.
Stop showing up six hours late to your own shows.
Stop blaming the South.
Stop putting people in a box.
Stop tossing "classic" around.
Stop congratulating yourself on every song.
Stop trying to sell the same album twice.
Stop looking for the next 50 Cent.
Stop hating people who color outside the lines.
More rapping, less singing.
Stop wasting your budget on video hos.
Do tell me, how do you get in those jeans.
Stop getting murdered by Eminem on your songs.
Stop telling me to "bring that sh-t back!"
More improvised freestyles, less written freestyles.
More originality, less biting.
More RZA, less Bobby Digital.
More effort, less ghostwriting.
More albums, less mixtapes.
Stop using auto-tune to mask a lack of talent.
Stop making contrived girl songs.
Stop wearing obnoxious gold chains.
Stop calling everything a movement. Civil Rights = movement; Bugatti Boys = not a movement.
Stop shooting up the clubs.
Stop wearing jackets that look like LV handbags.
Stop nominating idiots for Hip-Hop Honors.
Stop handing out awards to the same 5 people every year.
Stop sending impostors to your show (I'm looking at you, DOOM).
Ban Diddy from Twitter.
Stop putting baby pictures on your album cover.
Be aware that the roof is not literally on fire.
Retire the word "swag."
Stop trying to save hip-hop. It doesn't need saving.

I'm using php and mysql database. Site visitors should be able to watch live videos on the site for free. And we're looking at a lot of viewers at the same time (millions). Would like to use less of hardware if possible.

While searching, I came across Streamhall. What do you guys think about them?

I've hosted 7 sites with syskay and so far they've been good but sometimes it takes forever before they answer calls but i don't plan to leave just yet.

ojochidem: I have hosted about 5 sites on Syskay and it have not regretted it. I also pay online but inform them of the payment by call or sms. And get my domain name ASAP.

Try contacting them before coming to a forum.

How do you order and pay online?

yawa-ti-de:
1) I think the super-sized sub menus would look better with horizontal menus
2) When I hover over "our equipment" and then hover over "contact us", the sub menu for the former doesn't go away
3) On home page, "read more" link "disappears" when you hover over it.
4) Unprofessional "under construction message (note the bolded portion)": "This page is currently being updated. Pls Check back Later"
5) Contact form not validating properly
6) In your navigation html, you have mismatched UL and LI tags

Thanks for for pointing these out especially Number 4, dats a result of too much social networking. I'll work on these observations buh pls, I'll appreciate if you can explain Number 6) a little more. Thank you

If u r aware of what's happening around d world, or a bit knowledgeable, you should be apologizing instead of displaying this high level of idiocy

yawa-ti-de:
First off, will this website be updated frequently and they prefer to do the updating? If not, then a CMS is too much, in terms of installation, etc.

If yes, then I would opt for Joomla - easier to follow and work with. and for the clients, it has a very low learning curve (for updating)

Good luck!

Yes, contents will be updated regularly and they want it in a way where registered users can upload content.

Timileyin: Well, joomla will be better for that projects, all most all the component need for this are avaliable and free, email me for more details shaa crystallinehills@yahoo.com
Thanks, can you pls tell which components I can use and where I can get Games to integrate?
Webmasters / Help Needed. Joomla Or Wordpress by ace1(m): 1:18pm On May 18, 2012
Please I need your help on which direction to go. I have been asked to design a kiddies website. The features are to include video streaming, audio streaming, interactivity (Registration, Feed back forms etc), games (integrated) and many more. Please which CMS is best for this? Between Joomla and Wordpress, which will do a better job. And, can you pls point me to a site where kiddies online games can be sourced from or bought to be integrated.

Thanks

Politics / Re: Boko Haram To N'Delta Militants: Bastards Let’s Roll Some Heads by ace1(m): 4:54pm On Oct 17, 2011
KBrown:

To say the truth, the south as a whole stands to lose more in human resources if we allow a senseless war to break out. I feel really sad when some posters (obviously from the south) talk about killing their maiguards or their street-corner mai-suyas. They seem to foolishly equate the value of the lives of these pitiful fellows with that of trained southern professionals (Doctors, Engineers, Accountants, bankers and others too numerous to mention) who reside here in the north. While most of the poor northerners in the north are responsible only to themselves, many of the southerners are bread winners and responsible for the survival of extended families down-south.

So, please, let those who have brains among the war-mongers realize that all Nigerians, north and south have one common enemy in the greedy and untouchable elite cabal that is holding everyone, including the so called government to ransom. They decide what happens to you and me daily. They decide when to have peace and when not to have with their sponsored militants. They create the news for us and tell us what to believe. Many a times have they manipulated us to castigate those whom we are supposed to praise and praise those we are supposed to stone to death.
Be wise Nigerians, let's go after the real enemies instead of fighting foolishly among ourselves.

True talk,

Anything is possible and let me add, there's nobody like Jomo Gbomo. From what i've gathered, its just the name attached 2 d Email address used by MEND. Anybody/party can hack and send messages from that email just to create confusion.
