Romance / Wife Catches Hubby’s Girlfriend, Strips Her & Bites Off Her Ear by afrinaija: 1:35pm On Sep 05, 2014
I wonder why a woman will have to fight a girl because of her man, when it’s not like the girl used a long rope to drag your man from home. Very childish! A bitter housewife has bitten off the ear of a female student for having an affair with her husband in the Ajegunle area of Lagos State.

The woman, identified as Mama Ijeoma, had long suspected the girl, an SSS3 student identified as Ada, of doing things with her husband, but for some time she couldn’t do anything about it.

However, the woman was said to have blown her top when she caught Ada and her husband having a nice time in a beer parlour along Ojo Road in Lagos.

Mama Ijeoma was said to have slapped the beautiful Ada twice; an action which made her own husband, identified as Papa Ijeoma, to give her two resounding slaps…

Having been slapped by her husband because of a small girl, the aggrieved woman promised to “deal with” Ada and, before anyone could intervene, she pounced on the hapless girl and tore her top to shreds.

All efforts to appease the woman by her husband and other onlookers proved abortive, as the woman, in a rage, revealed that the girl had been dating her husband long before they got married last year and that she had had enough, after warning her to leave her husband alone, to no avail.

In a shocking move, the woman overpowered her restrainers and pounced on the girl a second time, biting off her ear in the process. Serious wahala!

According to Leadership, immediately her ear was bitten, Papa Ijeoma pushed his wife aside and rushed his fine babe to a private hospital for medical attention, while his wife escaped from the scene.

Politics / Lamido Is Not Qualified To Be President Of Nigeria – Clark by afrinaija: 1:28pm On Sep 05, 2014
Elder statesman, Edwin Clark has asserted that Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa state is not qualified to be president of Nigeria. The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain who said this while reacting to the governor’s opposition of the President’s endorsement by the North West region to contest the forthcoming general election also said Lamido lacks the qualities required to succeed the incumbent president.

“Apart from the fact that Jonathan has another four years, Lamido is not qualified to be president of Nigeria. “Lamido should not speak, he’s not the fit-and-proper person to govern Nigeria. One, educationally, he is not qualified. Nigeria is made up of very qualified people; let him tell me what his qualifications are.

“Aminu Kano was the one who brought him up, tell me what his qualifications are to take over from someone who has a Ph.D., who has been a lecturer, who has been a governor, who has been a deputy governor. The arrogance must stop.” Ads by BetterMarkItAd Options Speaking on the dispute between President Goodluck Jonathan and Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers state would soon be resolved.

Despite belonging to the same south-south zone and (previously) the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Amaechi and Jonathan ensured a torrid relationship, and the governor defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Clark is of the opinion that Amaechi is to blame, but he said said efforts were being made “to readopt the governor back into the fold because he is one of us”.

He further reiterated his earlier opposition to the waiver that was granted to Mallam Nuhu Ribadu to contest the October 11 gubernatorial election in Adamawa state on the platform of PDP. “Ribadu is not a stable man and I have said it openly at a press conference and an open letter to the national chairman that Ribadu is a political liability; I have said that Ribadu cannot win any election,” he said.

Politics / Lam Adesina’s Son To Contest Against Ajimobi by afrinaija: 2:11pm On Sep 04, 2014
Ayobami Lam-Adesina, who is the eldest son of a former Governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Lamidi Adesina, has said he will run for governor of the state on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

Ayobami told our correspondent during an interview that his late father, who was a leader of the Alliance for Democracy, was responsible for the structure of the APC in the state and denied that the party structure was designed around Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

He said, “I am going to vie for the governorship position in Oyo State as the APC candidate. I will continue from where leaders like Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Bola Ige and my father, who are all late, stopped. I will push for the implementation of true progressive policies. Free education, free health services, rural development, creation of employment and social services are some of the policies of the progressives.

“Constitutionally, I am qualified and I have the experience to succeed as a governor. There is the provision for primaries in the party so I don’t think there will be any problem with my coming out to contest.

“I know the history of the progressives in the state. The structure of the present APC in the state started with the structure put in place by the Alliance for Democracy. My father, the late Bola Ige, Michael Koleoso and other notable politicians nurtured the party to maturity.”

Ayobami, whose father contributed to Ajimobi’s victory in 2011, described the Peoples Democratic Party as a party that had mismanaged the resources of the country.

Ayobami’s governorship ambition and the expected division it may cause could weaken the chances of the APC retaining the governorship seat next year following the defection of its only two senators in the state, Senator Ayo Adeseun and Senator Olufemi Lanlehin to the PDP and the Accord Party respectively.
