Foreign Affairs / Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by AfricaFirst: 2:03am On Mar 03, 2019

Imagine that! LMFAO. Unfortunately, during Apartheid, most of us couldn't care less about Africa (the "Africa" that existed beyond the borders of S.A.) to even know what Nigeria was. You were a dirty, little secret between the comrades grin So if you're feeling sentimental or heroic about that time, then you're on your own because an ordinary South African knew nothing about the rest of the world back then. Even the history we were taught at schools was about our country & nothing else. TBH, most of us still feel disconnected to an extent. The saddest & fondest memories are of each other, not Nigeria etc. You didn't exist as far as we're concerned, until after our freedom.

And now that you know better you're still proud of the fact you "couldn't care less about Africa (the "Africa" that existed beyond the borders of S.A.)" that helped save you from the hands of your white abusers. "an ordinary South African knew nothing about the rest of the world back then. Even the history we were taught at schools was about our country & nothing else" in other words you feel no shame in being intentionally miseducated about your brothers by your white abusers, interesting. "You didn't exist as far as we're concerned, until after our freedom" yes, the freedom that Nigeria contributed heavily to you gaining, how ungrateful. To the brothers and sisters that suffered and endured back then it's understood why they weren't aware of the contribution of Nigeria and other Africans to their freedom but now in the year 2019 you seem to think your ignorance is a good thing. Sad.

Your parents will think you are mad
Nigeria is a country to be avoided like a plague

Is that so?
Since that's the case why so much of the music and entertainment consumed in your country is from said "country to be avoided like a plague".
Doesn't sound like much avoiding to me. Have heard that 70% of the music played in your country is Nigerian, possibly more from Kenyans themselves. Your country doesn't have an impact or influence on Nigeria, where as Nigeria's culture, music, movies & entertainment have a huge impact on your countrymen & women that's quite clear to see. An increasing number of your fashion designer's have admitted that they're heavily influenced by Nigerian traditional fashion and culture. Remember - Kenya CitizenTV makes money for all of those Nigerian movies they show daily, ensuring the "country to be avoided like a plague" puts money in the pockets of Kenyan TV networks in the form of viewership and ad's. The shops & vendors in Nairobi selling knockoff Nigerian movies put food on the table for everyday Kenyans by way of Nigerian talent from that "country to be avoided like a plague", interesting. We aren't complaining, be careful.
