Thank you so much sis, God bless you.

Child dependants can use either of their parents' accounts as long as there's a birth certificate that proves the relationship. All you need to so is to ensure that the children are stated on your husband's application as his dependants too.

Good morning everyone, I am currently in the UK, I am trying to apply for my husband and kids now. The POF is in my husband's account, I want to know how I would link the POF to my kids.

I already kept the bank name and all for my husband, should I do the same for my kids too?

Thanks as I await your responses.

Thanks alot sir

Your husband (dependant) will not be limited to a number of hours to work he can do “unlimited” but he will need to get National Insurance NI number before he can work. Regardless of when he join you, he will need to book an appointment to obtain NI before he can work legally.

Thank you so much for this response. I would want to ask a question. I am the one going to Study in Scotland, my question is, if we apply together, (my husband and two kids ages 3 and 5), would my husband automatically get 40hrs per week work permit as a tier 4 dependant? Also, if we apply separately, (I apply first to receive my decision before they apply), would he still be eligible for the work permit? Thanks

solarinde:

I travelled first before my wife joined me, but we applied at the same time. This was to make accommodation plans ready before she come around. I travelled as a first timer when I traveled. It is good to plan yourself well. Will not suggest hotel as there are studio accommodation with bills PCM cheaper than hotel.
When the main applicant travel before their dependants (spouse/child), no documents are required to be sent to them. Dependants just need to apply to joining their partner, your post code where you live in the UK will only be needed so they can include that in the application as where they will be living when they join you. Also the border force might ask them “where are you going “.
To answer the 3rd question. Be sincere with yourself, decide what you want because you will fill it in your application “Are you travelling with any dependants “. I advise you apply together, when your visa is approved, you can travel alone to make accommodation preparations before your dependants join you, but it must be between 30days because vignettes (permission to enter )expires in 30days after visa is approved. Hope this make sense?

when did you apply to GCU? I also applied to GCU, I submitted my application of the 17th of June, and received a mail from them on the 22nd of June, stating my Student ID, and informing me that my application is in process, they also apologized for the delay in the application decision. Ever since then, I havent heard from them.
Maybe we should send a mail to them at <applications@gcu.ac.uk>

You guys could check out University of Stirling in Scotland, 4000 pounds scholarship immediately you're being offered admission (conditional or unconditional), 2000 pounds tuition fee deposit, and you can pay the balance monthly for up to 12 months or per semester. Depending on your choice.

which of them doesn't require deposit?

Please i need advice in these areas.

Can i use a joint account with a friend for my visa application.

I got an offer in Public Health at Glasgow Caledonian University and Global Health at University of Glasgow. Which would you advice i go for.

Is there a difference between public health and global health in job wise.

Am not expected to pay any deposit beforw receiving my CAS in one of d offer, do you think this will affect my visa process?

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Thank you so much for your response, i am glad to have read this from you. I would be able to receive the deposit from Northumbria less 150 pounds admin fee. Thank you for your advice on the course as well..

I'd appreciate more responses, so that I can make a fast decision, as well as the best decision for my family. Thanks

mimilyrics:
1. Have you read the refund policy for Northumbria?
Hope you know that you wouldn't be entitled to a refund if you choose to study at another school. Are you willing to let go off your deposit? If you can find a way to get your deposit refunded (slim chance), the 50-100% scholarship option at GCU sounds good but getting the scholarship is a probability that might or might not happen so you'd need to evaluate your options and pick the one with less overall risk.

2. Not all parts of London are unsafe but I understand your worries. Glasgow is a "safer" environment compared to London; I've got friends who moved there from London and they swear by the bible that it's a whole lot saner. Their kids also prefer it to London and refuse to come to London except they have no other option.

3. The PSW will include graduates of all UK universities when it starts as scheduled next year and Scotland is part of the UK so you'd benefit from it irrespective of what part of the UK you school in.

4. Pls pick MSc Accounting and Finance as it will give you more leverage if you're looking at being in paid employment right after your course. Social innovation is better suited to entrepreneurial pursuits or when you're a bit higher up and more settled in your professional path. It was one of my modules and it was more like an external component of my entrepreneurship module.

I spoke with the student advisor in Northumbria in respect to the refund and I was told that I would be able to receive the deposit fee less 150 pounds administrative fees.
Thank you so much for this response, I really appreciate you. Please where can i check the skills shortage list? Thanks
Dwebb55:

Scotland is a lovely place to school in and Glasgow is one of its major cities. You would be able to apply for the 2 years post study visa if you graduate with your MSc there.

With regards to the course, I really do not have any clue but others might be more able to assist in that regards. For your husband, you might look up availability of jobs online for his line of work experience to know how marketable the city of Glasgow is! Others can also fill you in with regards to NU.

Another factor to consider is if you will be able to get a full refund for your deposit but if you are getting a scholarship, it might help with your fees. Please check the skills shortage list to know if accounting is good to study as well.

Hello everyone, I am in a state of confusion at the moment, and i know that I can be helped here.
Here's the thing, i got an offer to study Business and Financial Management from Northumbria University London Campus, I already made my deposit payment since February, as the admission was for May before I deferred to September. I have my funds in my account (school fees balance + living cost). The issue is that I would love to go with my husband and kids as tier 4 dependants (my husband has the three of them living expenses in his account) because we plan on starting afresh over there and all.

Here's my confusion, I have been having a second thought about London due to the expensive lifestyle and the fact that i heard that London is not so safe to raise a family and all, so I decided to search for other schools and then found Glasgow Caledonian University in scotland and i also discovered that I could be eligible to receiving 50 to 100% scholarship due to my CGPA.. I would love to know if schooling in Scotland and more specifically, schooling in GCU is a better decision in comparison to Northumbria? Also, hope I would be eligible for the 2 years post grad work permit if I school there? Lastly, is the course SOCIAL INNOVATION a good course or I should simply stick to Msc in Accounting and Finance (i currently hold a Bachelors degree in Accounting)

Thank you so much as I await your responses @Lagosismyhome, @justwise.. and everyone. Thanks
