Good day all

Please I've someone (Uncle) who works with an agency, he wants to loan me 2-3m for me to start up life, but I must pay back the money in 1year.

The problem now is I don't know the kind of business to start with 2m that can grow faster that I will be able to pay back the money, I'm thinking of doing working visa to outside country to go and work (I'm not a graduate) I've been so confused like I don't even know what to do again, because this opportunity came by sudden to me last week after I told him I want to do something for my life but I don't have capital to start



Please I need suggestions is it good to start business here in Nigeria?

Should I travel out to work if yes which country please


I'm in my early twenties please and remember any suggestion you will make, remember I've to pay back the money on 12months

When you say you don't want a betting business, its understandable and I support you.

But when you say a online business then you should rethink as you will be burying alot of opportunities down. Don't worry i know what it feels like to have money and don't have time. Online business in its essence creates a life of freedom..

Asides from freelancing which indeed is what requires full attention and time, the blueprint for majority of other online biz models is different, of which once setup and running everything works on automation and a copy and paste routine of my which shouldn't take you more than 2-3hrs daily to monitor...

Basically, once everything is setup the only thing you do is monitor your ads/promotions which is what brings in the leads/sales...

Affiliate/CPA marketing for example, if you are to do it correctly it works completely on automation. Once you have everything setup the only thing you will need is to promote and get traffic to your automated machine.. And to do that you need to push traffic, getting traffic right now online is very easy. All you need is set aside a budget for ads which should not be more than $100 for start. $200 if you want to start in grand style.
With your first 10 sales alone you should have double or even triple this ad spend if you do things correctly and so your success journey commences....

As you progress you then higher VA's who will handle petty things that shouldn't take you 1-2 hours daily if you were to do it on your own and this can even keep you off even for a whole week without even doing anything and dollars be piling...

Funny thing is you don't need all that 1m to get started with any these online businesses, yet the potential and returns from can make you as much as that monthly.. For example, you start with $500, to $1k, to $2k, $3k, $5k etc do the maths
The future is online, don't run from it okay.

Listen OP cause i talk to you as an authority, going to open betting shop in 2019 with 1m is not a good move.
There are many factors out there that has to play to your favor for you to be in reasonable profits ....If it is business, you need something you can take at least 75% control of and a bet shop is far from that. I i had a betting shop that operated from 2014 to 2017 until i sold it so i know as the game is... If it was in 2013 no wahala you can even close your eye and open a shop...

And asides from that, you have 1m to start a business you don't throw in everything like that. No matter what the business is, You should be able to start with quarter to half of that amount first and then upscale with the remaining when you see the business is doing well. That's how its done you grab..

In this year and Age its not until you open a shop before you say you started business. You can make income online with genuine legitimate businesses that will require potent start up. Nairaland itself is running as someone's business and its online.

There are two businesses i will recommend to you. Both businesses don't even require you to start with up to quarter of that money.. yet they have the potential to bring as much the 1m in single month

1. Importation/Ecommerce - Import goods at unbeatable prices directly from the manufacturers and sell on a good profit margin in Nigeria. For example you bring down 100 pieces of a product which cost you @$3 per piece buying from manufacturers.. This should cost you about 150K together with shipping and marketing.. You sell for N8,000 to 10,000 per piece, do the maths..by the time you sell everything you should have made 550k - 800k in pure profits depending on how you price your goods....How much did you wanted to open a bet shop again?

2. Performance Affiliate Marketing, here you earn income online in dollars by promoting CPA offers where you get paid when simple actions are completed by people. You can make $500 to $5k monthly with this...And all required is knowing the right offers to promote an having a budget to run ad campaigns. Infact i have a brand new system of earning with this system by promoting new type of offers known as COD Offers. which promoting Ecomm products over the world using COD. . its quite easy and straightforward but yet very massive...

OP though i am into ecomm myself infact i even have some stuff on Jumia.. But there are some kind of things i will advice you go to a Physical shop and buy. See it with your eyes, test it and enjoy it in the shop first. And it is things like this...If possible save more money and buy yourself a good Samsung, LG or Hisense Tv okay.

You are in school so you can get a certificate in 4 years that will enable you to work and earn money that you seem to be already earning?
Now you are earning the money already and the activities are clashing with School and you dont know what to do?

Think about it. If something can give you 100k in two weeks as a newbie envision what you will achieve as you progress and do it for a long time. Use your head young man...

Focus on that hustle as long as its long term. You are still young, go back to school later ...When you make enough money from what you are do I g you can even go abroad where you will have and experience true education..

Mind you Education is not limited to going to school. Topic for another day

As far as music and entertainment in general, you no fit really 'blow' big time with crossover appeal without acceptance and being on ground in Lagos. Ask the likes of Timaya, Ric Hassani, etc. Even Duncan Mighty didn't really blow until he came and camped in Lagos to do collabo with the likes of Davido, Wizzy, Tiwa dem.

Are you a learner? Which Duncan are you talking about. I am sure the year Duncan blew in the music industry you were still in primary school.

No doubt Lagos is the entertainment hub every artist needs to come to excel, but be sure of yourself before you make references like the above next time.
