Politics / Free Ese Oruru by Adara1(m): 8:40pm On Feb 29, 2016
If brother Joseph, a Christian from Rivers State, residing in Kano tricked Mariam, a 13 year old Muslim girl from Kano to Rivers state without the consent of her parents, converted her from Islam to Christianity, change her name from Mariam to Christiana and married her in the church before their pastors, local authorities and congregation. Then, Mariam's parent got to know their darling Mariam is no longer Mariam, she is now Christiana, a Christian married to one brother Joseph in Rivers state, where they now live happily. As parents of the little girl, they took the pain to travel from Kano, all the way to Rivers to get their daughter back, but upon getting to Rivers state , they were denied access to their 13 year old child, saying she is no longer Mariam the little girl, but now Christiana, a wife to brother Joseph whose wedding was done in the full glare of the locals. Every effort through the police and the traditional Council to get the little girl failed, and Maman Mariam had to return to Kano with tears, traumatized, yet without their dear daughter, Mariam. It's now 6 months since former Mariam turned Christiana had been married off to brother Joseph in Rivers and police said they can't do anything about it unless the traditional ruler release the girl by themselves. If this kind of news should break out in Kano, how would the people in Kano react? I mean, what would be the situation currently? Dear friends, I decided to capture the story in this manner for us to truly understand the reverse effect. We are still talking about Ese, the 13 year old girl from Bayelsa state, kidnapped to Kano by one Yusuf. The question we must ask remain as follows : 1. Who gave permission to the Yusuf, who deceitfully carried the 13 year old girl from Bayelsa state to Kano . 2. Under which law, did the local authorities in Kano married her off without the consent of her parents 3. Which religious law, permits the conversation of a minor to another religion , without the consent of her parents 4. Why did the traditional Council refuse to immediately hand over the girl to her parents, when they came for her ? 5. Why did they recognize her conversion to Islam despite knowing she is a minor? 6. Why did they recognize the so called marriage? If this free Ese campaign didn't actually break out in this manner, forcing the return of the girl, does that mean she would continue to be in Kano with the Yusuf? Sad. Let me state that, Until all those involved in this case are adequately prosecuted and punished, this matter shouldn't end with the return of the girl.

Politics / Adeleke University, Offers Scholarship To 18-year-old Raped Victim by Adara1(m): 4:51pm On Aug 16, 2015
Adeleke University Offers Scholarship To 18-year-old Rape Victim Authorities of Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State, on Saturday asserted that the institution will give scholarship to the 18-year-old admission seeker allegedly raped by a part-time lecturer of the University of Lagos, Mr. Akin Baruwa. The Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Oluwole Amusan who promulgate this to liveschoolnews grapevine said that the management was moved by the plight of the girl, who was allegedly raped in the course of her quest for a university education. . The VC said, “Giving out scholarships to indigent students is not new to us. Our founder had a foundation whose existence preceded the university, through which scholarships were given to students. “Since the university was established four years ago, the tradition has continued.” According to the VC, the scholarship would cover the four-year duration of Mass Communication, which the girl has chosen to study, a course which UNILAG has said she was not qualified for with her 211 score in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. He said it has not been determined whether the scholarship would be full or partial since he had not yet interacted with the father of the victim. With a student population of over 1,000, one fifth of Adeleke University undergraduates are on scholarship, it was learnt. The father of the alleged rape victim, told our correspondent that he had been contacted by the institution to come to the university. “I was so happy when I was contacted. May God bless you so much for seeing the case through. I am so happy. Such scholarship would be a big blessing to my daughter,” he said.
Religion / Never Give Up To Failure. by Adara1(m): 6:49pm On Aug 04, 2015
Never give up on your down fall or failure; because things can still change for good but those who give up should not expect a miracle.
The church of Roman catholic were celebrating a saint today called John Biani who always come last position in the theological school at the seminary. Among his colleague they call him olodo rabata but after a long while he discover a talent in him and make do with it, what he discover in himself is PATIENCE and giving of ADVICE to confessors on how to do away with sin, many of his colleagues and people queue to see him and as he lives he became a bishop, Pope and a saint.
I believe that everybody is needed for the growth of the society, wake up from your slumber and stop condemning yourself, there something you can do better than your mate.

