Computers / Re: Inverter Users : Lets Have Your Experience by Ajanlekoko2: 12:47pm On May 13, 2023
Greetings everyone. I just installed my set up few days ago, it's pure bliss.

My set up is
Mpower 220ah tubular battery
1kva afripower pure sine wave inverter
2 200 solar panels

However, electricity supply has gotten a bit stable and this is stirring up some questions in me.

1. When nepa brings light, my fan rotates faster, lights seems to get a bit brighter. That's not a problem to me anyway, but is it necessary that I manually switch off the inverter when there's suppply from the mains?

2. Nepa charges my inverter very fast, it's always full in abt 6-7hrs. There seem to be no way to stop the inverter from charging the battery except I want to shut electricity supply in the house. My worry is can my battery be overcharged as a result of this? Thanks in advance.

Nairaland / General / Should I Emigrate Or Not? by Ajanlekoko2: 11:49pm On Aug 19, 2022
Like several other Nigerians, I'm considering relocating to another country, but I want to be sure of what I'm putting myself into. I'm 26, with a girlfriend, 2,1 civil engineering from a federal university, babe studied law.

From my observations;

Health workers have a defined path in the UK/Canada, in fact, most places in the world

Highly skilled tech savvy folks have a place

Neither I, nor my babe fits into any of these categories.

Also, I have not been able to secure a scholarship to fund my travel, that is, I have to rely on my own funds

Thankfully, I've raised over 3M from my day job in a building construction company and from undertaking private projects. While 3M isn't enough, I can raise more if I'm serious with my emigration plans.

My questions is;

What are the real life chances of non health workers security a befitting job and a good life after Masters?
