Phones / Re: Microsoft To Dump Nokia And Windows Phone Brands by Aerokin: 2:16am On Sep 15, 2014
Bryan12: Why can't microsoft just focus on O.S and softwares? And leave mobile phone manufacturers to do their thing?

Wake up and smell the coffee my friend. Look at the world around you. What do you think this mobile OS and design style war is about? It's about technological miniaturization, integration, innovation, and synergy. The days of bulky desktops and laptops is coming to an expected close and the process that you see is what will bring it to fruition.

Microsoft knows better.

The merging practices in technology brands today is usually done out of thorough brainstorming. The Windows logo has remain Microsoft's strength and identity. So what they are saying this time is, "We will remain Windows whether as a 3.5 to 7.0 inch devices or as a 11.0 to 15.6 inch tab (that's if in the future you find tabs that large). But trust me, Lenovo, HP, LG, and Samsung, especially, already know where the road ahead leads and even the weakest among them are vertically positioning themselves for a good chunk of the global market share.

Whether its for a corporate worker, a freelancer, a young teenage student, one language that remains common all over the world today is: mobile.

You've got to be mobile compliant to win. And you must be functional and stylish enough to remain in the game. Nokia had their last bite just like the proverbial Sendo, Sagem, Acartel, NEC, etc.

If Lenovo ever succeeds with this buy-in, be sure that its because they complied to the 22nd century rules. And Microsoft knows better that Lenovo might.

#My take.
