In commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disability which is celebrated across the globe, today 3rd December, Project Enable Africa, a non-governmental organisation known for the digital empowerment and human rights advocacy for Persons with Disabilities in Nigeria unveiled 30 Most Inspiring Persons with Disability in Nigeria.

This is part of the programs designed to celebrate the 2020 edition of the NGO’S annual Disability Inclusion and Leadership (DIAL) Awards. The 30 individuals are persons with different forms of disabilities who are leading change and inspiring others.

Group of Lawyers, Concerned Patriots Front (CPF) has called on the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, and the Nigerian Police Force to begin immediate action to curb menace of fake lawyers as they are growing in their numbers.
According to the group, the call has become necessary at this time due to rise in reports received on fraudulent activities perpetrated by these fake lawyers on unsuspecting Nigerians.
The group exposing one Emmanuel Umohinyang as an example of fake lawyers, the group disclosed that “a certain Emmanuel Umohinyang and cronies of fake lawyers have established several fronts in a bid to swindle unsuspecting Nigerians one of which is the Re-elect Buhari Movement, (RBM) whose national coordinator is another Goodluck Obi, an Independent Director at the Nigerian Police Mortgage Bank.”
“Findings have however revealed that that the said Mr. Emmanuel Umohinyang has just graduated from the Department of Law at the National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) with the serial number: 231, as made available on the NOUN 2018 graduation list, with Matric Number: NOU110369681 but has not been to law school let alone graduating from one.” CPF added.
It was also gathered that Umohinyang overtime has been parading himself as an as an Aide to President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital Strategy and Civil Society, dropping the names of the President and the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris to swindle unsuspecting members of the public.
“We hereby call for the urgent intervention of the Nigerian Police Force and the Nigerian Bar Association to rescue innocent Nigerians by cracking-down these fake lawyers before they run the noble profession of law to the ground” the group noted.

The Lagos state Youth Organizing Secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Mr. Idris Aregbe has warned the gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Jimi Agbaje, to cease from blackmailing and assassinating the character of the APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He sent the strong warning while reacting to Jimi Agbaje’s campaign for ‘freedom for Lagos’ during a youth round table meeting today where he hosted hundreds of Lagos youths discussing the further development of the state.

He said “at this age and time in Nigerian politics, we can all campaign in peace without maliciously spreading falsehood about one another in a bid to create chaos in a peaceful state like Lagos.”

“I want to emphatically state here that no one is living in bondage. If you look at Lagos of today, Lagos is successfully competing with several other great cities of the world. We are enjoying all these developments today because of one selfless man and that man is Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his vision for Lagos” He added.

While further emphasizing on the development of Lagos so far, Idris Aregbe quizzed“We have also seen several PDP governors trooping to Lagos to acquire templates for governance and economic development, so tell me how are we in bondage?”

“We've seen lots of governorship candidates from other parties that have no single plan for Lagosians but will be looking for all means to dent the good image of a visionary like Asiwaju.” Aregbe recounted

While he urged youth to participate actively in the electioneering process, he also advised youths to stay away from chaos and mischief makers as they are bent on ruining the peaceful existence of Lagos state.

The Fuji lord who is still basking in the euphoria of his wedding to his wife of many years, Titi Marshal which held few weeks back acquired the powerful machine in comemoration of the union.

The new acquisition is coming a year after K1 bought himself a 40million Naira customized red Mini Coope. A source close to K1 told us the car was manufactured exclusively for him by Magnum motors (a Chicago-based auto manufacturing company) and customized by BMG in New York.
‘It’s a K1 special edition. It comes with complete mobile entertainment station, with an iPod that can take 20,000 songs and videos’. As he opens the bonnet to reveal the 5.7L V8 Hemi engine, K1 tells the camera, ‘what I like about the engine is that it makes no noise.

Summary; My car stopped on the road today in Surulere. Was stranded for 45 mins trying to diagnose and find help. A half naked MADMAN shows up and tells me what to do (go buy fuel). 15 mins later, problem solved.

Took the car to the shop for some mechanical work a few days back… As per Naija mechanic (fix one, spoil another), he spoilt the fuel gauge.

So I didn’t realise I was out of fuel (guage was still well over half, and i hadn’t driven car in days to remember proper level)After my informed diagnosis of problem elimination, I conclude that the new fuel pump that was replaced must have been fake.



Thank God I kept the old one right? Wrong! I start to struggle with the back seat of the Toyota to access the fuel pump cannister. Just to be on the safe side, I decide to try starting again. I was wearing a white dress shirt, and was already half soaked in sweat.

This guy shows up shirtless and starts to shout “Na the fuel”. Thinking it was a tout, I just ignored and continued my “work”. After 10 mins of struggling and not making headway, I step out of the car to catch my breath.

