Very lame, is the leg issue peculiar to Honda alone?
and please show me where two car companies put two of their cars on a race track to determine which is faster, I am waiting.
for you to race two cars successfully you an empty road where you can drive for at least 1hr without running into other incoming cars.

like I said if he can tell me road around Lagos where we can race both cars for 45mins without stopping then I am in, and for your information the fact that he help someone to sell cars along airport road doesn't mean he knows jack about automobile.
[s]it's funny how you lot think that Avalon can stand E350 stability and handling at high speed, lol that Avalon will flip several times.[/s]
just admit it, you have little knowledge of automobiles and handling capabilities of cars.

The 2006 -2009 E500 W211 make 388hp, isn't that too much for Avalon that make 268hp?

Even a 2006 E500 W211 will make a 2010 Avalon look stupid, please don't put that beast and Avalon in same page.

You European car fans underestimate the average Japanese cars so much so that you guys say a lot of ignorant and funny things. Well, I am not concerned about racing on Nigerian death trap called highways. I'm concerned about my loved ones and their wellbeing.

Besides, hope you aren't using the kompressor to judge cos that machine is slow after 160km/hr.had to give it out after 3 months of use

Easy on the speed bro. That's what made me lose my E500. Car hit a deep pothole damaged the front tyres, air suspension and engine oil sump. It lost control went airborne n crashed badly. All airbags deployed but I walked away with a bleeding nose.

Learn to choose your fights wisely. It's a Benz doesn't make it faster than an Asian car.

This is coming from the owner of a C230 kompressor W203 who owned an E500 W211.

[s]Guy... is everything about certification? Common sense over certification in this case. The town planners need to be fired... I'm very sure they are qualified for the job on paper. What does your common sense tell you about these wide medians?...do you even have an opinion?
@ topic..... with the volume of traffic....common sense should dictate make as many lanes as possible and if a median is necessary..it should never be as wide. And we still wonder why soooo many of our degrees are useless abroad[/s].

I don't need to be a doctor or hold a phd in biological science to know that extreme heat is bad for the human body.
The OP merely highlighted how roundabout caused gridlock and how reducing the SIZE of median strip MAY also have the same effect.
They does seem to be merit in that idea[/s]

To conclude on some thing hastily that's scientifically proveable. Highway designs and construction is a very delicate and sensitive and highly specialized job. It takes years of education and practice to excel in it and then be called to design a city circulatory grid. The designer of that highway had paid his dues. It's not nice for a random person to come up and rubbish his work online.

You're not an Urban and Regional planner, you are not a highway planner/designer/surveyor/engineer, you are not an authority in urban circulatory networks you haven't carried out proper research on what makes these roads experience delays, your write up is based on mere say and here-say which isn't objective, not factual and isn't scientifically proven, and don't bridge knowledge gap and can't proffer solutions to the challenges posed.

Consult a qualified town planner who's a highway specialist to explain better.

Cheers!

Career / Re: 5 Reasons It Is Better To Work In Lagos Than Abuja by afangsoup: 12:05pm On Mar 22, 2018
I worked in a ministry in Abuja before taking up a better appointment in Eket, and I've visited Lagos a couple of times. Abuja is the most decent city to work and live in as far as Nigeria is concerned.

1. Basic facilities utilities and services are abound and within easy reach.

2. No traffic gridlock. This makes for remarkably less time lost in transiting from point A to B.

3. Decent accommodation for all class of people.

4. Saner work environment. Cos the city is well planned and the plan is adhered to the built environment space requirement for work is better defined.

5. Cheaper transport. All thru when I was working in Abuja I never for once paid more than 300 for drop within the city.

6. Nightlife is fun and to a great extent you feel safer in Abuja even at night than anywhere else where a police rogue or street urchin could suddenly harass you.

7. Job opportunities are also abound in Abuja if you keep your eyes opened.

You're def a fool...

To even face me and say rubbish.

Firstly, they sold me a car without custom paper... I asked for custom papers before making payment but they said papers will be brought out after I pay...

