Hello Adesanmiprince,

It sounds like he's in the renewal process right now and will learn more by going to his interview?

Regards,
Abuja NIV Team
Thank u sir. He went for the interview today and was told to come back for his passport in 3 months to time. Why would it take such a long period of 3 months pls ? Is he going to undergo an AP ?
Thanks

Good day my consular and hope u had a good weekend. Thanks for all u do here
My friend has a visiting visa from 2014 and will expire this June
When he applied for the visa, he told them he intend to spend 1 month, but when he arrived the US, he spent 5 months and he returned back.
While he arrived the US, he visited a school and he was offered an admission, and he applied to change status to student visa, but when he didn't hear back from the change of status application and he was almost running out of time, he had to return back to Nigeria so as not to stay out of status. Few weeks after he arrived Nigeria, he was told that his change of status was not approved that probably maybe it was because he abandoned it and returned back to Nigeria.
Now, his visa will expire in June, but he applied for a drop box renewal last 2 weeks, and he was called to come for an interview.
In this case now, what's his fate sir ?
My own concerns are: spending 5 months instead of the intended 1 month, trying to change status from b1 to F1, and thirdly, he still has 6 months on his visa, why applying for renewal so early.
Can you pls shed lite on this pls ? And could he get his visa renewed ?
Thanks

Pls advice a friend.
He got a 2 years visit visa in 2014 and to expire in June 2016. When he applied for the visa, he said he will spend a month in the US, and on getting to the US, he ended up spending 5 months before returned back to the US, and while he was there in the US, he applied to a school and he was offered an admission, he tried to change his status to F1 visa but when he didn't get a response for the change of status, and he was running to spend 6 months, he had to quickly return home so as not to stay out of status. however, during this period while in the US, he engaged in some menial jobs ( although no issues came up )
Now, his visa is due to expire in June 2016, he applied for a dropbox renewal last week, and unfortunately he was called to attend an interview at the embassy next week Monday.
I personally told him that, to me, he already has 4 offences; (1) that he spent 5 months during the visit instead of the intended 1 months, (2) that he tried to change his status from visiting to student visa, and (3) that he engaged in some menial job ( although the embassy might not figure that out ) and (4} that he tried to renew his visa 6 months before expiry and why such and urgency,n but items (1) and (2) above are my concerns
Now, what could he his fate at the interview with the above case?
Thanks

Even you, deep within you, you also know your intention there.otherwise, why don't u run your programme here in Nigeria. You see, that is the issue with we Nigerians, u try to maneuver your way, and now be preaching the gospel to others. Its horrible

i will let you watch the movie, feel the goose bumps (if you know what it feels like) then think and answer it.

Same goes to others who deceive their way to getting visas

na wa ooo
You won't be the first neither the last.
You are already making a big mistake and slumping yakata on a hard ground just like many like you on this forum who have towed or currently towing your same pattern of intentions.

The truth is if you dishonestly and with cruel intent deceitfully obtain any form of residency or citizenship go and ask and do research 85% of such people in the long term are not better off in every facet of the American life or dream.

The remaining 15% on the surface seem to be temporarily "enjoying" it until they join the former.

Be wise!!!
By the way I pray Donald Trump becomes POTUS come November!!!!!
By the way, will Donald Trump now say I will not qualify to have a GC if I marry my US citizen gf ?
Will he bring that law ?
To be very frank with you, what Donald Trump is saying about deporting all illegal immigrants in the US if he wins won't be possible. If he does that, assuming it works sef, the US economy will crush big time. There would be a serious impact on the US economy negatively and would shrink the US economy by 6% or $1.6 trillion
There are about 11.3 million illegal immigrants in the US now, and report have said it that it will cost the US $114billion to deport them.
Even, I want to tell u that the whole American citizen will not allow it. Many of these Americans are even too used to these illegal immigrants. You remember in 2010 in Arizona when they made a law that the police in Arizona should verify the legal status of anyone they are suspecting to be illegal in that state, do u remember what happened ? Do u remember how the Arizona american rejected and protested this ?
So, forget it, it can't just work out like that. The america economy is strengthened by the 11.3m illegal immigrant in the US and Donald plan will rather shattered the US economy and I'm sure even an average american won't allow it ever.
