Payment not working? happened to my friend last week. Try using internet explorer as the browser to pay.

if it doesn't work, try paying at the submission centre. Though you still ave to use their own computer there.

sleyflash:
Yeah I have paid for the application and now I am limited to ikeja appointment. All that is left is to make payment for the added value service (super priority).
But I'm still trying with my dollar card

Got my visa today.

Timeline:

Submission & interview 18th of August. - Paid Priority at Ikeja
Sheffield ECO email on Monday the 21st.
Didn't hear anything till I called UKVI on the 5th of September, they told me a decision had been made.
Got TLS Decision mail yesterday, Monday the 12th of Sept.
Got collection email yesterday at about 4pm.

Picked up at 11am today.

When I held the DHL package, I felt a folded letter inside and assumed the worst; turned out to be a letter confirming BRP collection.

Good luck to everyone still expecting theirs.

I wonder why mine isn't out too.

Called UKVI last week Tuesday and they told me a decision had been made since the week before.

Submitted 18th of Sept; paid for priority. 18 working days now.

I guess its TLS that's wasting time. Hoping for today or tomorrow; its been too long.

Hi, Congrats. was it a UK or Nigerian Number that was used to ring you?

Missed a call this morning and I'm wondering who it might have been. Its a Nigerian landline number starting with 236.

Tried to ring them back but it never went through.

Hi guys,

I've been following this thread for a while now without commenting. It has been a very informative and educating experience. Although I did my biometrics before I discovered the thread ( I wish I had found it earlier though).

Well, I just picked up my documents and bellow are the details of my process.

service used: Standard

Application submitted: 10 July

Biometrics and interview: 12 July

Documents sent to Sheffield for Decision: 14July

email from Sheffield ECO for document preparation for Decision: 20 July

Missed a call from UKVI presumably for second interview (didn't know they were the ones calling): 14 August

Called Home office to escalate delay: 15 August

Missed two other calls from UKVI (calls ended before I could take them): 18 August
NB: I Seriously started freaking out at this point

checked the UK visa link and Decision Made on 19 August: 21 August

Received Decision and Collection emails from TLS: 24 August

Reluctantly picked up Documents: 25 August

DECISION: VISA GRANTED.

Now I can sleep easy.

Good luck to those yet to get their decision. And thank you guys for the updates and advice you keep sharing on the thread.

HOW CONVENIENT FOR YOU TO TRY TO JUSTIFY ILLEGALITY AND EVEN TRYING TO HOODWINK FOLKS HERE BY SAYING THE RULES WERE WRITTEN IN THE PAST TENSE FORMAT.

YOU DECIDED TO IGNORE THE PART OF THE RULE WHICH SAYS THE MAINTENANCE MONEY MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR USE WHILE IN THE UK.

Please, my brother/sister: Stop propagating illegality and misinformation here.

Thank you.

Calm down bro, there's nothing for him/her to gain from misleading people. They are talking from their own personal experience which I think is valid. There are always different perspectives to things.

I paid for Priority Access, Submitted my application at the centre in Abuja on 3rd August, it was sent to sheffield that same day but, decision is yet to be made. So what i think is paying for Priority Access means that your application will be pushed to the front from the centre however, (Correct me if I am wrong) I dont think the Officers in Sheffield will leave other applications to attend to yours. Premium Access might be different tho. Also Remember that this is Summer, so many people are travelling

NOT good.

I guess I'd be saving my money in that case. I dunno why these visa submission centre guys can't just request for more hands on deck from the ECO during peak periods such as this. After charging so much for the visa as well. smh.

I hope your visa comes out real soon!

Question1:

Okay.
@Ikeja priority 184+ visa application fee 330 = Total is 514

Please Am I correct?

You need to factor in the Immigration Health Surcharge.

It's £150 a year (but cos you have an extra 4 months at the end of your visa, they add an extra £75)

So for everything, it's £225 + £330 + (£184 if you wanna do priority)

Comes to £739 I believe.
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Ademuyiz(m): 8:22pm On Aug 09, 2017
Costs £184

See the page below:

Question1:
Quick one please..

What is the cost of the priority fee at Ikeja VAC?
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Ademuyiz(m): 4:58pm On Aug 09, 2017
I plan to use priority too and i want an answer to this question, but it appears nobody has used priority recently.

Question1:
Hi everyone,
Please has anyone purchased priority at Ikeja VAC and got decision on time, because the people have seen so far used standard at both Ikeja and Abuja.
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Ademuyiz(m): 6:59pm On Aug 08, 2017
Asked this before but just asking again before I take the plunge.

Has anyone used priority service recently? If you have, please, how many days did yours take to get a decision?

I am submitting next week and I really want to know if they will comply with the 3-5 working days as stated or if it will take the normal time. I don't want to waste my £190 if it will take the normal processing time.

