Hello VO,

My interview comes up soon, and I just concluded my medical examinations, and it came back well. But the physician said he has to carry out a TB test on me and the result will be available in 8weeks time. Will it affect the outcome of my interview?

Just show up at your appointment with the information you were informed about when the appointment was made. If anything changes, you will be contacted.

sorry I meant June not July.

Hello VO, my interview for a fiance visa has been scheduled, and its a few weeks away, but I noticed that since the status updated "ready" on the 9th of July it got updated on the 29th of July again. Is everything alright? I'm just paranoid.

Thanks in anticipation of response.

Hello VO,

My fiance has applied for a K1 visa for me, I'm awaiting the packet of instructions from the embassy, but we were advised to fill the ds 160 now so he can send all the documents with that to me.I've had previous US "visitors" visa online applications with an email address used to create a profile. My question is should that email address still be used to fill up the online ds160 form? or can my fiance create another profile using a different email address?.

Thanks.

A timely retraction of previous misrepresentations is one of the criteria for allowing officers to look past them. This, of course, means that you need to be open and forthcoming about the fact that you misrepresented yourself previously and not try to conceal it - either actively by creating new lies or passively by simply choosing not to mention it.

Simple errors are just that, simple errors. Lying about them becomes a different issue.

Thanks for your prompt response.Whats the definition of "timely retraction"? during the course of the interview or prior to interview? does erroneous travel history constitute a simple error?

Thanks

Good morning VO,
I want to know if erroneous information on previous us visa applications are classified as misrepresentations, and if that's true, if one is being honest about it on subsequent application, will there be an adverse effect on such application?

Hello VO,
I have a question as regards cosponsor, my fiance filed for my K1, but in the last three years he only started working few month before the end of 2015 which was in November till date,as a result he got only a six month tax return, and a letter and proof of nonfiling for those years he didnt file.On the other hand he meets the annual income requirement just that he hasn't worked enough and was advised to also get a cosponsor which he did, the cosponsor also meets the income requirement.Do we still need a cosponsor after getting a proof of non filing for those years? Secondly will the CO look at just the previous year tax return alone or is it a mandatory three years tax return?

Hello Sir,
I'm presently residing in South Africa, and my fiance and I are working on my K1 visa application, so I just got my police clearance certificate from Nigeria parcelled to me , but on crosschecking everything,my name was spelt correctly, passport number correct, but there was a typo error on the passport issue date.actual passport issue date is 26 April, but 20th April was typed. Will there be an issue with respect to that at my interview? Can I get an affidavit at the police station here to support the errors? I await your usual response. Thanks

embarassedHelo nairalanders, its very pathethic that some nigerians have really spoilt our reputation, the worst thing is just that innocent ones suffers it most.I desperately need a bahamas visa and i was at the british embassy as directed by the bahamas ministry of foreign affairs to get thier visa ,i got to the bristish embassy and was re-directed to our own ministry of foreign affairs,i got there and heard another story,i was told nigerians have abused the opportunity of getting a birtish transit visa to bahamas by running away when they get to the uk.Because of that Nigerians now have to apply for a bristish visa now to obtain a bahamas visa which was not so if going to bahamas. The most painful thing is that innocent ones suffers it most.We need to talk to ourselves and change from these acts and STOP implicating innocent ones.Im confused right now cos i need this visa seriuosly, and dont wants NO CORNERS!
