Objectives of the training: This training programme is an intensive technical and practical one aimed at equipping the participants with the skills of catfish breeding to assist in improving their technical know-how.

 Stripping of female catfish (brood stock)
 Spawning
 Incubation of eggs and hatching
 Extraction of pituitaries for injection
 Larva rearing techniques
 Transfer of larvae
 Conditioning for brood stock

 Sorting, counting and harvesting techniques for catfish seedlings
