SSG AND THOUSANDS OF APC SUPPORTERS DECAMP TO PDP AS ATIKU TAKES CAMPAIGN TO KATSINA

It was a triumphant entry for the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming general elections, His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (GCON), as he arrives Katsina with members of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), in continuation of their nation wide consultation and electioneering campaign.

Speaking at the occasion which had large turnout of party bigwigs and supporters from the state and beyond, including members of the National Working Committee (NWC) and the PCC team, the party's standard bearer, reiterated his earlier promise to provide adequate security for the citizenry and assured of reopening the borders, in order to facilitate movement and ease of doing business, which will lead to healthy interactions.

The former vice-president also intimated the people of the state of his preparedness to implement the programs highlighted in his campaign manifesto, entitled my *Covenant with Nigerians* if elected president. The Wazirin Adamawa enjoined the people of Katsina State and Nigerians to vote PDP, stating that the PDP era which he was part of was far better than the current regime that has plunged the country into a pitiable situation.

Speaking in the same vein, the National chairman of the party, Senator Iyochia Ayu, while receiving Alhaji Mustapha Inuwa, a two-time SSG to the Katsina State government, alongside over fifty thousand defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC), urged the Katsina people to vote Atiku and other PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections. Alhaji Inuwa equally reminded the people of Katsina about the glorious era of Yar'Adua, who gave the state quality infrastructural facelift.

Other dignitaries who spoke at the occasion expressed optimism about PDP winning the 2023 presidential election and mentioned that the party is set to reclaim Katsina from the APC. The Director-general of the PCC, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State, who is the Matawalle of Sokoto Caliphate while addressing the audience in Hausa language enjoined the people to vote PDP in order to sustain the enviable legacies of late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua.

On his part, Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta, who is the running mate to the PDP presidential candidate, paid glowing tributes to Atiku Abubakar, stating that Atiku is a leader that can be trusted to lead the country out of the current political impasse and the economic quagmire that the APC regime has plunged the country into.

Also, speaking at the occasion, the chairman of the PDP PCC, Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, thanked the crowd of party faithful and supporters that thronged the Mohammadu Dikko Kakanda Stadium, the venue of the event to welcome the august visitors. He urged them to vote PDP for national security and productive use of our natural resources.

Nigeria as the most African populous country facing ethno religious sentiments, nepotism, extreme poverty, menace of corruption, soaring unemployment, widespread insecurity. High inflation rate and sluggish economy which is heavily dependent on fluctuating oil revenue.

It's obvious that Nigeria needs a leader who has vast experience of interaction and quality of leadership to be at helm of affairs in other to promote the peaceful coexistence of the country.It's high time for the generality of the masses to vote the right candidate who will treat everyone equal by promoting the unity of the country where peace is at stake. In order to balance the equation you must fully consider the participation of every religion since from the time immemorial we were destined to live together . The cogent reason i have endorsed Atiku as my prepared candidate among all the candidates is the fact that his political maturity and his symbol of unity being exhibited with friends and political associates in both the Southern and Northern Parts of the country.

Let me reiterate without mincing words the fact that Nigeria needs a leader who has the talent and sheer experience to initiate sound economy policy for the economy growth and development. Therefore. it's suffice to note that the interest of Nigeria supercedes personal interest, if we look at the track record of all of the candidates. Atiku has the best record interms of delivery a dividends of Democracy and also has the best cardinal agenda's because he builds his campaign promises based on his successes as the vice-president between 1999 to 2007. Where as head of the government's economic team he oversaw successful reforms in the telecommunication, pension and banking sectors. This reminds me of an Hausa saying which goes thus " An ce ma kare ana biki agidanku yace nagani akasa"

Atiku has the capacity to govern and over come the main problem of the country which is abject poverty, and high rate of inflation, you can't have experience these and expect the peace and unity of the country. Poverty and inflation touch Nigerians directly. Moreover Atiku promises to tackle poverty and inflation rate in the country as part of his blueprint to rescue Nigeria. I vehemently agree his promises if we look at his track records as vice president when PDP came to into being in 1999,It lifted Nigeria from poverty.

I have never come across a sound, economic policy akin to that of Wazirin adamawa which he promised to promote economic diversification and linkages between angriculture, industry and micro and small Enterprises all three of which have great prospect for employment generation what an intelligent idea. He will increase the flow of direct foreing investment (fDI) into the non oil sector.

On oil sector by 2025, Nigeria shall produce a minimum of 5 million per barrels daily. Increase the contribution of the downstream sector to GDP from 0.5% to at least 2% by 2025 to increase the quantity of petroleum being refined, consumed and exported. And also to expand domestic gas production to meet power generation and manufacturing demand.

Conclusively, we hope for a new Nigeria in the political dispensation in due course under the sterling leadership of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar the incoming president Insha Allahu.

PDP Alerts of APC’s Plot to Disrupt Its Ondo State Presidential Campaign Rally
…Says Ondo People Cannot be Subdued

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alerts of plots by the rejected All Progressives Congress (APC) to orchestrate violence and disrupt the PDP Presidential Campaign Rally scheduled for Akure, Ondo State Capital on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

The APC, having lost all foothold in Ondo State and dazed by the increasing popularity of the PDP and our Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, over its deflated Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has resorted to violence in a desperate bid to disrupt PDP Presidential Campaign Rally in the State.

The PDP is aware of plots by the APC to import thugs from Kogi State and station them at strategic locations along roads and intersections leading to the PDP Campaign Rally venue in Akure town to attack PDP members and other Nigerians similar to the dastardly acts APC perpetuated against the PDP in our Kaduna and Borno States rallies.

APC leaders are reportedly bragging that APC-led Ondo State Government had bribed commercial road transporters in the State not to provide transportation to PDP members and supporters so as to frustrate their movement to the venue of the PDP Presidential Campaign Rally.

The PDP states clearly that it cannot be deterred by the APC’s plots which will be firmly resisted by the people of Ondo State. The people, having gone through excruciating seven and half years of pains and hopelessness under the APC are now in total support of the PDP and Atiku Abubakar.

The APC is cautioned to note that the people of Ondo State have NEVER and will NEVER be subdued or repressed by any oppressive force. The history of Ondo people is replete with stiff resistance to oppression, repression and any attempt by anybody to disrupt their normal peaceful lives.

We therefore urge Governor Rotimi Akeredolu as the Chief Law Officer of the State to call his party members to order as he will be held responsible should there be any attack on PDP members or breakdown of Law and Order before, during and after the PDP Presidential Rally in the State.

The PDP also charges security agencies to take immediate action to halt the APC and its thugs in their nefarious plot against the people of Ondo State. Any attempt by the APC to disrupt the PDP Campaign is a direct assault against the people of Ondo State and they will definitely resist it.

For the umpteenth time, our Party calls on President Muhammadu Buhari, even in the face of the inevitable defeat of the APC in the 2023 general elections, to rein in his party members as their actions have the capacity of derailing our democratic process.

The PDP salutes and commends the people of Ondo State for their courage and determination to stand with our Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar in the PDP’s mission to Rescue, Rebuild and Redirect our nation from the horrible misrule of the APC.
