My experiment/update:

I created the virtual card on Wema Bank app and I was charged N500.

I now went ahead to use the virtual card created on the Wema Bank App to make purchase of $5.32, it successfully went through instantly and I was debited N5,025.12

This means 944.57 per dollar. Costlier but more secure transaction, no deposit & no unnecessary hidden charges.

I have a wema account but I don't have a wema physical card so I made enquiry if their virtual card in the wema app can work. This is their response (check screenshot)...

The Lead Pastor of The Evening Church in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, Pastor Runcie Mike, is dead.

During the burial services on Friday, he was emotional and weeping like a baby
because the deceased was very close to him and few hours after the burial he was said to be dead.

When the news broke, many of the church members labelled it fake news as it was extremely sudden.

The leadership of the church later confirmed the sad development.

According to the church, Pastor Mike who officiated a burial service on Friday died on Saturday, 1st of July, 2023.

He was said to have died after a brief sickness.

Because you have to go deposit the money in to your dollar account in any of their branch, they will collect your naira and convert it to dollar and deopist it to your Dom account, they don't charge you shi shi for anything, let me tell you the truth every other bank dom account na bullshit for nigeria here. 1st answer: When they charge you $10 for yearly fee, they simply deduct $10 from your account. The money (dollars) in your account is the one you deposited when you got it from black market or aboki. So the rate is the same as black market.

To assist in answering your second question, what is the difference between Uba dom account and Uba prepaid dollar account?

First, you cannot fund binance from the bank, you can only open the p2p in binance and buy from sellers. Its as simple as ABC, would guide you if you request in my profile.

Payday has increased their rates, i don run leave them.

Gotok and Pyypl now have the best rates since they use the same rate in p2p of binance. Just small/minor charge.

GOTOK is the best for me because the minimum top-up amount is as low as $1.00 while the minimum for Pyypl is $5.00

Anyways, make your choice.

Okay a new development,

In my previous review, I recommended Pyypl as the cheapest in terms of rates.

After additional experiments, Payday is now what I use.

Reasons: Their rate is between 746/$ - 749/$ which is cheaper when compared to pyypl. Secondly, you can fund by paying to your virtual wema bank account directly to fund your card unlike pyypl that you fund via binance.


Note: My advice is, always fund what you wish to use immediately.
