The Ndokwa West (LGA) Legislative Arm has congratulated the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his emergence as the governorship flag bearer of the PDP in Delta State, for the 2023 general elections, pointing out that the Speaker has demonstrated genuine leadership qualities.

The legislative arm equally commended Prince Ned Nwoko, for his emergence as the Delta North senatorial candidate, Nnamdi Ezechi, for Ndokwa/Ukwuani federal constituency and, Hon. Charles Emetulu for Ndokwa West state constituency.

In a press release signed by the leader of the house, Hon. Ndubuisi Okoloafor and made available to journalists in Kwale, noted that the emergence of Prince Ned Nwoko was a manifestation of his years of personal commitment, sacrifice, political experiences and services to the people.

The legislative arm expressed confidence that the PDP standard bearer for Ndokwa/Ukwuani federal constituency, Hon. Ezechi has the qualities, acumen and capacity to mobilize support across the length and breath of the consistency to give the ruling party a resounding victory at the forthcoming general elections.

The lawmakers also expressed optimism that when eventually re-elected as member representing the Ndokwa West constituency, Hon. Emetulu will bring to bear his vast wealth of experience and grassroots network to attract more democratic dividends to the people.

Politics / Lawan Charges Lawmakers To Be Committed To Nigerian’s Political System by AFIMAGOG(m): 10:44pm On Jun 16, 2022
President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has called on lawmakers to stay committed to the country’s political system despite the outcome of the just concluded primaries.

The Senate President made this known while welcoming members of the upper chamber back from the break.

The chamber, suspended plenary on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, to enable lawmakers participate in the primaries of political parties.

He underscored the need for the Senate to prioritise the nation’s security challenges, as well as indertake further amendment of the Electoral Act.

According to him, the electoral process in the just concluded primaries have thrown up issues that must be critically looked at by the National Assembly.

On the outcome of the party primaries, he said, “Some of us participated in the congresses for their Senatorial Districts, some of our colleagues went for Governorship of their states, and four of us went for the Presidency of our great country.

“We have recorded different results from those activities, but as politicians, it is never over until It is over.

“We should continue to support the political system that we believe in.

“Those of our colleagues who have recorded successes, we wish them more successes in the general elections.

“Those of who have not succeeded as much, we are hopeful that between now and then, the situation may be better.

“But on the whole, our commitment to ensuring that this democracy benefits from legislative Interventions of the National Assembly should remain our focus.

“As a Parliament, we still have issues that require our legislative intervention.

Pastor Segun Adeosun of Living Faith church, Winners Chapel, Ogbe-Ofu branch has said Christians were redeemed to be fruitful and not barren.

He made the remarks during a sermon in the church at Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State.

Adeosun said many Christians were stagnated because of their disobedience to the instructions of God, describing the situation as unfortunate.

He said that any one that failed to keep the instructions of God, that God would give such instruction to another person, because God, according to him, believed in failing in one, failing in all.

The cleric said any Christian that is redeemed cannot be touched by enemies, saying that Christ suffered for his servants not to suffer again.

He urged Christians to remain in kingdom advancement endeavors for them to achieve Heaven at the end.

Pastor Zinji Emmanuel Manzuk who also delivered a sermon during the service said the church of God is built on revelation and not social gathering.

He called on Christians to be real in their service to God and never to be involved in fake services, adding that real servants of God would be greatly rewarded.

He said Christians should not lean on their own ideas, but the ideas of God, saying that they should be lovers of God, for God to exempt them from crisis.
