People like Amosun if not curtailed now will pose a problem when elected. Is Buhari okay with Amosun campaigning against PDP in Ogun?

Yeah both APM and Amosun are working for Buhari.. Though the Apc group loyal to Osoba are not happy that Buhari wasn't able to persuade Amosun to support Dapo Abiodun. Dapo hasn't even done his campaign flag off. Apc should have given the party ticket to Ogun West and Not Ogun East ...Osoba and Tinubu prioritized dealing with Amosun and taking away the party structure away from me over winning the Election... You can't embarrass a sitting governor expect to win, they can destroy things you need to find another way.

My only concern now is that, this may lead to GNI winning Ogun state and most of us believe GNI will decamp back to PDP, Most of the former OGD boys are the ones supporting GNI. ...it's quite unfortunate.

Amosun's stronghold is Abeokuta both North and South. There are dissatisfaction with him in IFO and ewekoro. don't make it sound like he has an absolute following in the whole central. I know the sentiments towards YEWA people but as OGD said they have always been there own problem. They have never been united and they are a minority. As for central now believing it is their turn 'won kabo', they have been the one denying them all these years...I firmly remember the time of yewa lokan sugbon egba lo ma lo grin grin.... in any case everything is party structure in naija politics people will vote the party.

GNI is highly favoured but I dont see any structure on ground especially outside Ogun West. Dapo is rightly banking on the residual APC structure... it definitely must count for something. Anyway we will have a lot to analyse after they announce the winner or if it is a run off as I am suspecting. I am not hoping, I know many people following Amosun that will vote APC on that day. They said you can't get any money if you go against Amosun for now so most people are just chilling with him. Not everybody agrees with his style and there are moles everywhere both in APM and APC. A lot of deceiving and subtle play going on underground.

My personal opposition to Amosun is you can't form Emperor not in Ogun State it will never work. Ogun State I would say has the most enlightened electorate and one man choosing 40 elective positions singlehandedly just can never work here. For all the faults of Tinubu and Osoba they at least carry there main stakeholders along and that's why Tinubu is where he is today. But Amosun thinking he is the God of Ogun state is dancing naked already, he will be fully disgraced when the time comes. we will all watch it play out

This shows clearly you don't understand Ogun Central Politics.

Are you aware Amosun is from Ewekoro? Egba will always say this "Egba kii ni ile ki o ma ni oko " it means Egbas in Abeokuta will always have villages in other places.. And that's why Amosun is from Abeokuta North and his village is in Ewekoro, Obasanjo is from Owu abeokuta but his village is in ibogun, ifo.. Osoba is from Abeokuta south but village is in Odeda local government.

That's the advantage Egbas have over others.. Egbas can claim two local governments and the message in Abeokuta is always the same in ifo, ewekoro.

Some don't like Amosun but they will never vote for an Ogun East candidate... Owu villages are scattered all over Ifo and Ewekoro even down to Ado-odo ota local government, Ijoko area which falls under Ogun West and Owus are solidly behind Amosun. Check past results in Ogun central a single party usually takes everything and even if that will change this year, it will be for GNI and not Dapo.. Lol, I know you want Dapo to win as an Ijebu man

Just yesterday, Egbas council of Obas endorsed Akinlade, forget all those anti amosun noise you hear online. Ogun central is between GNI and Akinlade.

Oga, Listen, if Amosun had defected to the APM, he would lose woefully on the election.

Reason: Election Day, National and Presidential election will be held the same day....nobody will have time to separate any ballot....it will APC all the way..

On the Governorship: His candidate will find it difficult after Buhari must have been declared winner....the Bandwagon effect, the show of power by the APC would drown his candidate...

Let's wait and see... But let me tell you this.. Ogun state people are enlightened and they know what's going on in the state... So Voting for Apc and Apm same day may not be difficult for Ogun state people..Besides Amosun is very strong in Ogun central, he is the only one campaigning for Apc and buhari in Ogun central, Osoba and the likes are still gallivanting upanadan. To me there's nothing like Apm.. APM=APC , if the Apm members should win election they will decamp back to Apc... Amosun is in Apc waiting for them to win and come back so they can recover the party structure from Osoba.... SIA structure is the largest in Ogun Apc.. Osoba doesn't have what it takes to win election in the state. Even if people don't like Amosun they won't vote for Dapo Abiodun because of Osoba. But let's wait and see sha.....

