Hell guys, IELTS score came in with a 5.0 in Reading while others are above 6.0. Hull says they want at least 5.5 in each and a minimum band score of 6.0. My own band score is 6.5.
So Do I have a chance or I should just forget it? I have submitted it though but yet to hear from them. Anyone that has been here before? |

Hello, I don’t know if you are trying to contribute or asking for yourself. But the situation with me is we are not married and we don’t live together. Hope a consent letter from him that is notarized is good for the embassy. ariyike23:
Did her children’s father have visitation rights ? I mean after she was granted custody ? |

Thank you so much for your response, will work on this. Cyberknight:
Someone else can pay your tuition for you, but not from Nigeria through the Form A process.
What I know about the custody process comes from a situation where the parents got divorced and formal custody of the children was awarded as part of that process. However, to the best of my knowledge, if you and your child(ren)'s father were never married, then its a bit trickier as you will have to show that you have sole responsibility for the child(ren), which can be done through showing they live permanently at your address, you pay for their upkeep (even though she had a formal custody order my cousin sent in evidence of school fees payment from her account, got a letter from her HMO, things like that).
So the best I can say is to get the notarised consent letter and attach any paperwork of the above type that you have. |

Good morning all, please help on this. Can I use another persons account to pay my tuition deposit. I want to use union bank but I do not have an account there, can I use an account of someone I know? I am sponsoring myself and will be using my account for POF. Hope using someone’s account for tuition deposit won’t cause any issue? |

Thanks for your prompt response. Please do you know how to go about the full custody letter? Also I will like to ask, can I use another persons account to pay my tuition deposit. I dont think there are specific rules about the consent letter per se, but I remember my cousin did one once and she and her ex simply got it notarised and all that, which doesn't cost anything much, so you might as well do it. It might be overkill, but that doesn't count in the larger scheme of things.
The consent letter from your child(ren)'s father in this case is different in that he is neither married to or partnered with you, so it must be accompanied by valid evidence of the fact that you have sole custody of the child(ren). |

Please I will like to ask how did you work on the consent letter. Did you just type and sign or did you go to the court to do anything with it before submission. I am a single mother and want to get a consent letter from my daughters dad, he I willing but I want to know what is applicable. Thanks Ykaa:
Apologies for the late response.
1. Yes, I used the same POF for everyone that I applied for at the same time. I ensured the total amount in the bank account was enough.
2. I provided consent letters for the children. I did not travel with the children to the UK. My spouse travelled with them. However, consent letters from "both parents" must be added to the visa applications of minors regardless of whether yo.
3. I submitted all the applications at about the same time. For some weeks before the submission, I was editing all the applications simultaneously. So when it was time to submit, there was little to add to all the applications and I was able to submit them about the same time.
I hope this helps.
Best Wishes |

@Justwise Adexcube007: Hello Everyone,
please help with this question. I am a single mother that wants to apply for a visa with my daughter. I am going to the University of Hull and I have gotten my unconditional offer. What documents do I need to get to show that I am a single mother and for me to get a visa for my daughter? Sole physical custody or sole legal custody or a consent letter? I have been the one taking care of her but I can contact her dad to get anything I want to make this happen but I need to know what I need.
Kindly help, please. |
