Nigerian singer, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk has explained why he let go his own label to join the Mavins record label.
The 30-year-old musician believes it will be stressful for him to manage his own music label.
Explaining why he joined the Mavins, the Kukere hit maker said:
“Honestly, It’s not hard for me to set up my own label. It costs about 120,000 to register a label, but my brand alone demands a lot of attention and the truth is I actually started a label, like I started the movement but I didn’t even see anybody that I could trust on that level because the future and what I want to achieve is way beyond putting 10 people together and moving around with branded T-shirts, which is what everybody wants you to do. But I thought about it and decided I need something stronger.
“I need to concentrate on this music because you can own a label but if you are not making good music, nobody cares. Starting a label also meant that I’ll be in charge of my music, logistics and everything, it’s too stressful and I don’t think I’m ready for that and the best option was Don Jazzy because from our studio session for ‘Gift’ last year we knew our working together was always smooth and productive so we just made it official.”
Iyanya was the co-owner of Made Men Music Group, a record label home to artists such as Tekno, Selebobo and Baci. Iyanya sings in English and Efik.
He released his debut studio album, My Story , in 2011. It was supported by the singles "No Time" and "Love Truly".
Desire , his second studio album, contained the singles "Kukere", "Ur Waist", "Flavour", "Sexy Mama", and "Jombolo".
Iyanya won the Artist of the Year award at The Headies 2013.

The MTV today celebrated unique African talents at the 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards. The Event which was held at the Ticketpro Dome in South Africa was hosted by South African Television & radio personality, Bonang Matheba.
Nigeria’s Wizkid beat the likes of Yemi Alade, Diamond Platnumz and others to win the most prestigious award of the night, Artiste Of The Year, as well as Best Male Award.
Other winners on the night include, Patoranking, Yemi Alade , Cassper Nyovest, Korede Bello and more. American singer and rapper, Future delivered a show-stopping performance before welcoming stage the for Nasty C.

Balogun was seen worried and at the same time scared . the look on his face was serious ." omo MI . omo MI ( my child my child )" was what he kept saying . he was looking for temilola he was nonchalant about was is going on around him . despite the fact that the soldiers were nearer he still kept looking .
The soldiers appear at a corner . on seeing balogun they started firing there gun at him but non of it affect or hurt him .
Balogun look at them am smile . on seeing this they all surround him
"Fire" john one of the soldier command . immediately they start releasing fire . they were surprise non of it hit him
"Ah ah ah ah ( laughing) you know nothing. Who do you think I am . emi (me) balogun ... Oro taba so fun ogbo logbo ngbo ..." He started reciting incantation when suddenly john throw bomb at the man . they all hide as balogun explode .
The soidiers continue destroying the village. Within some minute , they ruin the village of isale destroying every living being they set there eyes on.