About the bandwagon effect, that may not work here in Ogun state... Tribal sentiments between Ijebus and Egbas will definitely play out... Egbas will never vote Ijebus this time even if buhari comes over to campaign for Dapo Abiodun, they believe its not yet their time. Apc miscalculated.. There are lots of factors that will play out in Ogun this March. That's the reality on ground

Ogun East gave all their votes to GNI in 2015 but your lord Amosun rigged him out. Amosun should have test his popularity in APM and give Tejuoso APC senatorial ticket.
let me not argue again. March 2, is here.

Lol, So you think Tejuosho will defeat Amosun had it been Amosun left for Apm? You clearly don't understand Ogun Politics and the game Amosun is playing.

Hope u enjoyed ur nap? grin grin

Let's say it ends in a tie in Ogun East, where will Dapo make up d nos to get a runoff?

Do u know people in Ogun West APM are not mentioning APC at all, as all candidates there are Amosun's people...they only mention Buhari's name and that's all.

It might be a little bit dicey in Ogun Central...but don't underestimate what one can achieve within 2 weeks when u have all d State apparatus at ur disposal...OGTV, OGBC 1 and 2....lots of loyal and grassroots heavyweight foot soldiers and d financial capability.

As for Ladi and Buruji...don't forget they are both campaigning vigorously; though separately...which is more dangerous than one of them losing out...maybe their supporters might have switched to GNI or Dapo....but as it is...it is even more dangerous and counterproductive to Dapo's course that they are running separate campaign under d same platform.

Bro, aswear you sabi.

I don't understand people here at all.

People are forgetting that tribal politics will also play out.

Dapo abiodun himself is jittery ...He went on channels to say the Egbas and Yewas are same thing whereas he told Olu of ilaro that he pleaded with Amosun to allow Yayi a Yewa man because it was their turn ...The certificate scandal is still there

I was in Abeokuta on the 26th and I didnt see any Dapo Posters. APM has monopolised the posters grin grin grin

As i stated above to humberjade, Those following APM are doing so mainly for cash, and they will vote APC on the d-day. Lekan Mustapha dont agree with Amosun, but he is there for now.. that's why I'm telling you many are just doing oju aiye. Add Federal Might, why do you think AMosun is asking for no security so that he's thugs can have sway abi...his eyes will clear that day.

Lol, You and lordbailish don't understand politics.

I told you in the other thread that Ogun central will rather vote for a candidate in Ogun West than Ogun East... You people don't know the sentiments here and for you to think the egbas following Amosun are doing so because of the money shows you know nothing about Ogun central people. We don't play money politics in Ogun central. Majority of Ogun central rightly believe it's the turn of Ogun West and that's why people are considering voting for GNI because not everyone likes Amosun or Apc.

In fact most people are tipping GNI to win it's only you Dapo Abiodun fans that earlier hoped Buhari will persuade Amosun to work for Dapo in the interest of the party and Dapo himself still hoping Buhari will persuade Amosun to lead his campaign that actually think Dapo stands a chance.... Out of all the major candidates, only Dapo has done little in terms of campaign.. But you are here hoping people will follow Amosun but for vote for Dapo and also expecting a federal might that may never come.

What exactly are you saying? APC has no formidable structure and yet the state governor is still in the party? Why do you think it's difficult for him to move to APM and test his popularity?

Apparently, you are insinuating that APC is not an option in Ogun state. How does that sound to you?

Lol, I'm from Ogun central, Majority of the Egbas will vote for Amosun regardless of the political party his name appears on the ballot paper. Amosun has done well for the Egbas he won convincingly in 2007 under ANPP before the "Magogo"

Amosun is still in APC because of his respect for buhari, he is however hoping Apm will defeat Apc in other elections in the state and then his loyalists will decamp back to APC by then he will recover back the party structure from Osoba... That is Amosun plans i don't know what will eventually happen.

If you assume APC has no structures in Ogun state then your political knowledge is it's infancy.

You are not addressing the issues. I said APC currently doesn't have a formidable structure in OGUN state due to the exit of most of his members.

Pointless analysis so far...I wonder where Akinlade's vote will come from to defeat an old timer like a GNI.

The elections here is likely going to be between Dapo and GNI.

On the contrary, Nobody has said Akinlade was going to win . What brought about the discussion was the claim that APC has a formidable structure in Ogun state which is false.