Politics / No Party Can Defeat Pdp In Ondo by Adara1(m): 3:18am On Jul 15, 2015
No party can defeat PDP in Ondo – Kuku Special Adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan on Niger Delta Affairs and former Chairman, Amnesty Programme, Mr. Kingsley Kuku, has declared that no party can defeat the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State in next year’s governorship election in the state. Kuku, in an interview with journalists in Akure, the state capital, on Tuesday, also said the PDP was battle-ready to retain the seat by winning the next governorship election in the state. He said, “I want to tell you that Ondo State is a PDP state and will remain a PDP state even after (Governor Olusegun) Mimiko has left. From the beginning, any time you see PDP losing in election in this state, it will be as a result of the unresolved crisis within the party. “Look at what happened in the last general elections. We lost the Presidential election in this state because we could not resolve our internal crisis, but when we were able to settle the matter and begged one another, then see the result of the House of Assembly election. This shows if there is no crisis, no party can defeat us.” Kuku said the governorship might move to either the northern or southern senatorial district of the state, noting that the incumbent, Mimiko, is from Ondo in the central senatorial district. He believed that it would be more appropriate if the next state governor should emerge from the other two senatorial districts. “I am not saying our members from the Central Senatorial District are not constitutionally qualified to contest the election, but I think it would be much better if the governorship seat can move to either the North or South Senatorial District. You know our (incumbent) governor is from the Central Senatorial district,” he added.

Education / The Ekiti State University Architect. by Adara1(m): 6:47am On Jun 24, 2015
Ekiti State University my almamata was used to be called an advanced secondary school, due to lack of buildings, nonchallant attitude of students and staffs and ferocious activities of cultist,
This had really affect the new products and end results of the university, for instances, When student lectures are fixed for 7am and they are yet to find a lecture theater until 11am, what can we say to that? And beside some students are fond of not paying there school fees after the first year clearance and graduate while owing the University, what can we equally say to that? This and many more was a catalyst that affect the growth and development of the University at the past.
The appointment of Prof. Patrick Oladipo Aina as the Vice chancellor, Prof. Adanlawo Isaac aka Isotope as the Dean of student's and (retrd) Captain Ajayi Augustine the Chief Security Officer of the University; change the school ediface and we can see differences between Town-Gown which made us to call them architect of modern Ekiti State University,
Now the University is one of the best among comity of Universities.
As a graduate of the school who was a product of the then advance Secondary School and the newly modern University can say authoritatively that the EKSU will be the best University in Africa if there is advance continuity on the legacy laid by Prof. Oladipo Aina, to project the University image to the brim.
Some of us that are student activist always see those new policy by the architect then as an obnoxious policy because our students could not cope with it, e.g NO SCHOOL FEES NO EXAM, we fought against it which we taught we are helping the students, but now the policy has prevail.
My advise is there should be a working partnership between the management and the student, this will foster a cordial relationship that will suggest how the school look like, and the modus operandi.
Those who are seeking for admission should have this at their mind that EKSU is a place for reading not frivolity...
I am proud of my alma mata, once again i will appreciate prof. Oladipo Aina, Prof.Adanlawo Isaac aka ISOTOPE (retrd) Captain Ajayi Augustine, one of the best alumni kingsley kuku the erstwhile SA to president on Niger delta affairs and every sane mind towards the new EKSU development, God bless you all.

Politics / Buhari We Want Project That Will Have Direct Effect On The Citizen by Adara1(m): 9:03am On Jun 16, 2015
My attention has been drawn to statements credited
to the vice president, prof. Yemi Osibanjo over the
weekend that the Buhari Administration have
ongoing plans to implement one of its striking
campaign promises that it will pay N5000 each to the
poorest Nigerians across the country monthly.
This is not good for our democracy. In the interest of
the Nigerian economy, this campaign promise like
that of making 1 Naira equal to $1 and stabilizing
world oil prices be dropped.
Social welfare programmes are good but I don't think
this one is feasible, not when we dont have good
records in Nigeria, most of the very poor that would
need this policy are in deep villages and not when the
number of unemployed is more than the employed.
The Government have been complaining on spending
too much on re- recurrent expenditure, so why add
to it?
Let's assume we have 20 million poor unemployed
persons. Paying N5,000 to each person translates to
N100bn every month and N1.2 trillion per annum.
That is about 20% of our National budget .
Constructively, I would call on the government to
invest this over 20% of our budget on developmental
projects that would have much direct effects on the
citizens.