After payment, story changed... they didn't know it didn't have papers... pay extra 60k for the papers...

Engine is almost dead...

Gear is almost dead...

And so on...

So you in your shallow mind believe cars45 wrote these things on their report for me and I bought the car?

In short, you're a bastard to even defend what's not defendable...
This was the exact story they told me only that in my case it was some of the original registration particulars. Then some online nonentities Will be insulting me and talking nonsense just because here is an anonymous online forum.

Naija used cars with wrong oil, tiny plugs irrespective of number, thermostat removed, fan permanently on, air filter clogged, using seahorse as gear oil, using abro for power steering fluid, using winter tyes and all season tyres on the same car and when the end result is giving the owners nightmare, they look for a place to sell. The used car dealers will put the car in their shop for months telling them that no buyer o and will be using the car in the meantime adding 6 litres all the time thus ruining the nozzles. Then after 3 months of waiting, the owner because he has been made carless, decides to sell the car and get his money instantly. Cars45 will evaluate and pay the seller instantly and will advertise the same car without repairing the defects, documenting all the pros and cons. Their strong online presence made afangsoup(now 4 days old soup) to leave his base to buy from their yard. That is the state of naija used cars and that is why we should make everyone follow the owner's manual for proper maintenance because our friends or relations might buy these crappy cars as their first car.

I should ignore you since you lack objectivity in your comments and you do not speak as an intelligent being.
I refused to be dragged to your levels.

@helpishere, I did an underground search and i discovered previous owner was an offshore engineer. i called him and he told me he bought that car himself in usa, he used it and shipped it here he serviced it with mobil 1 and fusch personally. he gave it to his brother when he was relocating back to usa. back in akwa ibom, my mech is competent and i still get advices from kingreign. now you see you're a busy lice.

No wonder you are seeking for a pound of flesh. It is the reason why we need to sit up and pass the information around. A Mercedes compressor is a supercharged version and so it does not tolerate our fuel and coupled with the 20w50 oil, the engine will pack up followed by the gear. It is glaring that the previous owner having destroyed his car thru his stinginess quickly offloaded the car on them and the new buyer had to rectify what the previous buyer did. Is it cars45 error of judgement buying such a car? Now you are crying fraud and you are not taking any initiative to stem the root cause of why naija used cars are crappy. The oil, the plugs and the many ignorance of the practitioners in the field. If your mechanic could not detect sludge in that engine before allowing you to pay, then he is the Uyo version of kazeem. And you are blaming cars45 for buying the car in that dismal state and selling in that same state. I think they should engage good mechanics as their consultants to verify cars before they purchase it from the owners. Go to the housing estate on the road to Ibom hotel and tell the woman there to give you correct afang soup and not the 2 days own wey you call yourself. I go pay

I SAY THIS, CARS45 are scam and dishonest. i wanted buying a c class and called kingreign but he was busy so i left akwa ibom to lagos with my mechanic, we saw an ad of a 2005 c230 kompressor and called its seller who took us to their ikeja office adjacent mobil station. saw the car, my mechanic wasn't able to scan or drive it reasons known to the cars45 staff who wore their id card. the car was clean inside out we asked for papers they said the paper was avialable and after payment we were given the document which i didnt check due to my being late. we started driving and towards berger ojodu its engine knocked. we towed it to ladipo got new engine only for the mechanic to tell me they brought that same car to him and he adviced them to replace the engine and gearbox as the gear stops selecting when its hot. long and short i replaced both engine and transmission. only to discover they only gave me some copies of the car papers and not all. i spent 480k to put that car and its document back in shape.

I use an LG3 D850 AT&T variant with 3gb ram and 32gb internal. its 4g network capable. i love the 2k screen resolution and the laser optical camera. i love its audio output. its got a 5.5" screen yet it doesnt feel bulky to hold. what i dislike is it drains battery due to its 2k resolution. will i get another LG, yes if its up to my spec.