This guy starts walking to me, it was then I realised that he wasn’t a boy in the hood showing off his abs, but a middle aged man who was mentally unbalanced and destitute.

MAD MAN!I was certain today was an unfortunate day because not only was my car bad on Eric Moore Road, I was going to be accosted by a madman. He calmly walks up to me and says “Oga it’s the fuel, go and buy fuel”. I said thank you to let him leave me peacefully, and he did!A few problems here (in my mind):

1. My gauge said otherwise

2. Even if, I didn’t have a keg to buy the fuel

3. I didnt know where to buy the fuel

4. It definitely wasn’t the fuel – I now remembered that I bought a full tank less than a week, and hadn’t gone anywhere with it30 seconds later, this guy comes back with a dirty 5 litres keg with a makeshift cover made of all the nylons and “pure water” satchets he could find, and says I should “leave here and go buy fuel”.

Y’all know that in Nigeria, leave here is not an advice, it’s a warning. I decided I needed a break either ways, and I was probably in his turf. As I was flagging a bike he didn’t say a word, just looked at me like he was going to sell my car the moment I went out of view.

Today couldn’t get worse! Have you had a mad man angry at you before?Anyways, I make a quick trip to the conoil up the road, and come back. Get back to my car and the mad man was gone! Hallelujah.

Next up create a funnel out of empty plastic water bottle, I grab one bottle from the car, looking for something sharp to cut it.Couldnt find something in the car so decided to improvise. Immediately I came out the car guess who was holding an already cut bottle… Yes, this mad man.

He gives me and moves back (as you would if you gave someone something very dear to you). I was half spooked, half amused.Anyways, i pour the fuel, run the engine and the car starts on the spot as if I just drove from servicing… I couldn’t believe it.

I had reluctantly bought the fuel and wasn’t expecting it to work. Stunned i start to thank the guy and he was just smiling I reached out to thank him, but by now he was back to being mad… talking complete rubbish and point to the ground and stuff! I forced 1000 on him and left. Mad as in, kolo!Fam!

God made a mad man temporarily gain his sanity to sort me out!!!I grew up hearing my father proclaim “I can never be stranded” and “I was young and now old and never seen the righteous forsaken or his seed beg bread”… Today, those words became life.

It’s more amazing because I’m not righteous, not by a mile, but its a continuous testament of God’s love and commitment to embarrassing us with his mercy and grace!I repeat, God used a mad man to help me! Wow.

As part of efforts by Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, to ensure the safety of lives and properties in the state and its environs, the operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of Lagos State Police Command, have apprehended, one Timothy Ojomandu, 22, alleged to be a member of 3-man syndicate who hide under gridlock to attack and rob law abiding motorists around Mile 2 area in the state.



The suspect was caught in the act on yesterday, at about 19:30 hrs, by team of policemen from RRS, who responded to distress call made by the driver of Mitsubishi Canter with registration number, FKJ 676 XF, after the suspect and his gang members had successfully stolen one carton of cell battery from the truck which was fully loaded with hundreds of the cartons.
The lorry driver, Mr. Ajiboye Mogaji, who accompanied the suspect to the RRS Headquarters at Alausa, told the Police that he sighted the suspect from the side mirror of his vehicle when he sneaked-in through the back of the truck.

According to him, ‘’When I saw him sneaking-in to my truck, I pretended as if I didn’t see him.  While inside the truck, he passed one carton to his partner who was moving beside the vehicle.  As soon as I saw him passing one carton to his partner on the ground, I rushed down on motion. However, when his partner saw me alighted from the vehicle suddenly, he absconded with that one carton, and I held the suspect by his trousers when he wanted to jump down from the truck. Then, I shouted for help and the Policemen from RRS who were patrolling the area responded swiftly to the distress call”.
He further thanked the Policemen for coming to his rescue at the appropriate time before the suspect could escape.
Confirming the arrest, the Commander of the RRS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Olatunji Disu, said, “Some RRS riders who were on patrol routine around that axis, was informed by the truck’s driver about the incident, and the suspect was arrested and conveyed to the Rapid response  headquarters immediately”.
The suspect, who confessed to the crime, said that he was just being recruited into the group about two months ago.
“Our robbery syndicate was in the habit of stealing handsets and other valuables from pedestrians and motorists during the peak period of traffic congestion along the area. I was a bus conductor before Victor Chibowu, our gang leader, introduced me to the act of theft. On the fateful day, I, Victor and Richard went to Mile 2, looking for our would-be victims. On getting to the spot, we saw one truck fully loaded with cell batteries heading towards Ijora, and it was held up in the traffic. I now got the opportunity to enter inside the truck from behind. I succeeded in removing one carton of the battery and passed it to my partner walking beside me, and in the process to pass another one, the driver showed up and held me tight by my trousers before he handed me over to the Police but my other colleagues were able to run away with one carton of the battery”, he confessed.
