Our Client, A Civil Engineering firm within Ajao Estate Axis of Lagos State is urgently seeking to hire an experienced Civil Engineer who will be responsible for managing, designing, developing, creating, and maintaining her construction projects

Job Summary:
• Design, plan, and oversee the construction of new Structures and Highways, or alterations and extensions to existing properties or other structures
• Supervision of the day-to-day activities of site work.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Responsible for day-to-day site work.
• Liaise with subcontractors to ensure that work is been carried out as per design drawings, specification & and meeting planned dates in
the schedule.
• Interact with the project manager for clarification and design.
• Daily reporting about progress, non-conformances, and delays in work to the Project Manager
• Conduct regular job site inspections.
• Actively monitor the work environment for hazards.
• Identify and highlight possible risks on projects.
• Assist in necessary project documentation
• Keep inventory of the job site and ensure that supplies are properly maintained.
• Coordinate and verify extra claims raised by subcontractors.
• Making calculations about loads and stresses.
• Selecting appropriate construction materials.
• Solving problems and providing technical advice.

Type: Full time

Qualifications:
A). Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
B). Minimum of Three (3) years post-service experience.
C). Basic proficiency in the use of Basic MS Office support and applications
D). Knowledge of Auto CAD is compulsory.

• Calculating the pressures, stresses and strains that each component, such as a beam or lintel, will experience from other parts of the structure due to human use or environmental pressures such as weather or earthquakes;
• Considering the strength of various materials, e.g. timber, concrete, steel and brick, to see how their inclusion may necessitate a change of structural design;
• Liaising with other designers, including architects, to agree on safe designs and their fit with the aesthetic concept of the construction;
• Examining structures at risk of collapse and advising how to improve their structural integrity, such as recommending removal or repair of defective parts or rebuilding the entire structure;
• Making drawings, specifications and computer models of structures for building contractors;
• Investigating ground conditions and analyzing results of site tests, such as soil samples;
• Liaising with construction contractors to ensure that newly erected buildings are structurally sound;

Job Summary:
Developing structural designs, details and fabrication/installation drawings for various projects using CAD soft wares.

Responsibilities & Duties:

 Producing reinforced concrete detail work, detail drawings for pile caps, ground beams suspended floor slabs, slab bases, surface water
drainage, general GA & details work including site surveys.
 Create Fabrication drawings and Erection diagrams.
 Create Drawing packages for Clients.
 Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
 Prepare bending schedules for designs.
 Liaise with other design team members to ensure design documents are completed according to deadlines.
