Please, I need your help.
Please, Don't mind how undecided my question sounds. I'm a novice in this matter.

And also , when is the best month to register for TOEFL and write it.

Thanks wonderful people...
First decide the university list you wanted to get into. Check the deadlines for for each one. If your application deadline is August 1st just plan to for the exam 2 to 3 months ahead so that you'll be prepared.
Wonder how to prepare for the TOEFL exam, get the resources and tips out there and plan to prepare for each section in an ultimate way.
Good luck.

I have a BSC in computer science with CGPA 3.65 on a scale of 5.0 which is 73%. Most Canadian schools I’ve seen are requesting for 75%. Tho I had 76% in my last 2 years. Pls give me list of some schools

You can check these schools for your TOEFL score.

Have you written the GRE and/or TOEFL? The funding deadline for most schools have passed. You can push for Fall 2020.

This is a list of schools sor your program. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NrfFVlPHZzXIPUOc_PZXiX-uzb3nmazn/view?usp=sharing
You can use sites like thegradcafe to see the trends of funding for your course.

Goodluck on your journey.

That's a great resource. There are some GRE apps that provides these information and can easily talk to an admission counselor for free. Thanks for the awesom resource.

I took the GRE recently and got the 328 score (Q:165, V:163)
At the start of my prep I gathered all the materials that I need. I never made myself get confused with all different kinds of materials that are available in the market. Following the right course that I can afford and maintaining the discipline that I feel is needed to achieve anything.

Coming to the preparation I'm somewhat good at math cool. So I decided to focus more on the verbal mostly on the vocabulary. I followed flashcards and some good vocab app which I got them on play store. Also Barron’s 1100 Words you need to know. They helped me lot to observe the difference from where I started and where I ended.

Reading comprehensions are the hardest part for me where I wasted a lot of time reading and understanding itself. I referred some free blogs by well reputed authors and I also recommend that as you'll find them useful.

Even though I was confident with math I solved more math questions from manhattan and there are some specific GRE forums like GRE prep club, Urch where you'll find the challenging questions. I decided to spend one and a half minute to solve MCQ's and a maximum of 3 minutes for numerical entry questions as they require an analytical approach.

I took up galvanize test prep for my prep as they a unique strategy making me ready for the exam with a course manager assisting me till my exam. This suits me.

Pick the right one by following the reviews. The practice tests are also good as well.
Don't worry if you aren't ready to spend money for these. There are many free things out there.
Never miss to take some GRE sample tests before the real one. This helps to manage the time during test and help you analyze your weak points and master in them.

Don't stress about and enjoy the ride. grin

Been a very long time I posted here. This thread was instrumental in my basic understanding of GRE and the application process. Tho still learning...

I wrote my GRE today at JKK Lagos and it was quite an experience. I didn't consider my self well prepared as I registered in July while following the thread, but bank work didn't avail me much time to study, I'd say my preparation is roughly up to a month, I downloaded the materials and bought kaplan hard copy which I studied from Parle to Parle with occasional checking of e copies once or twice.

Cutting the long story short, thanks to God Almighty I tried my best. I'd love to know my chances. Here's my profile

BSc Biochemistry
3.92/5
3.36/4 wes unofficial evaluation
prospecting MSc/PhD
Field: Biotechnology
GRE Score
V: 156
Q: 149
Schools: Arizona state university, Illinois state university, West Virginia state university

I'd like to know your thoughts.

Thanks to all that makes the thread alive.

I really love Arizona State University. Hope you'll get into it. I can suggest you a free profile evaluation done by the Alumna Of Texas A&M University, USA. This is really good that you can profile evaluated by an expert. Hope this helps.
