Yes, that's correct.

You can list 10 German schools and I can guarantee you prolly only 2 will give that option. As an Anglophone nation, they don't ideally trust our "study in English". So we have to prove it by writing those exams.

grin

Don't deceive yourself bro. As long as you are an English speaker and your studies are taught completely in English, you don't need any test unless you want to waste your money.

Or you can drop the list of university that does not require ielts and accept proficiency letter

Almost all schools will waive any language exam as long as you have been taught in English in your undergraduate.

Yeah. It you can't present 48hrs PCR test results, that does not mean say you must not bring a PCR test result from your country of departure.

They just assume due to transit and the timing of the test results, so sometimes it not possible to arrive DE within the 48hrs after your initial test.

You just have to do the test before flying

Thank you bro, all will be done as rightly said.

Do you register with Nigeria international travel portal as well?

A PCR test is a must and it has to be within 48hrs after your Before your arrival to Germany.

So do the test at least 24hrs before departure to Germany

Treat with caution if it's Germany you are coming to.

Penalty of 25K Euro dey ooo

Thank you bro. Yes, I am aware that there is a fine. However, what I read from the foreign office and RKI website was that foreigners coming in that can not present a PCR test done 48hours before flying must undergo a test, and get quarantined till the result of their test ia out.

So, that's why I'm asking if it is a must by Turkish or FAAN. I know testing will still be done in DE at no cost..

It's depends on Airlines as well as the country you are traveling to.

My advice just take the PCR test.

turkish airline to germany

You have to take the PCR test before leaving Nigeria. The airline might not allow you to board with the PCR test.

At the port of entry, you would be subjected to take the test again immediately after your arrival. So try as much you could to get the PCR test done before flying

thank you for your reply bro.

is the PCR test mandatory because i read something different on their website.

Ethiopian airlines or Turkish airline.

But it has to be from Frankfurt sha.

Hello brother, good morning.

I intend leaving for Germany first week in October with Turkish. I would like to know the things to put in place before leaving and how the COVID 19 protocols really look like at the airport. I am coming through Berlin airport.
Also, I would like to ask, in case I don't have the PCR test here, what is the implication at the point of entry is Germany?
Thank you. I look forward to your response

I also contacted them last week via mail and this was their response;

"Please note that due to COVID-19 the visa section of the German Embassy and because of reduced personnel remains closed with the exception of emergency cases."

In my case, I've done the visa interview since February but the processing was stalled due to the pandemic. At this very moment, my passport is still with them. E tire me....but God dey!

Hope still dey.

Get a new admission letter from school(in case they need one) and a letter of presence from your school. When you have gotten the two documents, send it to them embassy via email.

Your visa will be revisited.

Godspeed bro

Hello madam,

You do not need this unnecessary panic. Get the needed documents that support your change of name -court affidavit, newspaper publication of your change of name, etc, and leave the rest to God..

Best regards.

Hello,
Good morning

I have just been granted an Interview date with the german embassy.

After my interview booking, I got married and changed my name. I also made a new passport. I have all change of name documents.
Do you think this will be an issue for me, as i do not have the same exact name and passport number?

Also does anyone have the checklist for a longstay visa for an accompanying spouse?

Go with the required document(s) backing your change of name.

Cheers

Majekodunmi66:
Hello Everyone, Please I need help regarding this situation.

So my wife while not yet married to me, in March 2020 got an Erasmus NOHA+ Scholarship from the EU for a mobility Masters programme in Poland, Germany and The Netherlands for 24months.

Given the Covid-19 situation, she will be resuming in Germany. in May, she applied for visa as a single lady. We are now married.

Recently she emailed the EU, the Masters Programme Coordinators and her School in Germany to inform them that she just got wedded and that she will like to travel with me (her husband) for the period of her stay and that she has applied for a long term visa for me.

Immediately, the EU wrote to the German Embassy with our ref numbers and informed them that my wife's programme commences in September and that we should be attended to despite the close of the visa office. The Embassy responded to the EU saying that they need a confirmation from my wife's school that it is mandatory for her to be in Germany for the study, which was forwarded to the Embassy.

Cut the story short... we got an appointment same day 7am and 9am respectively for August 2020. The issue here is that her email for an appointment has more requirement than mine because she is the Awardee. They asked my wife to come with all her documents, blocked account or scholarship documentation from the EU, while mine being her husband did not come with any requirement other than for my passport number must not be incorrect. They didnt even ask me for a blocked account or health insurance, absolutely nothing.

By the scholarship, her monthly allowance is 1000 euro and her school is in Bochum, Germany. Please what do you advise that I do on my own part.

Do I just go with my wife to the VISA interview just like that? Because my appointment actually didn't ask me for anything, maybe my wife's documentation would suffice for me, I don't know. I need an Advise on how and what to do before mid August 2020 and what are the possible questions I may be faced with at the interview come August

Thank you

Hello sir, congratulations on your wife's scholarship.

In respect to your question, the scholarship is carries your wife's name, which means you are not a beneficiary. Since you guys are coming in with a student visa and not family reunion. Therefore, you are strongly advice to go with all required documents in the checklist which includes your means of subsistance as well.

Cheers.

Can someone please explain this bolded part clearly?

From 1 July 2020, the exceptions to the EU entry restrictions are to be extended as follows:

EU citizens, citizens from countries associated with Schengen (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland), citizens from the UK and third-country
nationals entitled to reside in the EU and their respective family members shall be allowed to enter the country, regardless of whether they are returning to their place of residence.

The categories for third-country nationals with so-called “essential functions or needs” are to be extended by including:

third-country nationals entering for the purpose of study

qualified professionals from third countries provided that their employment is necessary from an economic point of view and that their work cannot be postponed or carried out from abroad.

Can a sponsorship letter in line with a specific admission letter be used for another school. For instance, one gets an admission and starts using it to process SL then one gets another admission later on which is the preferred course. What advice can you give?

You can use it for any school

When exactly am I to tell My Sponsor to visit the Foreign Office and make the formal obligation? Is it after I have secured admission? I am asking cos I don't know the process and how long it'll take my sponsor to get the sponsorship letter..I am applying for Winter semester..Advice please

The document doesn't take up to 3 days to be issued out, and I will strongly advice you to get an appointment date before securing your SL.

What if someone tranfers the full money once from Germany to my access bank blocked account. Would it take time?

How do I open fintiba blocked account?

I would like to use access bank...

You don't have to give the person your Nigeria bank account details, open a Block Account with Fintiba or other agencies accredited by the Embassy and send the person your IBAN. This process is the safest, cheapest and the most reliable way of funding.

Stop trying to come up with an excuse for the embassy when you don't work there.

If work visas and family reunions can be put on hold for 10months plus despite evidence of obvious employment and swift integration into the German community, I see no reason why paucity of student visa can be attributed to short staff.

Is it not the same staff that have also being tending to work and reunion visa ppl all this months?

Even if dey are short staffed nothing stops them from seeing 100 applicants daily assuming 50 each lol. Yet ppl are saying dey are witnessing only 5 ppl on the waiting area of late lol.

If you are still wondering how it's possible to wait go and ask the work visa applicants that have booked since April and are yet to get dates.

This issue is beyond staff

I don't think they embassy) have anything doing then. You can't compare the inflow of students to those going for reunion or work.

Las las, we go dey alright