They think because they visited Buhari and he lifted Abiodun's hand, he has his total support, and he would win...but they are in for a shocker...Amosun replied by flying on the Presidential jet with Buhari back to Abuja from Akwa Ibom to show how close he is to Buhari...Buhari is just playing along to ensure all factions work for him and ensure he wins the State...after which we will all know where he stands.

Bro, you are absolutely right.

I remember in 2007 when Buhari came to Abeokuta to campaign at the Alake Palace, he saw the massive crowd Amosun was able to pull for him despite the believe that ANPP was mostly seen as a northern party in the South west. Buhari likes amosun and he trusts him.

When they did Apc governorship primaries which Oshiomole claimed Dapo won, Amosun went to Abuja to complain, Oshiomole said Amosun doesn't enjoy the support of the majority party members in the state.

Oshiomole sent another committee for the national and state assemblies primary . Amosun paid channels tv to televise the elections live. The Alhaji Ciroma led committee announced results of the election and virtually all Amosun's candidates won the election. What happened next was that, Oshiomole replaced those that won the primaries with those that didn't contest and those that lost but were loyal to Tinubu and Osoba...

Amosun went to meet Buhari again , this time he went with Alake and Olu of Ilaro

Buhari knows what is happening in Ogun state but he's handicapped because of his elections buhari doesn't totally trust Tinubu and that was why it was alleged that Tinubu was sidelined at a time but when they needed him for elections, they called him back.. Who knows what will happen to Tinubu after Buhari wins this election.

That's what i am saying too...but these Dapo guys are hellbent on believing Dapo has a chance...i have told them everybody will be minding his own business during d Gen Elections but they are hoping on Fed Mgt oo.

And then they talk about APC structure in Ogun...imagine if Aregbe had pulled out his structure from APC before Osun2018...imagine Ajimobi withdrawing his structure from APC in Oyo...it is only in Lagos u can mess with a sitting Gov within d same party and get away with it...here in Ogun...kole werk

The major mistake APC made was ceding their ticket to Ogun East.. Ogun West can never forgive APC for that. If Amosun should backtrack and decide to support Dapo Abiodun, Ogun West will not only feel betrayed by Amosun but by the Egbas too.

So I don't blame Amosun for insisting on Akinlade though I would have preferred Tolu Odebiyi or Yayi.

Tinubu, Osoba and Co neglected party's interest just because they wanted to take over the structure of the party from Amosun. In their political miscalculation they stole the party ticket and gave it to Ogun East instead of looking for another candidate in Ogun West to tackle Amosun.

What is left of APC in Imo and Ogun when u remove Okorocha and Amosun's structure from it...all that will be left is carcass...if u mentioned Federal might, u might not be far from d truth...but structure? I beg to differ

Bro, Elections will be going on simultaneously all over Nigeria that day. And all the foot soldiers that will make the federal might work effectively well are already in APM.... AMERICO, JANGO, OBAMA etc besides even the Osun Elections that Apc went with the entire Calvary ,were they not about to lose the election if not for Amosun, Fayemi and others that went to beg Omisore ? Where was the federal might then?

I agree with u on the runoff part.

But pls my brother, which APC structure exactly are talking about, the same Osoba structure that left APC for SDP in 2015 and yet couldn't deliver any seat...because i am not understanding...I even believe PDP (forget about d factions) has more chance than Dapo (since the 2 are still campaigning under PDP)...I know the Dapo camp is relying on Federal might to conquer in 2019, but i doubt if they will have it after Feb 14.

The fact that Dapo has Adebutu still running in Ogun East is a huge blow to him...because he can't even win Adebutu in Iperu to start with

I have business interests in Ijebu-Ode and Oru-Ijebu , Dapo is a late comer here... Remember few weeks back, Dapo was still hoping Buhari will persuade Amosun to support him hence he said Amosun will be at his flag off.

Up till now APC hasn't done their own flag off, even kashamu has done his own.

Lol, Bro you have started again... Which party structure are you talking about? The one firmly in the hands of Amosun? Even the Apc senatorial candidate for Ogun, Senator Lekan Mustapha is with Amosun... Tunde Oladunjoye that released that statement dare not enter the state APC secretariat...

Nobody knows who will win the Governorship election in the state but one thing is certain, APC can't win Ogun State.