Finally, can you pay for priority at the submission centre? If I can, that would be brilliant cos I can ask them how long it takes these days before making payment right there.

Swift replies appreciated.

Hi everyone please if you go with a letter of consent and bank statement as a prove of maintenance will you be asked to submit it and secondly if the statement is ready n the person has removed the cash from the acct is it an issue.

I have applied 2 times in the past for tier 4 student visa with the money out of my account after the 28th day and It has been successful on both attempts. The statement is valid for use for a month from the date of printing.

In my opinion and that of many others, the ECO just want to know you can keep such an amount for 28 days consecutively (which is actually difficult to do). If you have a statement to prove this then you're fine.

I am speaking from personal experience; other people might know better.

depends on the volume of booked appointments but you can get available slots from the next day after submission. when i submitted mine, the next day up to about 30 days were available for me to pick from.

Amazing, thanks. What was the processing time of your application?

I hope to do the priority service but I don't trust the 3-5 day turnaround time quoted on their website. What are your thoughts?

For example how many days from the day of online submission will an appointment date be available?

Swift reply appreciated, thanks.

Hi guys, Quick question.

I'm applying with my family for a visitor visa to Canada, and there's just one of the forms I don't really understand. It's the "Statutory Declaration of common law union".

Is this a required document? Do I just fill it in and get it notarised?, or submit my certificate of marriage?

I plan to submit on Tuesday so a quick response will be highly appreciated.

I'm trying to fill the online NYSC form but Lagos is not among the list of states I am able to choose. is there any reason for this? or is there anything I can do to make the option of Lagos appear?

A swift response would be appreciated.

Since when does schools in the UK begin to check your accounts? As much as I would not advise the OP to touch that money for reasons other than what it was originally meant for, you're misleading the public and causing undue panic. Chill guys, nobody check your accounts once you're in UK, NOBODY.

Hi guys,

Please has anyone here withdrawn money from their account after their interview but before a decision was made?

Is the UKVI authorised to verify the amounnt left in someone's account?

Yes, you can by all means take out of the money you have deposited in your account after you have submitted. I transferred back the money I used for my 28 days count back to my dad immediately I submitted. All the UKVI wants to know is if you can keep such amount untouched for 28 days, after that, whatever you do with the money isn't their business.

It's not stated anywhere in the guide that you shouldn't touch the money after submitting. The only disadvantage of doing that is, if you are refused for any other reason, you will have to start counting from the start again since you tampered with the amount.

The only thing you shouldn't do wrong is submit a false bank statement. No bank is under an obligation to divulge your account balance to an embassy. The statement is proof enough.

Am thinking of sending the UK immigration people a mail directly as I feel the TLC's in nigeria are beginning to drive towards the incompetence lane in these deadline hours. There's no actual email address, you can drop them a message at https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-outside-uk

They usually reply within 24 hours, sometimes faster. 18th is just 5 working days ago, there's no need to have mental stress regarding this. Give them time. Lol

Please I am having difficulties paying for my visa because of the new daily transaction limit of $300. I need alternative ways of making payments. Urgent help needed

For banks such as Standard chartered and First bank, (and I think GTB) the limit on online transactions is 1 million naira plus. Try paying with another card. It's only overseas ATM withdrawals that have the $300 limit.

Hello everyone.

I want someone to shed more light on this pls.

I am going for Msc and I have made the first payment of tuition fees £7636 and i was issued a CAS. So far I still have to pay the remaining balance of £3817 by January.
Now i have N2.5M in my account for my living expense ( I'm still counting for the 28 days) , and someone told me that I must put the N2.5M + £3817 (before printing out the bank statement) . If not my visa will be refused.

BTW my course start date is 21 sept, and final enrollment date is 5 oct.

I'm so worried and confused, pls how can go about this cry

Your best option would be to pay the balance of your school fees to your school as soon as you can, so they can reflect in your CAS that you owe £0 in tuition fees. That would leave the N2.5M in your account sufficient for your application. If you put in an extra 1.5m into your Nigerian bank account to boost the amount, you would have to start counting the 28 days from the start again, and wouldn't make your school start date of the 21st.

Abeg, there's no point going to the collection centre if you haven't got the email inviting you to come collect. I was at the V.I collection centre today, sat in a long queue and then queued again upstairs. I had gotten the decision email since Saturday (but not the collection one). The guy at the counter simply tracked my application and said "it's not ready". That was all.

If I had got the email, I could have at least argued that I was told to come, but I just wasted my time going there today. I guess I was just really curious to know the outcome because time is very vital in situations like these.

Nope, it's not a problem. I booked a virgin atlantic flight online last year, missed out my middle name but everything was fine. Your first and last name would suffice. I'm not entirely sure about other airlines, though.
