A photocopy of your passport must have been given to you at VAC alongside a yellow paper containing your tracking number, etc.

I guess you can take that along with your medical invite form.

Thank you sir. My wife study industrial chemistry 3rd class. But now she is teaching nursery and primary Montessori. She like teaching now, and want to convert to teaching. What school can she get PGD or course to do. Will she go with her two children less 3yrs, 2 of them

All you need to apply is her study permit, marriage certificate and a proof that she is a student in Canada. Proof of fund is just an advantage, it's not a main concern, let your company say in a reference letter that they will take you back whenever you return, a job offer in Nigeria is kind of a tie.

You can always apply to change the conditions of your stay in Canada and if you want to apply for a study permit then you will need proof of fund.

Kindly assist with this request please even if it's just a format. I'm seriously delaying my application as I don't want to be left out of the train.

Well, I'm. Just in your shoes, I applied to three schools, Manitoba, McGill and MUN. Non offered admission same reasons of competition and sort. Civil Engineering precisely, cgpa of 3.55.

Well, I'm considering open work permit for as alternative because my wife got admitted to Western University.

I graduated with 3.85/5 and thought I stood a good chance as it is a second class upper. Still awaiting decision from Alberta but somehow discouraged. I am also in the same issue with you from CIC, my is for SOWP, i was given 5 days to respond because mine was paper, i have replied them and waiting for the best, my dear is better to denial some one oh than be banned for 5 yrs, imagine me that my wife is there, person want come banned mixer for 5 yrs, that is Forbidden oh, want come kill me for conji . Well just write a good reason , for me i wrote a reason and supported it with document, all the best mate, we will succeed.

You do not need proof of fund for SOWP, in online application there is no provision for you to attach it, but I will advise you attach it if you have it in the optional section.

You need a sponsor if you are coming to study and your sponsor will pay your school fee.

Just add your available fund and if you have letter of explanation just say you will live with your spouse which is obvious.

Your SOWP will expire the exact same date her study permit will expire.
You can extend your SOWP if she get PGWP and is working in a job with NOC A, 0 or B.

My advise is to make sure she gets a job in this NOC before you apply for PGWP and don't forget that she has 90days to apply PGWP from the day of graduation

You do not have to return to Nigeria if your SOWP expires and you are not able to extend it, you can apply to change the condition of your stay like going back to school and working 20 hours a week or get a visitor visa and not able to work at all. or you can even find an employer who will get you an LMIA so you can get a work permit on your own. You might even qualify for express entry with your Canadian work experience when your wife was studying( make sure that your job during that time will get you into express entry)

There are lots off options, Stay optimistic!

I'm planning to submit a trv application for SOWP in few months time. My wife is currently studying in Ontario for a 2year MSc. Im just thinking that after her program in 2019, hopefully I should be there by then, what happens to my SOWP, can it be extended inside Canada if she is given PGWP? Or I need to return to Nigeria until she gets a job with her PGWP before asking for extension.

Hello powerful gurus, I have been a silent follower on this thread. I need your advice, my wife's study permit application has just been approved to study at Western on scholarship, however I'm considering applying for SOWP but confused on when to file in my application.

Can I file in my documents or wait until she gets to Canada before submitting my SOWP application?

She submitted unofficial transcript with the application and the official transcript order receipt has been sent to them as a reply to the mail request sent to her.

The school is right and CIC knows about the processes to fulfill a condition on your offer letter that is why they ask that you show in your study permit application that you can meet the condition(s)if you apply with a conditional offer letter.

If your wife didn't submit her UNOFFICIAL undegrad transcript during her visa application, she has to show CIC that she has or can meet the condition.

Since transcript has been processed, attach the order reciept requesting the transcript to be sent to her school in canada as well as any email correspondence showing you are in the process of meeting the condition on your letter if the school won't give you unconditional letter. The study permit condition is a walk over. It's CIC call and not yours to worry over.

I did just that. Just wanted to be sure I did the right thing. Thanks bro

Just relate the response from the school to them (CIC). U can also forward the mail to them.

Hello peeps,

My wife submitted a study permit application on January 10, 2017 with upfront medical for summer admission but she got a response to submit a "non conditional letter of acceptance" within 5 working days to avoid been refused.

She swiftly contacted the school UWO to request for this but the school insisted they don't issue that until the conditions on the "conditional letter" are met viz: original transcript and a valid study permit and that the initial letter was prepared in conjuction with Cic and should suffice for granting a study permit. Transcript have since been processed.

Please gurus, advise on the next line of action. Thanks

Anyways I had called vfsglobal before and they confirmed that my app is still under processing... they also confirmed my email address as correct, so i wonder why I didn't get acknowledgment email after submission... anyways fingers crossed.
